She Eats a Plant-Based Diet

"I've been starving for two years," Juana joked when she thought her microphone was off during an interview, according to La Nacio. She sticks to a plant based diet, eating vegetarian food only. She also has a chef, Jimena Monteverde, who prepares many of her meals.

She Grows Her Own Food

Juana grows her own food. "At home we have a garden and every time I learn more about it," she told La Nacion. In one of her posts she also explained that it helps her eat healthier. "Eating healthy, from my own harvest, my children in contact with food, life changes that do good!" she said. "The best thing I can do as a mother is to teach them respect for the environment and how to take care of it," she added in another about why she loves her garden.

She Hikes

Juana loves getting outside and going for hikes. Hiking is one of the greatest workout methods, per the National Parks Service. "No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between," they explain. It can help build stronger muscles and bones, improve your sense of balance, improve your heart health, and decrease the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.

She Drinks Green Juice

Juana loves drinking her nutrients. One of her favorite healthy drinks? Green juice. "That I love you…" she captioned a photo of one of her nutritious concoctions. Many of them are made out of celery and other greens.

She Cooks Her Own Meals

Juana loves to cook. Her Instagram feed is filled with photos and videos of the delicious looking plant-based meals that she prepares with produce from her garden. "Chili peppers and banana peppers, for example, contain capsaicin, which has been shown to have a number of health benefits. And then there's eggplant," says the Mayo Clinic. "A homegrown tomato is often a gardener's pride. Rich in antioxidants, tomatoes contain potassium, vitamin C and are a source of fiber. By embracing your green thumb, you may be able to unpack your vegetable basket instead of a grocery bag."
