1. She Loves Spinning

“I’m in decent shape,” Jodie tells the Irish Examiner. One of her favorite workouts? “I love spinning — I go to classes whenever I can.” The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

2. She Dances

Another workout Jodie can’t get enough of? “And I love dancing. I have a friend I dance with in my little studio in my house. It’s such fun,” she says. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

3. Her Diet Is Healthy

“My motto is 80% good, 20% bad. Sometimes it’s 50% bad and 50% good,” Jodi admits to Irish Examiner. “I’m quite good in the morning having oats and berries for breakfast. I really do enjoy vegetables and salads and everything like that.” However, she does have guilty pleasure. “Chocolate is a massive addiction that I’ve had since I was a little girl. Even if I’m eating really well, I’ll still end up having my chocolate in the evening. I love anything by Cadbury. When I’m being good I like dark chocolate — like Lindt Orange Intense.”

4. She Does Yoga

Jodie is certified as a yoga teacher. “I’m so grateful for the light it brought me in such a dark time for the world. ✨The foundation it has gave me & the fire it has ignited in me for writing/studying/learning & evolving,I truely cannot put into words.. forever grateful. Namaste,” she wrote in a post

5. She Priortizes Rest

Jodi makes sure to get enough sleep. “I literally hit the wall about 10 o’clock and then by 11pm, I’m just gone. I love my sleep,” she says. “It’s pretty simple. When the children are in bed, I get into my pyjamas and fluffy socks and have cup of tea, a bit of dark chocolate and just watch some TV and just relax. An hour of doing that and I’m happy.”
