1. She’s Independent

Powell is an extremely independent person. She tells The Attitude that she adopted this mindset after her divorce. “It contributed hugely,” she said. “Because what's happened now – and that's 10 years on – is that I'm extremely independent. I feel far more secure in myself about what I can achieve and what I can do on my own. And that goes from what clothes I wear. I'm a completely different person. I dress differently. I've taken control.”

2. She Asks For Help

As independent as she is, Powell also isn’t afraid to admit when she needs help. “Don’t [ever] be afraid to ask for help,” she said to The Attitude. “Don't ever be afraid to say, ‘Look, should I be unsure about this?’ or ‘I could really do with you helping me with this.’ And I think you have to take that onboard sometimes to just say, ‘You know what: I've got her, him, him, her… And I'm going to draw on that today because I need it.”

3. She Loves Yoga

Powell is open about her love of yoga. She has posted photos on Instagram of herself in different poses. “It's changed my life – honestly,” she said to The Attitude. “I've done it properly for the past year, I mean properly. It's accepting the fact that you can take one hour out of the day.”

4. She Goes After What She Wants

In her interview with The Attitude, Powell stressed the importance of going after what she wants, and not second-guessing herself. “I do believe deep down that you've got to dig deep,” she says. “You just have to take a bit of that energy from that fire in your belly and you have to go for it. There's no such thing as ‘I'd love to’; just do it.”

5. She Cooks Meals From Scratch

Powell opened up about her favorite meals to Your Healthy Living. She says that she does a lot of cooking for her family. She also says that she avoids using processed foods or things that just need to be heated up. “I always make sure that we cook our meals from scratch. I don’t use anything processed or ready-made.”

Jamie Otis, the influencer, author, podcaster, and reality star, is looking forward to the warmer weather. Otis celebrated Memorial Day Weekend, and posted a stunning new reel on Instagram. In it, Otis walked in a desert canyon. She wore a black bathing suit, showing off her body. She captioned the reel, “This weekend marks the beginning of summer.☀️ We all have body hair, stretch marks, cellulite, and rolls…Wear the suit and go enjoy yourself.👙😎🏝.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Jamie Otis stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Embraces Her Body

Otis is proud of her body, and she wants people to know it. She talks about self-love and body positivity on a lot of her Instagram posts, including her most recent Memorial Day reel. “We all have body hair, stretch marks, cellulite, and rolls,” Otis wrote. “Wear the suit and go enjoy yourself.”

2. She No Longer Takes “Before & After” Photos

One thing Otis is doing to help herself stay confident is not taking “before and after” photos for social media, especially after having her two kids. She revealed her explanations for doing this in this reel. “I'm never taking a degrading "before" pic again. It's just not for me anymore. After having my first rainbow baby, my goal was to fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes asap. It was never about health. It's taken me decades to learn that I'm more than my pant size & the number on the scale doesn't define me. Halle-freakin-lujah.

3. She Went On A Cleanse

Otis revealed in this reel that she was about to make a lot of changes to her diet and lifestyle. “Today I am cutting out gluten, dairy, alcohol, and extra sugars bc my skin has been so red and dry,” she explained. “It's like my body has been screaming at me to take better care of it. I've got that eczema on my eyelids, dandruff and itchy scalp, and just ya know, no energy & always feeling physically & mentally drained.”

4. She Worked Out While She Was Pregnant

2019 A+E Networks UpfrontDia Dipasupil/Getty Images

Otis made sure to get workouts in while she was pregnant. On her website, she explained her reason for doing so. “I am committed to staying strong and healthy for me and my rainbow baby. I know that the first half of my pregnancy was a struggle, but I’m getting back on track (and writing this blog/putting it out into the world is my way of holding myself accountable)!”

5. She Opened Up About Her Struggles

In 2019, a controversial “Heartbeat Bill” was passed in some states, which would limit access to abortions, with Alabama banning them completely. When this happened, Otis wrote a guest piece for People about her own abortion, wanting to let others know they weren’t alone, and to reduce the stigma. “I know I’m going to get backlash for opening up about my past. Like I said, my abortions still torment me and I hate that I had to have them. However, am I thankful? Of course. I wouldn’t be able to be a good mother to my daughter right now or have been able to be a good parent to my siblings back then. The cycle continues because there’s not enough education about sex and birth control, and not enough support. There’s not enough constructive discussion about abortion. It sucks. It really sucks. But the truth of the matter is it is a necessary option.”

Jenny Powell is flaunting her fit-at-54 figure! 1. She Lives Healthy

Living a healthy lifestyle is a priority for Jenny. “Yes, it is top of my list in self-care. If I am healthy and happy then so are my kids. I am desperate for the idea of living healthily to rub off on the younger generation. Being the best I can possibly be in work and play means taking responsibility for my own health and way of living,” she told Your Healthy Living.

2. She Is Consistent

Consistency is a key part of Jenny’s plan of health. “I make sure that my fitness and health regime become part of my daily routine and fall in place around all the other daily commitments I have being a busy, multi-tasking, working mum. It’s easy to leave looking after your health at the end of the to-do list, but I have a schedule that includes it comfortably and it’s only when I don’t stick to it that I feel bad! Consistency is key and taking time out every day to make sure that you have time for you and your health is imperative,” she told Your Healthy Living.

3. She Eats Healthy

Jenny is into healthy eating. “I always have organic food and make a day of it at the farmers market ... grass-fed beef only, lots of fish and organic chicken. We have lots of fermented/unpasteurized foods like kombucha, kefir, pickles and sourdough. Organic eggs are a staple and no sweet fizzy drinks or sugar,” she said. “I have a green juice or kefir and fruit in the morning and two coffees. Then I’ll have organic poached eggs on sourdough with bacon and avocado after hot yoga at about 11am. I might have leftovers from the night before at lunchtime or homemade soup and sourdough, then a lovely grass-fed beef stew from the slow cooker with lots of rice and veg at teatime.”

4. She Cooks

Jenny cooks her own meals. “I am determined not to buy processed foods/ready meals so I have to cook! It makes me feel good to see the family eating together around the table and a big dish of home-made shepherd's pie or similar with lots of crisp veg rather than a TV dinner on your lap!” she told Your Healthy Living.

5. She Does Hot Yoga

Jenny is “completely addicted to hot yoga!” she told Your Healthy Living. “I practice four times a week if I can and also do kettlebells and strength training in the gym at home. My yoga is my lifesaver mentally and physically – the best thing I have ever done!”

6. She Rocks a Bikini with Pride at 54

Jenny is proud to be wearing a bikini in her 50s. "Will I still be wearing a bikini in my 60s and 70s? Hell yeah! I'm accepting of myself and I'm going to embrace my moments of feeling great and people can take it or leave it,” she told Closer magazine. “I can't believe Christie Brinkley posed in a bikini recently and got slagged off for it because she's 67. She looked unbelievable.”

7. Her Boyfriend Inspires Her to Be Healthier

Jenny’s much-younger boyfriend inspires her to eat healthier. "He has been into it for years because of all the health benefits. I used to think he was mad but he has me doing it now,” she told Closer. "He has introduced me to clean eating too, so I am aware of refined sugars. He’s always said, ‘Your gut health is the core of everything, from appearing younger to feeling it’.”

TV personality Jenny Powell just posted a stunning new series of beach photos. In them, she sat in the sand while wearing a black bikini. Powell’s incredible figure was on display. She captioned the post: “Embrace. Look up. Soak up. Take that feeling with you. Lots gone on in this past year, Dad passed away,my menopause hit hard and that was just in my world 🙄

Dad’s passing has made me look up a lot more ( mainly talking to him !!)

Also I’ve learnt to avoid the ‘noise’ that hormones and grief can bring. This beach is called Silent Beach .. think we should all have a place at home to be silent .. it’s nourishing and recharges you and gives you time to reflect and manage your thoughts that sometimes lead you astray 🙏 think my silent place will be in the wardrobe ( not many options tbh! ) Where’s yours ?.” How does she stay so fit? She captioned it, “Any time any place anywhere .. there is always a headstand to share!’ It’s early but the kids are asleep and with no onlookers, I’m thinking that my ‘me time’ is NOW. Go get your ‘me time’ before the critters wake up.”

4. She Wants To Inspire Her Daughters

In an interview with Your Healthy Living, Powell says that one of her main motivations for staying healthy is her two daughters. She says that this also includes having a good attitude about her body. “I wasn’t quite so aware when I was younger, but since having my daughters, Connie and Pollyanna, I’ve become much more aware of my diet and eating healthily. I think it’s important to be a good role model to my children because I want them to grow up to be strong and healthy and to know what they should and shouldn’t be eating. I think so many kids are unaware of the dangers of sugar and processed foods. It’s also shocking the increasing numbers of people who are obese and who have diabetes. We need to educate our children to look after their bodies.”

5. She Cooks Her Meals

Rayna Vallandingham is flashing her washboard abs – in a two-piece exercise set from Alo. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her impressive midsection during a workout at the gym. “dojang diaries,” she captioned the series of snaps. “Magnific! Very very beautiful,” commented one of her followers. “♥️More like diaries of a hottie♥️” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Be Consistent

Consistency – at the gym and the martial arts studio – is the key to success. "It is a way of life," Rayna says. "It's not only teaching your body movements and being in synchronicity with your body, but also just like the mental aspect of it."

Fight Your Way to a Hot Body

Rayna is a big fan of martial arts. She has been doing taekwondo since she was 2, earning her first black belt at 6. "In the very beginning, my parents put me in the sport because I was just really shy, and I think they could tell that I needed something," says Vallandingham, who lives and trains in Los Angeles. "Immediately, I just loved it. I felt at home, and every single day, instead of watching Dora, I wanted to go to the dojo,” she told Well + Good. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function, psychological health, weight loss, and physical fitness.

Work on Strength and Flexibility

Rayna recommends prioritizing strength, flexibility, and power. "Of the three, I think strength and flexibility are the top two," Vallandingham says. "We used to have people stand on my legs and force my knees to come down in butterfly stretch," she says. "I have permanent damage to my body—I have tendonitis [because of this]."

Lift Weights

If you want a strong, lean body like Vallandingham, you must lift for it. The star strength trains, focusing on supersets, doing two moves back-to-back that target the same muscle groups to double down on their gains. One of her favorite exercises is a goblet squat. She stands with her feet shoulder-width apart, folded forward until she can slide her palms underneath her soles (you could also hold your ankles or calves), then bends her knees, lowering her butt toward the floor while lifting her chest, coming into a deep squat. She'll bend and extend her legs several times in this position. Then, it's on to the main event, holding a weight in her hands while bending down into a deep squat. "I love utilizing a Bosu ball—they're pretty much in every single gym," she adds.

Stretch

Rayna never skips stretching. She starts by by lying on the floor with her legs up the wall and then allowing them to open out into a side split. "I let gravity do its work because that's my body telling me, okay, this is where we're at," she says. "My hips are opening on their own, and I'm not having to force anything." “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

In a new social media post the Olympian shows off her fantastic figure – including her flat abs – in an exercise set while enjoying the winter weather. “TRAINING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND! ❄️🥶❤️✨Gearing up in this altitude for the LONDON MARATHON this April! I’m so excited to see what my mind and body can make happen! To my marathon runners: it’s your time to shine, PLEASE tell me ALL of your tips, all of your advice, and for all of you who understand what I’m about to attempt, please send your words of encouragement 😂 Also feel free to try to talk me out of this as well thanks👍 We are on the training countdown. Turning a sprinter, jumper, and thrower into a long distance runner 🫣🙌 What do you think my time will be?” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Minfulness and Meditation

Charli practices mindfulness. Before going for a run, she says words of intention. “I am willing. I am grateful. I surrender,” she revealed during an interview with San Diego Magazine. Meditation:

“When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Stretching

She also makes sure to stretch. “If you ever can think of some dynamic stretches: F.A.S.T. ✨🙌 My left hip and right QLs have been SO tight lately so I’m on a journey of getting them right! What’s bugging you at the moment???” she captioned a post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Here Is The Right Way To Run

During her interview with San Diego, Charli explained how you should be running. “Remember, the sole of the foot is showing right in front of us,” she said, doing a type of high-knee movement. “To do this, you’re over exaggerating your running form while standing still. Raise your knee up, point your toes to the clouds (forming an A), and then pedal the sole of your foot forward before striking your knee down. It’s more complicated than it sounds after 30-plus years of moving a certain way,” the writer explained.

Positive Attitude

In a recent post Charli revealed things she learned about positivity. “Patience is easier when it isn’t required,” she said. “The people around you are BLESSINGS (which I feel like I already understood but sometimes it’s nice to have it emphasized).” Also, “We are up, we are down, but trusting the process sometimes means knowing that it’s all good even when it’s not the best” and “Making a plan is the best option for everything. It’s ok if the plan doesn’t go perfect, but just willy-nilly-ing it is not the best option when you want to get things done.”

Never Giving Up

Charli refuses to give up. “Understand what you want first, and then go for it. Then keep going for it all the time, and, eventually, you’ll get it,” she said during her interview.

Giulia Arena first made waves when she won the 2013 Miss Italia pageant. Since then, she’s become a successful actress, TV host, and model. Arena recently took a trip to the Maldives. She shared a set of photos on Instagram of herself at the beach. In them, Arena is seen in a white swimsuit. She captioned the post, “Native habitat.”

Biking

Giulia enjoys cycling. During her trip to the Maldives Giulia went bike riding. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Reading

Giulia is also a fan of books. In the Maldives, she took some time to relax and read. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

Snorkeling

Giulia snorkels, recently discovering the “Sea Lung,” she revealed in a post. “It reaches 60cm long with a weight of almost 10kg, and represents the largest medusa of the Mediterranean. I don’t know why, but I have always experienced the charm of Jellyfish: creatures that are essentially simple and yet capable of surviving entire geological epochs floating, light and slow, between the currents. She, remains one of the most beautiful sights of this summer.” Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Coffee

Giulia is a coffee drinker. She especially likes shots of espresso. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Yoga

Giulia is a yogi. Here she is doing yoga. There are many reasons to do yoga, according to Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”
