1. She Works Out and Sometimes ‘Vegges Out,’ Too
“You definitely have to find a balance…because eating the right things has incredible health and healing benefits. It’s not about how you look – it’s about taking care of your body so you can be the best you. I also try to exercise 4-5 times a week, but that’s if I’m feeling really motivated. I absolutely love exercise because I feel energetic and happy when I work out on a regular basis, but sometimes ‘vegging out’ is so necessary,” she told the New Potato.
2. She Hikes
"Crossed hiking Table Mountain off my bucket list," Joey once wrote on Instagram. "Saw a beautiful sunrise on the way up, and had pancakes for breakfast...what a Sunday." “Starting a walking program takes initiative. Sticking with it takes commitment. But when you think of the potential health benefits, it's well worth your effort. Over time, you'll likely feel more invigorated,” says the Mayo Clinic.
3. She Practices Self-Love
“Most importantly, above all else, I practice self-love,” she told the New Potato.
“Your inner beauty shines when you are emotionally and physically kind to yourself. As far as diet and exercise go, I try to eat as healthfully as possible, but I don’t make myself crazy. If I’m craving a piece of bread or a bowl of pasta, sometimes I just need to listen to my body and indulge.”
4. She Has Done Work On Herself, Mentally
“I have done a lot of work for myself this year. I started therapy this year, which is something I have never done before. I started it to be the best version of myself that I am trying to be,” she said, speaking to Flaunt. She has tried not to put too much pressure on herself. "Being an actor is so tough because you have this image of who you are and what kind of image, in reality, you have no control of what people think of you. I started to see the downside of people having so much information about you or to your personality or personal information," she said.
5. She’s Used to Being in the Spotlight

"In this world, everyone wants to know your business and what you're doing," Joey told Entertainment Tonight while promoting The Kissing Booth 2. "And I think it's very interesting when you go through things and people kind of feel like they're owed an explanation, but I understand."
