Years ago, Dekker committed to eating right. "I decided to make a change and focus on [eating more] veggies and just eating really clean, and paying attention to nutrition," she told SELF. "I’m running around with my kids, and there were times I used to forget to feed myself and would it be a problem because I would get exhausted and just crash," she says. That’s why she once promoted the South Beach Diet prepared meals.
2. She Stepped it Up at the Gym

“The top of this year I decided to really step it up in the gym!” she wrote on social media this February. “I know my core will probably never be as strong as it used to be but... I’m gonna try! I have goals and I’m not stopping until I’m there.” Clearly it worked. The pandemic sparked her. “I gained the quarantine 10, like everybody did,” she told E! News. “I mean, we were having, like, wine every night for a minute there. I’m like, ‘Oh my god, this is not a good habit!’” “We’re back on a good program,” she said. “I’m working out a few times a week. I’m eating well. And so I just feel good about it.”

"I am such a lover of food," she tells Women's Health. "Everyone around me—my friends, my family—knows it; I am a foodie. "I like to be in shape and feel that energy," Jessie says. "I use food as my fuel."

"When I wake up, I start with some coffee and a little cream and stevia. I drink it all morning long," Jessie told Women's Health. "I don't like to eat until I'm actually hungry, which is usually later, around 11 a.m." Also, yum: "I'll have some bread from a local bread company. I get fresh honey wheat bread every week," she says. "That's honestly what we all eat for breakfast: Toast and butter. We have salted butter that we leave out, so it's really nice and mushy when we're spread it on on our bread. We love our toast in the morning."

"I always tell mothers, like, that should be the last thing on your mind," she stressed. "After you have a baby, please do not think about trying to lose weight. Just feed your baby. Love on your baby. You have a newborn. Your body is trying to heal. You will know when your body is ready. Don't listen to your brain telling you, 'Lose weight, lose weight.' You'll know when you physically feel like, 'OK, I feel like I'm ready to kind of have that energy and can run around,’” she told E!.

“Gonna [sic] be honest ... I hate working out. I dread it.” Decker once posted. “I’m one of those girls that watches the clock and counts down to the last second when I can be done. I wish I enjoyed it. I wish I was a big workout junkie but the truth is I just don’t!”
