“As far as diet and exercise go, I try to eat as healthfully as possible, but I don’t make myself crazy,” the actress said in an interview with The New Potato. “If I’m craving a piece of bread or a bowl of pasta, sometimes I just need to listen to my body and indulge. You definitely have to find a balance, though, because eating the right things has incredible health and healing benefits.” However, she added that she tries to stick with fruits, veggies, and protein, “but nobody is perfect.”
2. She Works Out Almost Daily

Fitness is a big part of Joey’s life. “It’s not about how you look – it’s about taking care of your body so you can be the best you,” she told The New Potato. “I also try to exercise 4-5 times a week, but that’s if I’m feeling really motivated. I absolutely love exercise because I feel energetic and happy when I work out on a regular basis, but sometimes ‘vegging out’ is so necessary.”

Joey has a number of favorite cheat foods. “I’d have pizza rolls for breakfast, a cinnamon bun for lunch, and krabby patties for dinner,” she said about her ideal day of indulging. “I will always cheat with chips and salsa. In an interview with Byrdie, Joey detailed her daily food diary. “"I wake up, I pack my Gatorade and many liters of water. I eat a big breakfast: a bowl of oats with lots of fruit and some toast. I head to training, where I fu**in' go for it for a few hours. Then I have meetings to prepare for the rest of the film. Then I take a shower, shove myself in an ice bath, and then I am miserable while I'm doing that. But then I get out and sleep like a goddamn baby."
7. Exercise Helps Her Destress

Joey revealed to Byrdie that she works out for her mind just as much as her body. "This sounds odd, but I didn't know I was the type of person that needs exercise to not feel wound up," she explained. "If I’m feeling pent up and I don't know why, if I just move my body, then all of a sudden I’m so much more relaxed."
