1. She Gets Rest
Karol’s career is incredibly busy, but she makes sure to take time out for self-care and rest. “On my free days I try to rest,” she told People en Espanol about how she stays sane despite her busy schedule. If you are trying to get some more rest, consider amping up your sleep. According to the Sleep Foundation, getting enough z’s is a mood booster, promotes heart health, regulates blood sugar, improves mental function, restores your immune system, helps relieve stress, and aids in weight loss.
2. She Does CrossFit
Karol is all about CrossFit, a form of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and focuses on improving strength, endurance, and body composition. However, it can result in injury if not done properly. The involvement of well-educated coaches decreases injury rate. “I do workout circuits. If there is a great gym at the hotel then I'll lift weights, but we usually bring our own elastic bands. My training is more focused on CrossFit,” she explained.
3. She Stays Away From Strict Diets

“I don't like diets that are extremely strict,” Karol confessed to People. She tries to eat a carbohydrate once a day, at lunch time, and loads up on lean protein, veggies, and salad. She avoids consuming too much dairy but eats granola with Greek yogurt twice a week. She also keeps unhealthy sweets at bay. “I don't eat any desserts,” she told People.
4. She Prays

While Karol doesn’t meditate, she prays. “I say, ‘Thank you God for this,' because I do believe a lot in God,” she explained. “I think that everything that happens in my life is a miracle. My spiritual side in life is having my family near me,” she added. “That connection with my family is what gives me the spirituality to stay happy. My relationship with my boyfriend is also very special to me.”
5. She Allows Herself Cheat Days

“You have to have a balance,” she told People. “I have an insulin problem and maintaining a good weight for me is super stressful.” While Karol eats healthy most of the time, she does indulge on occasion. Her favorite cheat meal is French fry pizza. “I don't eat fast food like burgers, but I will eat a nice steak with mash potatoes and veggies,” she told People.
6. She Is Confident
"I'll admit that I am not always 100 percent confident because I'm a woman. I'm a woman and I'm human,” she told ET. “I do have those high peak moments when I feel my best. I feel gorgeous and I love what I do. I also have those days when I don't feel so great…. When I walk out onstage, that's when I feel the most grand and special. The stage is the happiest place in the world."
