Nelson posted a series of photos on Instagram of herself and her friends enjoying a day at the beach. 1. She Doesn’t Aim To Please Others
Nelson is open about her struggles with eating disorders, unhealthy habits, and insecurities about her body. She even released a BBC documentary about her struggles. Today, Nelson is working on accepting herself. In an Instagram post, Nelson revealed that she is working on only pleasing herself, and not others. "Even when I got to a size 8 from starving myself, I still wasn’t happy. I mentally bullied myself every day to try to please other people. It’s taken me 10 years to realize that I’m the only person I need to please."
2. She Enjoys Food

In another Instagram post, Nelson admitted to her followers that she likes to pose in a way that makes her look skinnier. In the photo, Nelson did not do that pose, and revealed in the caption that she is working on enjoying food again. “Anyway I'm here to tell you I DONT have abs ladies, and this is what my chocolate loving belly really looks like. I'll never ever be a size 8, which is genuinely what I dreamt of being, but I've come to terms with the fact that I bloody love my food, and that will never change.”
3. She Likes To Box

Nelson tells Glamour that she loves to box as a way to stay in shape. She says that she both has a lot of fun doing it, and it helps her get out of a funk. “When I start feeling rank, when I know I’ve indulged too much, then I start exercising. Boxing is my absolute favourite, I love it because it makes me feel like I'm not exercising.”
4. She Tries New Things

In a BBC Bitesize interview, Nelson was asked what advice she would give to help with confidence. “Try throwing yourself into something you enjoy, taking up a new hobby or trying a new sport,” she advised. “Concentrating on something else can give your mind a break from worrying. Doing something active can release endorphins and remind you how amazing your body is. Because it really is amazing.”
5. She Accepts Her Body At All Sizes

In the same Instagram post about her abs, Nelson also revealed that she is working on accepting her body at all sizes. She says that she’s working on loving herself as well. “We're all different shapes and sizes and that's what makes us unique. I'll never sit here and preach and say I love my body, because I don't, but I'm slowly starting to just accept it for what it is and, sometimes I'm gonna put on weight, and sometimes I'm gonna go to the gym and lose it, either way...one day we will be really old and look back at our pics and think, ‘god I was actually banging why did I worry so much.’"
