1

Balanced Lifestyle

Kaushik lives a healthy lifestyle with no restrictions, just sensible choices. "I eat very healthy food. Sometimes I do eat unhealthy, but later I balance it out," she says. "I don't smoke or booze. I go to the spa and travel whenever I get time. I see to it I don't eat after 7pm in the evening unless it's very important."

2

Eggs and Milk For Breakfast

Kaushik enjoys juice, eggs, and milk for breakfast. Grass-fed cows have been shown to make healthier milk. "A recent national study found that cows fed a diet of totally organic grass and legumes produced milk with elevated levels of omega-3 and CLA, which provides a markedly healthier balance of fatty acids," says the University of Minnesota.

3

Not a Gym Fan

Kaushik prefers at-home workouts. "I am not a gym person and it becomes very difficult to hit the gym everyday when you are busy shooting," she says. "In my daily routine, I practice yoga. If I don't fit into my bikini, I come to know that I have bloated and start working out vigorously on my body."

4

Salad and Vegetables

Kaushik likes to keep her dinner light, opting for salads and grilled vegetables. "Fruits and vegetables are major sources of several nutrients that are strongly linked to good health, particularly the health of the heart and blood vessels: potassium, magnesium, fiber, and polyphenols [antioxidant plant compounds]," says Dr. Daniel Wang, a member of the Faculty of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital.

5

She's a Foodie

Kaushik is passionate about food and cooking. "I love to cook and eat," she says. "There is a very wrong assumption that food makes you fat, no it's the intake of wrong food that makes you fat. So always follow a proper diet plan."
