Simpson has been a pop culture icon for so long. Notably, she went through a public divorce from Nick Lachey in the early 2000s. However, Simpson tells The Real that she has learned from her mistakes. “I learned from it. I learned from it that there's a lesson in everything and I was so young.

One workout Simpson likes to do to stay in shape is yoga. She posted this photo of herself in a warrior pose on Instagram. “Starting the week with a warrior mindset aligned with the beauty of the sunset,” she wrote. “Stress can reveal itself in many ways, including back or neck pain, sleeping problems, headaches, drug abuse, and an inability to concentrate,” says Natalie Nevins, DO, a board-certified osteopathic family physician and certified Kundalini Yoga instructor in Hollywood, California, according to the American Osteopathic Association. “Yoga can be very effective in developing coping skills and reaching a more positive outlook on life.”

"So, the small goals for me are what helped me achieve the main goal."

That's why we are not a big fan of doing any extreme diet or radical forms of exercise.”

Emily Simpson has been documenting her fitness journey and recently shared she's lost 40 pounds. The Real Housewives of Orange star posted a compilation video showing off her progress throughout the last few months and wrote, “Around age 42 I gained 40 pounds and it wasn’t until now (age 47) that I was able to finally get it off and feel like my old self again…,” She added “Just to be clear though… I rocked a bathing suit on TV for 5 years and never felt ugly or not confident in myself or my body. Not once.” Simpson contributes the weight gain to hormones and has worked hard to shed the unwanted pounds. Here's how the TV personality dropped the weight. Read on.

1. She Was Ready to Make a Change

In an interview with Us Weekly, Simpson shared that the reason for wanting to lose weight was that she didn't recognize herself. “We finished filming in November [2022] and I remember we filmed the title cards and our showrunner sent a photo of me that he took with his cell phone. And honestly, I didn’t even recognize myself,” she explained. “I was like, ‘Who is that?’ And then I was like, ‘Oh, that’s me.’ I really neglected myself those four months that we were filming. I ate too much, drank too much, didn’t go to the gym, didn’t work out and I felt really down, really depressed, really dark when we finished filming.”

2. She Hit the Gym

Simpson ditched some of her unhealthy habits and started working out more. “I cut out a lot of things and I go to the gym seven days a week and work out," she told the outlet. "I work out like I’m training for a fitness competition. … That’s kind of the whole story.”

3. She Took Ozempic

Ozempic,Insulin,Injection,Pen,Or,Insulin,Cartridge,Pen,For,Diabetics.Shutterstock

The 47-year-old admits to taking Ozempic to "jumpstart" her goals but said she didn't take it for long. “The thing that bothers me the most is that when people comment on the way that I look, they constantly say, ‘Ozempic, Ozempic,’ she told Us Weekly. "And it’s like, yes, I did use that nine months ago or however many months ago it was, but I don’t like that it discounts all the hard work I put in."

4. She's Consistent

Since starting her wellness regime, Simpson has been dedicated and consistently going to the gym daily. "I don’t care if you say that all you want," she emphasized, referring to her taking Ozempic. "But at least gimme credit for seven days a week, getting up at 6 a.m. every morning and busting my butt in the gym every single day.”

5. She Got Lipo

While Simpson has been making healthier food choices and working out daily, she did admit to having cosmetic surgery done. "The liposuction [in my arms] was helpful,” she told Us.

Jessica Simpson, the singer, actress, and fashion designer, has yo-yo dieted over the years. After her body was chiseled to perfection playing Daisy Duke in Dukes of Hazzard, she spiraled in the other direction, reaching well over 200lbs. After realizing there needs to be balance to maintain the weight loss, gaining a good relationship with food and exercise, she has now found a good middle ground. The proof is in her new photo of her in a swimsuit in a hanging chair, and captioned the photo "Texi Cali." How does she stay so fit? 1. She Worked With Two Trainers to Feel Like Herself Again

She worked with not one, but two trainers to shed 100lbs. Harley Pasternak and Sydney Liebes helped Simpson with her full body workouts multiple times a week for 45 minutes. After slimming down, Jessica decided not to focus on the scale. She dropped 100lbs in just 6 months, then stopped putting emphasis on the number. “I couldn’t handle being so big and my ankles were swollen. So I’m just happy to feel comfortable again. I was literally uncomfortable for so long that now it’s just nice to relax,” she said.

2. She Followed Her Doctors' Advice

She’s always worked with her doctor on what weight loss plan she should try. She enjoyed Weight Watchers, even acting as a spokesperson for them at one point. During her pregnancy, her and her doctor decided she would not be following the Weight Watchers plan while pregnant. They work closely on what’s best for Jessica’s health.

3. The Challenges Grew, But She Faced Them Head On

Jessica has fluctuated with her weight on and off for years. After each baby, it became that much more difficult. Pasternak helped her each time. “My mantra is you get lean in life, and strong in the gym. So the majority of the weight loss actually came from everything she did outside of the gym, and then everything in the gym is about toning and tightening,” Pasternak says.

4. She Cheats Here and There

Jessica is allowed to cheat here and there. “If she has a birthday party one night and a date night another night, she’s going to indulge both of those nights, but that’s it. It’s about balancing in a way that doesn’t make it painful or too much of a departure from your life before that,” said Pasternak. Jessica admits it’s been a lot of hard work.

5. She Enjoys Walking

One of the first things Simpson did to get to a healthy place after Birdie was born is start walking. It’s low impact and gets the body moving. She’d slowly increase her daily step count, aiming for 12,000-14,000. “If I haven’t moved enough, I’ll make sure and get in extra steps the next day,” she said.

2. She Works With A Personal Trainer

Simpson revealed on Instagram that while working with Pasternak, she dropped 100 pounds, and weighed 240 pounds while she was pregnant. “6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240),” Simpson captioned the photo showing off her weight loss. 3. She Worked With A Dietician

Simpson also works with nutritionist Liz Josefsburg, on her diet and meal plans. Josefsburg told HollywoodLife.com about her and Simpson’s process on developing her diet. “She spent well over 6 months working off weight from her first and second pregnancies. She ate regular meals throughout the day. Usually three times and a snack. The key for Jessica was moderation and learning to indulge intelligently.”

4. She Gets At Least 10,000 Steps In A Day

Simpson makes sure to get her steps in everyday. Simpson’s trainer, Harley Pasternak, told E! News that one of the changes he and Simpson made involved increasing her daily steps to 14,000 a day. Simpson’s nutritionist, Liz Josefsburg, agreed. "Jessica loves to walk. She gets out almost every day to hit at least 10,000 steps. She loves it because she can do it anywhere, she can do it with her family and it helped her lose weight after every baby," she said to HollywoodLife.com.

5. She Stays Hydrated

Jessica Simpson Celebrates Her Memoir "Open Book" At Macy's Herald SquareKevin Mazur/Getty Images

Simpson tries to stay hydrated throughout the day, as recommended by her nutritionist, Liz Josefsburg. Josefsburg told HollywoodLife.com, “Hydration is a secret weapon for weight loss. In my book Target 100 I urge people to get in at least 100 ounces per day. Which might seem like a lot, but it is right for our bodies. Staying fully hydrated while losing weight is critical. Much of the overeating we do is mistaking thirst for hunger. If we can keep our bodies, which are made up of over 60% water, hydrated, they burn calories and metabolize food at an optimal rate!”

How did the singer get into the best shape of her life after having her children? Here is everything you need to know about the lifestyle habits that helped her lose 100 pounds and keep it off.

1. Protein-Packed Meals

After Jessica welcomed Birdie in 2019, she was left with a lot of excess weight, which she attributes to a poor diet. “I went to a nutritionist, and I needed to get my eating habits right,” she recently told Extra. She follows Harley Pasternak’s The Body Reset diet, eating three healthy, protein-packed meals a day and two snacks, such as almonds.

2. Not Focusing on Weight

Scales,And,Measuring,Tape,On,Pink,Background.,Weight,Loss,ConceptShutterstock

Harley Pasternak, Jessica’s trainer, doesn’t like to use scales. “I never work with scales. My work with her is more about the habits she’s created and kept up. And as a byproduct of doing these habits, she lost 100 pounds,” he told People. "I have no idea how much I weigh," she added to Today. "I just want to feel good and be able to zip my pants up. If I don't, I have another size. I have every size."

3. Exercise

Jessica exercises with Pasternak regularly. At one point she was doing 45-minute strength and weight training sessions three days a week. Walking is a huge part of their program. At first, Pasternak had her walking 6,000 steps per day, eventually building up to 14,000, per E! News. “It’s a social thing that she can do with her kids," Pasternak said about walking.

5. Yoga

Jessica also loves yoga. What makes the zen practice great for losing weight? “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” says Harvard Health. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

5. Willpower – and No Ozempic

In a new interview with Bustle, Jessica confronted weight loss drug rumors "Oh Lord. I mean, it is not (Ozempic)," she said, referring to how she's lost weight. "It's willpower. I'm like, do people want me to be drinking again? Because that's when I was heavier. Or they want me to be having another baby? My body can't do it."

Bianca Bustamante is revving up her engine in 2025 – in her workout gear. In a new social media post, the racecar driver reveals she is taking “the next major step” in her physical journey as a race driver “and I’ve set the target high!” she says in a new Instagram post, filled with video clips of herself lifting heavy weights at the gym. “Never been more motivated in my life, it’s not physically easy for a girl in this sport, but I’m super excited to take on this new challenge and the next big step on my racing journey,” she added. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Lifting Weights

Bianca spends hours at the gym where she focuses on strength training along with endurance, cardio, reaction time, and reflexes. “You know, to be a driver, it’s a complete package. It takes strength. It takes mental fortitude. It takes reflexes, smart thinking, and survival skills,” she told MEGA Active. “Sometimes it's for the body, sometimes it's for the mind. Nothing more peaceful than early sessions,” she captioned an Instagram post of one of her sessions.

Double Down On Training

In her recent post, Bianca reveals that she working extra hard at the gym. “I’ve been working hard over the years to build a solid foundation, but in 2025, I’ll be working with @j_w_90 and I’m doubling down on my training. Increasing to two workouts a day not just on lifts but aerobic endurance, as well as a better focus on nutrition and rest, in order to raise the bar to compete in the higher formulas,” she said.

Fueling Your Body With Protein

Bianca makes sure to eat enough protein in order to build more muscle and stay as lean as possible to meet the weight requirement. “It’s been a really cool journey seeing my body develop and transform into this whole different person I never knew I could become,” she said. In her new post she added that she is meal prepping. “I’m soooo all in that im even learning how to cook & meal prep better than ever before,” she writes.

Taking Cold Plunges

As for recovery, cold plunging is part of Bianca’s training regime. Limited research supports the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increasing focus, improving sleep, and decreasing inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes post-sport recovery.

Working On Self-Esteem

Positive self-talk is also important. “Of course, I put a lot of pressure on myself, but in the end, I always tell myself that as long as I give my best and I learn from it, any mistake I make is valid,” Bianca explained. “I always try to repeat that to myself that I am valid. I’m here for a reason and there’s nothing I would rather do than be here.”

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Jogging

Brenda enjoys jogging. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

Walking Her Dog

She also takes her dog on long walks. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Dancing

You can also find Brenda dancing to burn calories. Dancing is an excellent workout for many reasons. It builds strength and promotes flexibility, helps you lose weight, and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop or die from heart disease than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues

Swimming

Brenda spends a lot of time in her swimsuit so it isn’t surprising she loves to swim. According to the CDC, swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, multiple studies support the mental health benefits of swimming.

Hydration

Finally, Brenda hydrates, especially after a long workout or sun exposure. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

Romani makes sure to work out on a regular basis. She shares a lot of Instagram stories in her highlights of herself at the gym. The Mayo Clinic says that regular exercise is extremely important. “Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help you keep off lost weight. When you take part in physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn. She Supports Animals

Romani has her own charity, Help Miami Cats. She talked about how she started this in the caption of this Instagram post. “❤️ Guys!!!! I have always loved cats and had many growing up. When I moved to Miami Beach I met a great calico named Chacha and learnt that cats were brought to the city by Mayor Lummus … against rodents. Cats rely on volunteers for their food and water and there’s a huge amount of them. There’s a city program to Spay and neuter with the wonderful @sobecats ladies and the feeding is made official by a City Sanctioned badge, yet new cats keep getting dumped daily sadly and there’s a never ending amount of work, emergencies and so on. I was on a feeding rotation but during the pandemic I was left alone caring for so many as people left town or couldn’t afford feeding anymore …I decided to start my own non profit @helpmiamicats . We feed close to 200 and when Batman got paralyzed took him and other special needs cats under my care … @stevensachs69 with the cat room and the amazing people involved devote their lives to these special souls … My life has changed a lot too … way less spare time, way more sweat and tears and lost the person I had by my side who had sadly other priorities … yet gained so much love from these lovely creatures !!! If you can please get involved in any way … follow @helpmiamicats , share, volunteer, adopt … donate … Only together we can make their world a better place !!! And yes … just me feeding the kitties and talking to them … 🤷🏻♀️👀😆❤️🙌”
