1. She Isn’t Seeking Approval From Others

Nelson has been open about her struggles with her mental health and her body. She says that she was extremely impacted by negative comments on social media. However, Nelson told Cosmopolitan that she is no longer aiming to please people on social media, or in her real life. "Please don’t waste years of [your] life seeking approval from others, seek approval from yourself. Be your number one fan. You are the one in control of your happiness and you are the only one of you in this world and that’s pretty ... powerful!"
2. She’s Working On Accepting Herself

Nelson is open about her struggles with self-acceptance and her body. However, she wrote in a revealing Instagram post that she is working on doing so. “I'll never sit here and preach and say I love my body, because I don't, but I'm slowly starting to just accept it for what it is,” Nelson wrote. “Sometimes I'm gonna put on weight, and sometimes I'm gonna go to the gym and lose it, either way girlies, one day we will be really old and look back at our pics and think ‘god I was actually banging, why did I worry so much.’ Anyway I'm rambling on now, but you're all beautiful in your own ways, and I hope you all know that."
3. She Tries New Activities

In an interview on BBC’s Bitesize, Nelson revealed that she likes to try new physical activities. She says that this helps with both her physical and mental health. “Concentrating on something else can give your mind a break from worrying. Doing something active can release endorphins and remind you how amazing your body is. Because it really is amazing.”
4. She Boxes

Nelson revealed some of her health and wellness secrets in an interview with Glamour. She says that she has a go-to workout whenever she decides to hit the gym. “Boxing is my absolute favourite, I love it because it makes me feel like I'm not exercising.”
5. She Believes In Balance

When it comes to her diet, Nelson says that she believes in balance. She says to Glamour that she will indulge from time to time, and then do a workout. “When I start feeling rank, when I know I’ve indulged too much, then I start exercising,” she says. “We all love our junk food.”
