Actress Kalki Koechlin, the winner of the National Film Award and two Screen Awards, is trying out the popular ice bath method. However, it didn’t go too well for her. She posted a new photo on Instagram of herself in the bath while wearing a navy swimsuit. 1. She Tried Ice Baths

As you could see in her Instagram post, Koechlin decided to try the popular method of ice baths as a way of muscle recovery. While Koechlin didn’t spend too much time in the bath, she did still get some form of healing. Ice baths have a lot of benefits, according to AceFitness.org. “Cold water immersion (CWI) is frequently used as a viable method to recover from an exercise-training session or competitive performance because it is believed to aid in lessening muscle fatigue and soreness, and, ultimately, reducing the overall time needed for recovery.”

2. She Spends Time Outside

Koechlin loves to spend time outside, and she loves to post photos of her adventures on Instagram. She likes to swim in the pool, sunbathe, and hang out at the farm. Spending time outside has a lot of health benefits. According to the CDC, “The outdoors offers many opportunities to be physically active. Time outdoors may also promote mental health and stress reduction.”

3. She’s A Feminist

Koechlin is open about being a feminist. She tells Programme Eve that she wants to help fix some of the inequalities that women face in the acting world. “I think that the glass ceiling is an issue in all industries. The film industry is no exception, especially when it comes to gender parity. And it’s not just in Bollywood – even in Hollywood, women are paid less than men for doing the same job.”

4. She Grew Up In A Free Household

Koechlin opened up about her childhood in her Programme Eve interview. She says that her parents never imposed any gender stereotypes or religion on her. She thinks that this has helped her become the person she is today, and advocates for gender equality. “I grew up in a household where I wasn’t imposed on religion or a way of thinking. I was supposed to make my own decisions and find my own path. At home, I was treated the same way as my brother, and we were given the same importance. I was taught to change tires and bulbs, my brother was taught to help out in the kitchen, and we grew up with shared responsibilities.”

5. She Looks Out For Others

Koechlin tells Programme Eve that she thinks it is important to look out for other women. “And women – clearly it’s in our best interest to look after each other! If we don’t start helping ourselves and each other out, we can’t wait on the men to do it for us. We have to lead the way. I’ve always believed that the sisterhood, the idea of sharing women’s stories, understanding other women, knowing that you are not alone is very empowering.”
