Krzan uses resistance bands as part of her daily workout routine. “Resistance bands are incredibly simple, but they’re also extremely effective at working your muscles,” says celebrity trainer Kathy Smith. “What I love about resistance bands is they can be used for a comprehensive, full-body workout that challenges virtually every major muscle group in your body. The good news is they take up almost no room and can be stashed in a drawer after you’re done working out.”

2. Fresh Coconut

Krzan loves fresh coconut milk, especially when she’s on vacation. “About 50% of the medium-chain saturated fatty acids (MCFAs) in coconut oil are a type called lauric acid, which is converted in the body into a highly beneficial compound called monolaurin, an antimicrobial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory that destroys a wide variety of disease-causing organisms,” says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. “It's therefore thought that the consumption of coconut milk and other coconut-derived foods may help protect the body from infections and viruses.”

For example, the average person has a 60-70% chance of experiencing low-back pain at some point in their lifetime,” says NASM-certified personal trainer Melissa Boyd. “This risk is greatly reduced with core training. Strong muscles reduce the stress to the joints they support. Strong core muscles protect the spine—a very common area of injury.”

Krzan understands the importance of alone time for mental health and self reflection. “I’m always trying to be myself, so finding something that people don’t know about me is really hard,” she says. “The only thing that comes to my mind is that only a small group of people knows that besides the fact that I’m a tough woman, I’m also a really sensitive and tender person who sometimes needs to stay alone and overcome every weakness by myself.”

5. Happiness From Inspiring Others

It’s important to Krzan that her journey will inspire others. “I’m really proud of being Miss Universe Poland,” she says. “Besides the fact that I know I will always be a part of the history of Polish beauty pageants, I have a huge possibility to help others to achieve their dreams, because I am already the example of a fulfilled human. Now I have many new duties and responsibilities but I’m so happy that I became Miss Polonia. It was one of my biggest dreams.”

I take at least one bath a day, sometimes multiple,” she says. “When I get home from set, I run a bath with either Epsom salts or a funky bath bomb and some oils in it then lie there and soak in some dim lighting. That’s usually my decompression routine, and If I can convince my lovely boyfriend to give me a shoulder massage or a foot massage, that always helps!”

Karam’s loves indulging in the occasional burger. “The first thing I remember cheating with on The Brave…I didn’t cheat the whole time I was in Albuquerque,” she says. “And then I came out to L.A., and my best friend was here from London, and he really wanted a burger. So I took him to this burger place I read reviews of, and I was gonna just sit there and watch him eat. Then I was like, ‘Uh, no, I’ve gotta do it’.”

Colby is a professional dancer, something she says changed her life from day one. “I discovered Burlesque in Chicago quite some time ago, years and years ago- I was addicted from the first show,” she says. “There’s something very empowering about Burlesque. I started learning right away, I started performing way too soon! There’s some great video footage to prove that. But it’s all been a really fun journey, even watching old videos, it’s cool to see how much more at ease I am with myself and with my audience. But it’s funny, I have maintained the same lumbering stance since I started. There’s nothing delicate about me on stage, I just throw my guts out there and then I walk away and let people sort out what they saw.”

I have definitely acquired some more impressive tattoos since then but I collect them for the story. I’m not afraid of people judging the work I have on my body, it’s a storyline for myself. I love it when my friends work on me, I love to collect the memories, I cannot have an artist work on me that I don’t feel close with. In her Instagram post, Guper is seen using the stairclimber. Stair workouts have a lot of health benefits.
