1. She Loves Apple Cider Vinegar
Perry said to Prevention.com that she loves to drink apple cider vinegar everyday, and that her mother got her into this. She says, “My mother made me drink it every day, but now it’s a staple for me.” Perry also says that her fiance, actor Orlando Bloom, is also a fan of apple cider vinegar, and he had it in his car on their first date. “He had his water in his car and it had apple cider vinegar in it!”
2. She Finds Healthy Alternatives to Her Favorite Junk Foods

Perry tells Us Weekly that she “has a salt tooth,” and loves junk food. However, Perry finds healthy alternatives to her favorite unhealthy cravings, with the help of her trainer, Harley Pasternak. “We find a healthy version,” Pasternak says. For example, when the singer wants Mexican food, Pasternak recommends she make quesadillas with turkey, black beans, and low-fat cheese.
3. She Eats Healthy on The Road

It can be difficult for singers to eat healthy while touring and on the road, but Perry makes it work. “I still keep my routine,” she tells UsWeekly. She says her meals on the road have a lot of protein and fiber. She says that her go-to breakfast is “Egg whites with ham, tomatoes, onion and cheese.”
4. She Jumps Rope

Perry says to UsWeekly that she likes to keep her workouts fun, like jumping rope. “I like to jump rope,” she says. “I can do the cross over and double jumps.”
5. She Does High-Intensity Workouts

Perry’s trainer, Harley Pasternak, says that he and the singer do a lot of high-intensity workouts. "Katy aims to exercise five days a week, doing short, high-intensity workouts, including lunges and hip thrusts," Pasternak says to POPSugar.com. "These tone, as well as boost her metabolism, and can be done anywhere."
6. She Does Yoga
Perry is a fan of yoga, specifically hot yoga, saying that it helps with both her body and mind. “I have had a dance with depression, and hot yoga helps clear it all out,” the singer says to Prevention.com. “If you have a healthy body, it helps you have a healthy mind.”
7. She Meditates

Perry says to Prevention.com that she loves meditation, specifically transcendental meditation, and that it has helped with her music. “It clears my head completely,” she says. “And it ignites something in my brain. I get some of my best creative ideas when I’m TM’ing.” Perry reveals that she and her crew practice transcendental meditation with a teacher while touring. “For me, TM has been anxiety-reducing, depression-reducing, great for jet lag, hangovers, mood swings. Anytime I’m in a funky mood, I’m like, ‘give me 20 minutes.’”
