She Works Out With a Trainer
Karine regularly exercises. "Sport is an integral part of my daily routine and it was also the case when I was pregnant," she told Healthy Food Near Me. She added that after she had her child, she got the permission of her doctor to exercise. "Then, the idea is not to go in the performance but rather in a maintenance of physical and mental form. The exercises were all co-constructed with my sports coach, Xavier Ritter, who has been following me for years."
She Doesn't Have a Strict Diet
"I am not very strict on the diet, I prefer to have fun and if I make a difference, compensate for it the next day by being a little more reasonable or by playing sports," Karine told Healthy Food Near Me. However she does avoid fast food. "I rather cook organic vegetables. When I go to a restaurant, I try to vary the dishes, being careful not to put on too many pounds," she added to Maxi Mag.
She Meditates
Karine also prioritizes mental health. In her book, she shares meditation suggestions, "to make the wellness approach holistic," she told Healthy Food Near Me. "Mental health is the overall wellness of how you think, regulate your feelings and behave. Sometimes people experience a significant disturbance in this mental functioning. A mental disorder may be present when patterns or changes in thinking, feeling or behaving cause distress or disrupt a person's ability to function," says the Mayo Clinic.
She Needs Quiet Time
Karine has to take time for herself so she can show up for others. "I have a real need to moments of silence so that I can then be available, both for my family and professionally, on the set. I then do as many parents do, I improvise: during the children's naps, when they are at school… These are not necessarily long sessions, ten minutes are enough but to be regular. We can then find 'A place of refuge' that we will have imagined, in which we feel good and where it is possible to relax," she told Healthy Food Near Me.
She Prioritizes Sleep
Karine makes sure to get enough sleep. One of the ways she maintains "a healthy lifestyle" is by getting enough shut eye. "I go to bed early, I avoid night outings," she told Maxi Mag. "Set aside no more than eight hours for sleep. The recommended amount of sleep for a healthy adult is at least seven hours. Most people don't need more than eight hours in bed to be well rested," says the Mayo Clinic. "Go to bed and get up at the same time every day, including weekends. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle."
