Jutta Leerdam is a speed-skater, who competed in last year’s Winter Olympics. She recently did some snorkeling and shared a new underwater video on Instagram. In it, she swam among the seaweed and coral. Leerdam captioned the post, “I think the ice just melted. 💭 I looooved challenging myself and improving my breathwork. It almost felt like I could breathe under water. Thank you @tavicastro & @yanitayancheva for challenging me and introducing me to the under water life.” How does she stay so fit? 1. She Balances Her Diet

Balanced,Diet,-,Healthy,Food,On,Wooden,TableShutterstock

Leerdam has to pay attention to her diet. She tells Body & Fit that she makes sure to balance what she eats each day. “In the morning, I eat oatmeal and lots of fruit. It fills me up because I’m always super hungry from training. I really have to watch my protein intake. If I take too much I get too muscular. As a skater, I have to be strong but I don’t want to be too bulky. I see food as my energy. I need carbs. I need fat. I need everything. I eat plenty of vegetables and watch how much food I eat in general, but I wouldn’t say I have a cheat day. What really is a cheat day anyway? A burger contains animal proteins and good fats that I can use as energy. I’ll watch the saturated fats, but if I feel like it, I eat it, and I don’t feel guilty. I use the energy to train the next day.”

2. She Conditions

Leerdam talked about her favorite workouts to Body & Fit. She says that she does a lot of conditioning, especially during the off-season. “We cycle a lot in the summer, block training, mountain biking, hours of easy riding. That’s the conditioning part. You need a strong base condition to be able to peak at the right moment. In winter, it’s more skating, weight training, and cycling.”

3. She Takes Rest Days

Boss Spring/Summer 2023Getty Images

Leerdam does a lot of working out, but she also makes sure to make time for recovery. She tells Body & Fit that she makes time for rest days. “I relax because I need to recover. We need a rest day. I’ll go to dinner or out on the boat in summer, or in winter lay on the couch and be with my family. I try not to do too much on my rest days.”

4. She Swims

As you can see from her recent Instagram post, Leerdam loves to swim. She spends a lot of time at the beach, and shares a lot of photos on Instagram of herself in the water. Leerdam shared this underwater photo of herself snorkeling. She captioned the post, “Adventures.”

5. She Windsurfs

Leerdam doesn’t just like to swim at the beach. Another thing she enjoys doing is going windsurfing. Leerdam picked up the sport this past summer. She shared this video on Instagram of herself trying it out in the ocean. Leerdam captioned the post, “Loved trying some windsurfing. Hopefully to be continued.”

Leone loves to spend time at the beach. One thing she likes to do is swim. She posts a lot of photos and videos on Instagram of herself in the water. Leone posted this reel of herself in the water, captioning it, “Breathe in this freedom.”

3. She Goes Hiking

Leone loves to hike as a way to stay in shape. She posted this photo on Instagram of herself hiking by the beach. She captioned the post, “Hike of a certain level... There are hardships that enrich, roads without preferential lanes that lead to exciting panoramas and important experiences, to know your limits and try to overcome them. The goal, after a struggle, is always sweeter, but more than the goal is the journey that moves something inside us. Knowing ourselves better is one of the most powerful tools we have to improve ourselves. New awarenesses walking walking (and even a little climbing) Photo memory of epiphany.”

4. She Paddleboards

Leone shared a photo of herself on a paddleboard. “Sporty Spice 🐙.” “While the actual activity of standup paddleboarding is really more of an individual activity, if you decide to join a club as well there are great opportunities to meet likeminded people. You’ll be able to get tips and advice from others who may have been doing standup paddleboarding for longer and you could even look to arrange day trips to explore further afield," says AXA Health.

5. She Spends Time in the Sauna

“Sauna bathing, an activity that has been a tradition in Finland for thousands of years and mainly used for the purposes of pleasure and relaxation, is becoming increasingly popular in many other populations. Emerging evidence suggests that beyond its use for pleasure, sauna bathing may be linked to several health benefits, which include reduction in the risk of vascular diseases such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and neurocognitive diseases; nonvascular conditions such as pulmonary diseases; mortality; as well as amelioration of conditions such as arthritis, headache, and flu,” says the Mayo Clinic.

Jadyn Jannasch is heating up social media with her latest swimsuit snaps. The gorgeous blonde, rumored girlfriend of Dallas Cowboys star Dak Prescott, shows off her incredible figure while on a boat in one of her latest posts. “Yours,” she captioned the steamy snap. Who exactly is the gorgeous influencer and how does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 things to know about Jadyn Jannasch including how she stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Swims

The primary way that Jannasch stays in shape is by swimming. In high school, she lettered four years at Frisco High School in Dallas where she is from, and was named First Team State all of those years. She has been swimming at LSU for three years and specializes in breaststroke, per her LSU bio.

2. She Prioritizes Her Education

Jadyn might show off her booty, but she also takes care of her brain. The star athlete will be entering her senior year in the fall and majoring in mass communications.

3. She Has a Swimming Buddy – Her Brother

Jadyn clearly grew up with a workout buddy. Her brother, Jack, was also a swimmer at LSU. She says that “the amazing atmosphere, coaches, and the extreme want to be able to swim on the same team as her brother,” is one of the reasons she chose the school. “Last time on the block… and in the water 🥹! Sooo proud!” her father captioned a video of her brother earlier this year.

4. She Models on the Side

Jadyn obviously knows how to pose for the camera. While swimming and getting an education might be her top priority, she also shares modeling photos on the side.

5. She Loves the Hot Tub

In her latest social media posts, Jadyn soaks up the attention of her followers in a hot tub on a boat. Soaking in hot water can help you sleep and even help with minimizing anxiety and depression. One recent study found that baths, which are virtually the same things as jacuzzis, may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

Polish star Hanna Żudziewicz is showing off her spectacular dancing skills in a video posted on her Instagram. Wearing a black bathing suit top and gray shorts, Żudziewicz and partner Jacek Jeschke do a little dance on the beach before both of them end up falling over on the sand. “When you wanted to show off in front of your Dominican friends! 😎💃🏻😅,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Żudziewicz stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Fresh Salad

Żudziewicz enjoys fresh salads, especially with feta cheese. “Feta cheese contains beneficial microbes including yeasts and bacteria, such as Lactobacillus plantarum, which may help support gut health,” says registered nutritionist Nicola Shubrook. “In fact, probiotic yeasts from feta have been seen to tolerate low pH levels which puts them at greater chance of surviving the harsh environment of the stomach and getting to the part of the gut where they can be of most value.”

2. Coffee For Energy

Żudziewicz enjoys the energy boost coffee provides. “Coffee may help some people maintain alertness and energy levels thanks to its caffeine content,” Shubrook says. “When coffee is consumed, it is absorbed into the bloodstream and travels to the brain where it ‘fires up’ certain neurons which may improve memory, mood, energy and cognitive function, if consumed in moderation. Other reports suggest drinking coffee before exercise may reduce rates of exertion and potentially improve athletic performance.”

3. Calamari For Lunch

Fried,Squids,Or,Octopus,(calamari),With,Sauce,-,Unhealthy,FoodsShutterstock

Żudziewicz loves delicious calamari for a healthy lunch. “A basket of calamari is, no doubt, one of the most delicious ways to start a meal,” says nutritionist Robin Miller. “Nutritionally speaking, calamari (Italian for squid) is crammed with copper (one 3.5-ounce serving has 90% of your RDA). Why should you care? Copper is essential for all this: proper growth of the skeletal, nervous and cardiovascular systems; reducing inflammation and arthritis symptoms; pigmentation of hair, skin and eyes; building connective tissue; stimulating the brain; absorbing iron; stalling aging; producing energy in the body; inhibiting bacteria such as E-Coli; reducing cholesterol and boosting immunity.”

4. Dancing Queen

Żudziewicz dances for a living, which is a fantastic workout in itself. “Dancing is mainly linked to physical health benefits, but when you dance you are moving different parts of your body in a coordinated way, and this activates several parts of the brain,” says the British Heart Foundation. “One small study even found that dancing is associated with a lower risk of dementia. The research, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, followed 469 people aged 75 and over, who didn’t have dementia at the start of the study. The researchers measured the association between leisure and physical activities and the likelihood of developing dementia over time. They found that dancing was the only physical activity associated with a lower risk of dementia.”

5. She Loves To Swim

Żudziewicz enjoys swimming. “Swimming is the fourth most popular sports activity in the United States and a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity,” says the CDC. “Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. This can also lead to improved health for people with diabetes and heart disease. Swimmers have about half the risk of death compared with inactive people. People report enjoying water-based exercise more than exercising on land. They can also exercise longer in water than on land without increased effort or joint or muscle pain.”

1. She Enjoys Water Sports

Bruna stays active while she is on the beach with a variety of water sports. One of her favorites? Jet skiing. “The color of this sea,” she captioned a recent Instagram video. “Who would risk it in this group? 😂 💦 I went slowly, scared of sharks lol,” she captioned another post.

2. She Snorkels

Another water activity that Bruna gravitates toward? Snorkeling. “Snorkel time,” she captioned a recent post. While snorkeling might not be the obvious fitness choice, surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

3. She Walks

Bruna travels around the world and spends a lot of time walking and exploring. “If I can give you a good tip for getting to know a new place: do everything walking. You will discover the corners, restaurants, shops... We walked a lot on this trip,” she captioned a post from New York City. A recent study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

4. She Stays Hydrated

You can often find Bruna getting her hydration on by drinking out of a coconut. “It's raining (a lot) out there, and I just wanted to be like this.. ,” she captioned a post. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids.

5. She Stand Up Paddle Boards

Bruna also enjoys stand up paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and also a great form of cardio, as it can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140 pound male and 436 for a female the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
