She Gets Advice From Experts

Bernardo likes to get fitness and exercises from experts, and apply them to her workout routine. In this video on her YouTube channel, she asked for advice from three fitness experts, and then tried it out for herself on three different days. "I asked three fitness experts to share with us their knowledge," she explains. "For three days, I have decided to just follow their workout advice."

She Works Out Her Abs

In that same YouTube video, Bernardo is seen doing three different ab workouts. "We're going to be doing different ab workouts each day," she explained. On day 1, Bernardo is seen doing exercises on a Pilates reformer, like a panther plank and pike combo and mermaid twists. On day 2, she does a lot of lower ab workouts, like bicycles, flutter kicks, and reverse crunches. On day 3, Bernardo does ab workouts with dumbbells, like jack knives and oblique crushers.

She Works Out At Home

When the pandemic hit, gyms were forced to close, and people were forced to work out at home, Bernardo included. However, this wasn't a hindrance to her. She revealed on this Instagram post, that she did a lot of at-home workouts and virtual classes during lockdown. "Ever since the lockdown began, I swore to myself that I will work out at least 3x a week to keep my body healthy (and to offset all those junk I eat) especially at a time like this. Thanks to online and zoom workout classes, I actually ended up working out almost every day!"

She Gradually Increases Her Workout's Length

Working out at home and every day can be difficult, but Bernardo has a solution. In the same Instagram post, she revealed her secret to doing so was doing a workout for a certain amount of time, then gradually increasing the time as she went on. "Start with 15mins per day first and adjust it from there based on what your body can handle!"

She's All About Balance

When it comes to her diet and eating healthy, Bernardo tells Preview.ph that she believes in balance, and gives herself cheat days. "When I say eating the right food, it doesn't mean it's not delicious. It's still possible. My trainer said it's good to reward yourself twice a week so you don't get deprived."
