She's Found Balance
Hauer opened up about her mental health in an interview with HELLO! Magazine. She revealed that she struggled with anxiety, panic attacks, and stress-induced alopecia. Hauer talked about what she has done to get herself in a better mindset. "I think I'm finding balance. My hair is growing back. I keep checking on it, but it's growing back and it's white. I don't have my eye twitches anymore. If I feel something coming up, or if I've had an intense week I just have to take myself away so I'll have a day that I don't go online where I'm just at home."
She Works With A Coach
Hauer tells HELLO! Magazine that she works with former Strictly pro and mindset coach, Camilla Dallerup to help with her wellbeing. "When I need her, I make a quick phone call and say 'this is what's happening. I need to talk'. It's the small things, chatting and breathing and doing my exercises – not exercises to look different – but meditation, and breathing techniques, these things ease me from the inside."
She Does Workouts She Enjoys
When it comes to working out, Hauer likes to do workouts she enjoys. "The hardest thing for me is to find motivation, which is why you have to find something that suits you," she said to the Daily Mirror. "Exercise doesn't have to be doing squats. It's any movement at all. So whether you turn on your favourite tunes and just dance while you're cleaning the house or start marching on the spot when you're watching telly, it all counts."
She Goes Outside
Hauer revealed to HELLO! Magazine that she and her partner decided to move to a more rural area. She says that she loves to go outside, and this helps with her wellbeing. "We're literally surrounded by cows and sheep. The dogs have space to run. I have a lovely little house, that has a lot of space. I can open the doors and walk outside and I just feel my lungs opening. I have a good balance. It's hard because I work a lot in London, but when I go home, I'm at peace."
She Does Pilates
One thing Hauer does to stay in shape is doing Pilates. She shared some of her favorite exercises and stretches in this video with HELLO! Magazine. Pilates has a lot of benefits. Better Health states, "Pilates is a safe and effective method of rehabilitation and exercise that focuses on muscular balance, improves strength and flexibility."
