Kate Hudson is looking fit on social media, and giving you a selection of looks to suit her Friday/Saturday mood! The 42-year-old actress shared a series of swimsuit photos with her Instagram followers. “It's almost the weekend….🏖 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 OR 6?” she said, referencing each pair. How does the actress and entrepreneur, who recently finished filming Knives Out 2 for Netflix, keep herself so incredibly fit? Read on for 10 of Kate Hudson’s top tips for staying in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Rely On Supplements

Kate promotes taking supplements and even started her own line, INBLOOM. “Really where it started for me was beauty. Magazines would always ask me, you know, 'What are your favorite beauty products? What do you do to keep your skin looking rested?'" she told InStyle. "My answer was always, ‘I know this is boring, but it's an inside out job.’" "Nutritional supplements are meant to complement a healthy diet, not replace it," says the Mayo Clinic. "In certain cases, however, fortified foods and dietary supplements may be useful in providing one or more nutrients. For example, women who are pregnant or hoping to conceive are advised to take prenatal vitamins that contain folic acid. You also may want to consider a nutritional supplement if you don't eat enough healthy foods or don't eat a healthy variety of foods — especially if you have an underlying medical condition."

2. Find Support

"My struggle is not in weight loss," she told the Today Show. "Mine is about staying healthy, trying to stay focused and balanced." This is why she opted to partner with WW, formerly Weight Watchers. "One of the things about this re-imagining of WW is it's not just about weight, it's about wellness. To me, it's all about support.”

3. Work Out Daily

For Kate, exercise is a daily job. "Now that Rani is getting a little bit older and her nap schedule is longer, I've been able to work out at least 30 minutes a day, maybe five times a week,” she revealed to InStyle. “I make sure that I don't go a day without doing something for 30 minutes. I've been doing that since April and I've noticed enormous changes in my body."

4. Dabble in Various Workouts

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - January 25, 2022Robert Kamau/GC Images

Kate mixes up her workouts. "I do everything. I have to switch it up, I get so bored," she told InStyle. "I've been loving the Obé app, they have 20-minute workouts that are really hard and if you do them with the proper form they're really effective. I love my yoga apps, like Glo, and I use Body by Simone and Tracy Anderson's apps too — there's nothing better than her abs workout. I love my Peloton. I love Pilates — that's always been my number one."

5. Exercise for Mental Health

Kate breaks a sweat for her body as much as her mind. “I’ve always felt that wellness is about your quality of life,” Kate told Women's Health. “You need to know what makes you feel good. It’s about doing the things you love, eating the things you want to, exercising and not feeling like you need to [push yourself] for two hours in a hot room. You can just take a nice walk and still be healthy.”

6. Strike a Pose

Kate loves striking a pose....a yoga pose that is. "It's about understanding your own individual likes, not fads," she revealed to SELF. "Anything you do helps. You could sit there and not think of your mantra for your whole practice, but you're still benefiting.” "Research suggests that yoga may," says the NIH:

  • "Help improve general wellness by relieving stress, supporting good health habits, and improving mental/emotional health, sleep, and balance.
  • Relieve low-back pain and neck pain, and possibly pain from tension-type headaches and knee osteoarthritis.
  • Help people who are overweight or obese lose weight." And more.

7. Do Intermittent Fasting

Kate who swears by intermittent fasting. In an interview with Women's Health she revealed that timing her eating helps improve her energy. “It’s not for everyone,” she admitted. During the mornings when she is fasting she will consume just celery juice, coffee, or tea, waiting until 11 or 11:30 a.m. to start solid food. "If we fast for a while, there are certain processes in the body that can relieve inflammation, and it may have other benefits," says Dr. Donald Hensrud, director of the Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Program, said to the Mayo Clinic. However, "It's a slippery slope. I've actually seen malnutrition in people who have taken caloric restrictions too far because they're trying to live longer. Yet it causes malnutrition, which is counterproductive," Dr. Hensrud said.

8. Meditate

“When I [meditate], I can feel the difference right away. I feel myself becoming calmer, more centered and clearer-headed," she wrote in a blog on her Fabletics website. "Meditation also made me realize that there are times when I thought I had a grasp on what was going on with myself internally, then I meditated and found that my body was telling me something different."

9. Do Ab Exercises

6th Annual InStyle Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Kate confessed to Well + Good that she is “an ab [workout] fanatic,” adding “and I hate [doing] them.” Stability ball crunches help keep her midsection tight. “I’ve had a C-section, and I think any woman who has had a C-section knows how hard it is to re-engage that lower part of your abs,” she said. “My C-section was 16 years ago, but if I go a few days without doing abs, my brain has a hard time re-engaging that area.”

10. Workout with Friends

Baby2Baby 10-Year Gala Presented By Paul Mitchell - GalaMichael Kovac/Getty Images

Kate is a big fan of the workout buddy system. “Find a friend that likes to get it and GET IT!” she captioned a recent workout snap with pal Sophie Lopez. "Look for someone with the same goals, schedule, and commitment you have. Someone who makes you feel positive and inspires you to hit the trail or treadmill on a regular basis," says the CDC. "How do you find the right fit? Talk to friends, co-workers, neighbors, people at the gym. Or find a buddy closer to home: What about a hike with your dog, who thinks every walk is the best walk ever? Now quality time is also fitness time. Good move!"

1. This is What Motivates Her

What motivates Kate? “For me, I know that when I'm active, when I'm healthy, when I'm strong, I feel so much better. It never leaves me. I get motivated to do different things, though. One of the things that I find helps a lot of people, number one, is support—like friends, apps, cute clothes. When you look good in something, it does motivate you to say, 'Okay, I'm going to take a walk' or 'I'm going to go for a hike' or 'You know what, I'm going to walk around the block.' The little, tiny things can be really motivating,” she told The Thirty.

2. This is Her Beauty Regimine

"When anyone asks me about my beauty regime, my answer is always sleep, water, and healthy food. For me, that's where it all starts. Beauty really comes from how we treat our bodies and how we honor ourselves," Hudson told Marie Claire.

3. She Worked Out at Home During Quarantine

The Daily Front Row's 5th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards - ArrivalsFrazer Harrison/Getty Images

“But the one thing that did change a lot for me is I got really excited about doing my own fitness—not feeling like I had to go anywhere but actually getting into all the different things that were out there. It was really fun dancing with people on live feeds, and then, I discovered so many different apps,” she told The Thirty. “I go back and forth between a couple of different things. We did just launch our fitness app for Fabletics, and they're doing a great job, but it's brand-new, so I'll talk about other apps as well. I like an app called Obé. What I love about Obé is it's hard. I find that in some apps, it's not a really hard workout. It seems I can get a real workout, especially with the 45-minute ones.”

4. This is Why She Started Her Own Supplement Line

An Evening Honoring Christian Marclay: Sound Stories at LACMA, Co-Hosted by LACMA's Michael Govan and Snap Inc.'s Evan Spiegel.Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images

She created her own supplement company, called INBLOOM. “I hate pills,” Hudson told ELLE.com. “And I actually like when things absorb quicker, so I created powders." Why? “I've been asked to do a lot of beauty [in my career], whether it be makeup or skincare, and I love all of it, but I'm a big believer in beauty being an inside-out experience,” she told the website. “And so I thought, what better way than to start with a system that I could create, that could support health and nutrition and wellness. I wanted to create an easy, accessible, premium program so that you're getting top ingredients, that there are no synthetics. I wanted everything to be very pure and very little filler.”

5. She Makes Me Time

1. She Uses A Variety Of Products

Kate-HudsonKate Hudson/Instagram

When it comes to skincare, Hudson believes in using a variety of different products. “Everything for me has always been about customizing my experience,” she tells Glamour. “I don’t just use one product. I use so many different products, and every day my skin is doing something different, whether it’s environmentally or hormonal. I try things all the time, I don’t know why I’m not a beauty blogger. I love using different products, I also think our skin needs different things. One skin-care routine, I don’t buy into it. That’s why I’ve never done a line myself. I would get bored of it.”

2. She Only Washes Her Face At Night

Valentino Haute Couture Fall/Winter 22/23 - ArrivalsDaniele Venturelli/Getty Images

Hudson tells Glamour that she only washes her face once a day. She also says that she opts to do so at night. “My routine in the morning is easy. I don’t wash my face unless I had a night out that was a little more alcohol-heavy than I had hoped. I’ll use Egyptian Magic if I have any eye-makeup residue, anything that is sticky. But other than that, I don’t ever wash my face in the morning. I wash my face very thoroughly at night, and then I let my face oils actually hang out. I don’t want to strip my face too much.”

3. She Uses Face Masks

Another part of Hudson’s skincare routine is using face masks. “I formulated my mask so that I could use it at least three times a week,” she tells Glamour. “I love my masks so much, and I wanted one that I could customize, that I could make it heavier or something light. I find that when I’m working, I need masks more. I want to be able to apply it without having it be a once a week thing. If I’m on a set, my skin gets so tired, and it’s good to have something that can liven up your skin. So in that case, I would do a thinner version of my mask for three to five minutes.”

4. She Stays Hydrated First Thing In The Morning

2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - ArrivalsLionel Hahn/Getty Images

Hudson broke down her daily routine and diet to Harper’s Bazaar. She says that she likes to start her day off by drinking water and celery juice. "First thing I do when I wake up is I stare at the wall and I think to myself, 'Am I going to get up now? Or am I going to get up 50-minutes from now? Or am I just going to go back to sleep?' And then I drink water. I do not eat first thing in the morning. The first thing I do in the morning is I have celery juice. And if anybody does celery juice on an empty stomach they know why—cause it's a joyous morning activity."

5. She Challenges Herself

6th Annual InStyle Awards - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/WireImage

Hudson makes sure to push herself when it comes to fitness. She says that she always wants to feel like she has accomplished something. "I'm definitely challenging myself in new ways, which I need," she tells People. "I like to be able to set new goals to see what I can accomplish, and I love how flexible and strong I feel after a good workout, especially doing Pilates, which never gets easier."

From skincare rituals to core-sculpting workouts, De Bortoli’s daily habits make it clear that staying in shape is about more than just hitting the gym. Whether she’s cooking up homemade meals, breaking a sweat, or showing off a fresh new look, she’s all about feeling her best from the inside out. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

De Bortoli has impressive skin. Naturally, she takes care of it on a regular basis. De Bortoli shared this video on Instagram sharing her skincare routine. She captioned it, “The secret to perfect skin? Here is my step by step routine! ✨💦🎀 What product can you absolutely not live without?”

She Changed Her Hair Color

De Bortoli recently changed her hair color. She explained why in the caption of this Instagram post. “The good thing about this color is that it does not require frequent touch-ups and it easily adapts to natural hair growth, it is versatile and can enhance any body and face shape 🧡for those who are tired of blonde or brown, bronde is the solution to change harmony without distortion 🤍for those who have a fair complexion, the most golden tone is recommended 🤎 for the dark complexion, on the other hand, more ash brown ❤️ 🔥what can I say... For me the bronde conquered, and what do you think?”

She Cooks

De Bortoli likes to cook, and she was taught to do so by her grandmother. She shared this video on Instagram of herself and her grandmother cooking together. De Bortoli captioned it, “Grandparents are wealth in society, my grandmother loves to cook and do it with her since I was a child. She has always inspired my creativity, patience, discipline and order but above all traditions, history, and the concreteness of nature's gifts. The greatest teaching my grandparents passed on to me is respect for people, the environment, animals and the kitchen... Today together we made Carnival Frittelle, an easy, quick dessert that adults and kids love. The ingredients are few and simple (but of high quality) and, trust me, the result is guaranteed: nice round but above all soft and tasty.”

She Works Her Abs

De Bortoli shared this video of herself working out on Instagram. In it, she is seen doing core exercises like sit-ups. Core exercises are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes. Strong core muscles help athletes, such as runners. That's because weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance and injuries.”

She Works Out With Others

In the previous Instagram video, De Bortoli is seen working out with a friend. Better Health says that this has a lot of benefits. “You’re less likely to get bored when you have a workout buddy, especially a friend. While you’re catching up, having a laugh, encouraging each other, you’re also getting healthier. It’s a win-win. Chatting to a friend during exercise and breaks can help time pass quickly too. You’ll have more options as well, such as a game of tennis or squash.”

While promoting her book, Truly Simple with EatingWell, she revealed that her diet is less strict. “I've gotten to a point in my life where not everything has to be so perfect anymore,” Cavallari said. “I used to be so strict about what I was putting in my body. I'm still very healthy and very conscious of it, but I've gotten a little bit more lax. True Roots and True Comfort had nothing ‘white’ in them: no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. But in Truly Simple, I bend a little bit in a few of the recipes, which really reflects where I am in my life and my new way of eating. Everything is a little bit more relaxed around here now.’

She Loves Cauliflower

Cavallari tells EatingWell that she loves making foods with cauliflower. “I love cauliflower because I think it's very versatile, and there's actually a Sweet Harissa Cauliflower recipe in Truly Simple that's my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet. If you've ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. There's this sweet harissa dressing that's on it, and there's little chopped-up dates in it, so it has that nice balance between sweet and savory. It's the absolute best.”

She Loves Salad

Cavallari likes to make salads. She shared one of her favorite recipes with EatingWell. “This salad has a few of my favorite things: salmon (which has omega-3s and is so, so good for you), bacon (no explanation needed), avocado (healthy fats), and spicy tomatillo ranch dressing (just yum). Together, they create culinary heaven. If you aren't familiar with tomatillos, they're similar to tomatoes but are slightly less sweet and are perfect when drenched in ranch.”

She Works With A Trainer

Cavallari tells Us Weekly that a lot of her gym sessions are with her personal trainer. “He kicks my ass,” she says. “He pushes me really hard. He has me actually lifting really heavy weight, the heaviest weight I’ve ever lifted in my entire life. I feel the best I ever have. I feel like I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.”

She Shared Her Eye Makeup Trick

Cavallari shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Us Weekly. She says that consistency is one of her biggest priorities. “My goal is sort of, right now, just to maintain the muscle that I have,” she says. “I’m really petite. I have no hips. I’m just small. And so if I don’t work out for like a week or two, I feel like all my muscle goes away. So it is about consistency for me.”

Rebeca Andrade is an Olympic gymnast. She is the most decorated Olympic athlete from Brazil, having won two gold medals, three silvers, and a bronze. Andrade recently shared some highlights of her native Brazil on Instagram. In some of them, she posed in a swimsuit while wading. Andrade captioned the post, “SC-&-RS🏕️🌅❤️ Being free is a paradox. It's committing to the life you want, without running away from the work that it entails. It's building freedom every day, with conscious choices and, mainly, with the acceptance that freedom is not the absence of limits, but the autonomy to know which ones are worth it and which ones are not. Being free is being willing to carry the weight of your own life and still find it funny.”

She Swims

In her Instagram post, Andrade is seen swimming. The Cleveland Clinic says that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming takes much less of a toll on your body than, say, running or riding a bike. That’s because exercising in water lessens the impact of your body weight on your joints.”

She Does Gymnastics

Gymnastics is the main way Andrade stays in shape. British Gymnastics states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “When you take part in gymnastics, or any sport for that matter, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These also help to trigger a positive feeling in the body which can have a positive impact on your happiness and mental wellbeing. This can help to combat feelings of anxiety and depression.”

She Prioritizes Safety

Andrade talked about her training approach in an interview with the Olympics website. She says that she and her coach prioritize her safety, and that she will skip floor sessions if she isn’t able to do it. "I talk a lot with my coach and we trust in each other. We always try to be really safe, and do floor in the correct moments. He believes in me. I'm never going to lie to not do it. So, when I really tell him that I can't do it, it's because I cannot and he always respects that.”

She Sets Goals

In her Olympics website interview, Andrade talked about her commitment and goal setting. Specifically, she talked about her goal to make the Olympic team. “The other [goal], which is the main one, is for us to qualify as a team,” Andrade said. “I think it will be very important for me, for my team, and the focus is on that, whatever happens there, the result is a consequence of our work, of our commitment. But I really want to be there with my team and be happy and healthy.”

She Cooks

Andrade makes sure to eat healthy. She also likes to cook a lot of her own meals. She shared some of her favorite things to make in an interview with NPR. “There was one that was with potatoes and cheese, chicken. There’s cake. There’s cookies. A lot of things.”
