1. She Eats Clean
Perry told People that she enjoys a healthy diet. Back when preparing for her Super Bowl performance, for example, Perry said her diet included light soups, proteins, and whole grains. "Protein is important because it provides the amino acids your body needs to build and repair muscle," says the Mayo Clinic. "Most research suggests very active people should eat 1.2 to 2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. That means a 150-pound person should eat 82 to 136 grams each day. People who aren't active should eat less protein. Aim for .8 grams per kilogram of body weight each day."
2. She Works Out Five Days A Week

Perry is one of many celebrity clients of trainer Harley Pasternak, and the two work out regularly togehter. "Katy aims to exercise five days a week, doing short, high-intensity workouts, including lunges and hip thrusts," Pasternak tells the Belfast Telegraph. "These tone, as well as boost her metabolism, and can be done anywhere."
3. She Loves Apple Cider Vinegar

Perry is a big fan of drinking apple cider vinegar, and she’s had this habit for a while. “My mother made me drink it every day, but now it’s a staple for me,” she said to Prevention. "Many people love apple cider vinegar as a conditioning rinse for your hair," Julieanna Hever, MS, RD, CPT, a plant-based dietitian and author of The Vegiterranean Diet and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Plant-Based Nutrition, tells our sister site Eat This, Not That!. "Simply pour it over your hair in the shower after shampooing and it is touted for enhancing shine and cleaning off built-up product."
4. She Jumps Rope

Perry is a big fan of jumping rope, and says that it is a regular workout for her. She tells Us Weekly, "I like to jump rope! I can do the cross-over and double jumps." Jumping rope is a full-body cardio exercise that has many great benefits and is the perfect workout 'filler.' 5. She Finds Healthy Alternatives To Her Favorite Junk Foods

Perry admits to Us Weekly that she “has a salt tooth," and craves unhealthy food at times. However, with the help with her trainer, Harley Pasternak, Perry finds healthier ways to enjoy her favorite cravings. “We find a healthier option,” she says to Us Weekly. "Toasted whole-grain bread crackers, such as rye Melba toast, are good sources of fiber and complex carbohydrates. Five pieces of Melba toast have about 97 calories," says the Mayo Clinic.
