1. She Learned About Health From Her Parents
Austin is the daughter of fitness legend Denise Austin, and tennis player, Jeff Austin. She opened up about her childhood to Yahoo Life. "A lot of her [Denise’s] tapes are like, 'Lose the last 10 pounds,' and they are about weight loss as well. But during my childhood and growing up, there was nothing about weight loss and the numbers on a scale or anything like that. I think that's because I was an athlete. My dad was a professional tennis player, so it was always about working out to get stronger and training for something, it was never about the aesthetic. I wasn't working out or running because I wanted abs and I wanted to lose weight or I wanted to drop so many inches on my waistline."
2. She Walks

Austin has her own blog, where she reveals her wellness secrets. In this post, she says that she likes to go on walks, especially on days where she’s not working out as much. “Go for a walk, first thing in the morning! I love getting fresh air right when I wake up. It gets the blood flowing, oxygen pumping! Since I would normally workout first thing in the morning, on rest days, just exposing yourself to natural light first thing in the morning helps wake your body and mind up naturally.”
3. She Believes In Discipline

Austin doesn’t believe in motivation, rather she believes in discipline. She explains why to E! News. "You don't always wake up with motivation," she says. "I'm not motivated to work out, it's actually discipline. It should be a habit and ingrained in your schedule. Because you're not always going to be motivated. Just tell yourself you're going to work out for 10 minutes, you're going to start to work out and feel better. You're going to keep going and love the way your body feels.”
4. She Enjoys Working Out
For Austin, working out isn’t about losing weight. She tells E! News, "I personally believe that you work out to feel your best self. Working out truly makes you feel better, more confident, more productive and accomplished. It's also what makes my mom and I so positive. It can really switch your mindset and perspective."
5. She Uses A Personal Massager
In her blog post, Austin opened up about what she does on her rest days. She says that she loves to use a massager. “One of my favorite things to do on rest days is to use my Wahl Cordless Deep Tissue Percussion Massager. It is literally LIFE CHANGING! It provides all-around and targeted muscle relief, even deep down, to speed up your healing or fitness recovery. Percussion is the ultimate massage experience providing fast comfort by disrupting pain signals and increasing local blood circulation and blocking neurotransmitters and may help decrease inflammation and increase oxytocin levels; all of which allow muscles to relax, reducing feelings of tiredness and pain!”
