Kayla Itsines is a personal trainer and successful fitness influencer. She’s currently expecting her first child, and recently asked her followers on Instagram what they wanted to know about her journey. In a recent post, Itsines posed in the water in a bikini. She captioned it, “Question. What parts of my post pregnancy journey do you want to see? Be honest, no wrong answers! Do you want me to just go back to posting my usual training routine? Do you want to see my recovery? Do you want me to share the foods I am eating? Let me know. Also, for the people who are not even thinking about pregnancy right now, I think my journey is still interesting in a different way. My birth will be a cesarean, so this means an actual surgery. Now why is this interesting for you? .. because it’s also content you can use if you are injured, a beginner, never worked out before or returning to fitness after a while. The workouts (when appropriate and cleared by my doctor) will be lower intensity and ill slowly be building back up to how I used to train! I think this is an awesome journey to all go through together - post pregnant or not.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kayla Itsines stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Believes In Balance

Itsines believes in eating a healthy diet. However, she also believes in eating some indulgences and having a balance. "My philosophy on food is really simple,” she tells Greek City Times. “I believe in having a healthy balanced diet, the food you eat should make you feel good, it shouldn't feel like a chore to make it or eat it, and you should eat the foods you enjoy.”

2. She Works Out Reguarly

Itsines revealed her workout routine to Vogue. She says that she works out on a regular basis. “My BBG program consists of three resistance workouts per week which I normally schedule on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. With my current schedule, working out at 7:30pm at night has been working best for me, as Arna has gone to sleep and my family is around to watch over her, so I know I can get 28-minutes in without being interrupted. I’ve also been aiming for four to five LISS (low-intensity steady state cardio) sessions per week which I’ll often do first thing in the morning on my treadmill at home before Arna wakes up."

3. She Eats Healthy

Itsines revealed her typical meals to Vogue, and she eats pretty healthy. “Breakfast - two pieces of toast with olive oil, eggs (if I feel like them), tomato, olives, basil, roast capsicum and a Turkish coffee. Snack - seasonal fruit or a Greek biscuit that my Yiayia (grandma) makes. Lunch - some sort of protein with salad and rice or sushi. Snack - coffee and anything I can find that’s easy and fast like crackers with tomato and tuna or veggie sticks with homemade hummus. Dinner - meat with salad and some sort of bread, rice or pasta. Drinks - lots of water and sometimes I’ll have a herbal tea before bed.”

4. She Tries New Workouts

When it comes to workouts, Itsines tells Vogue that she is open to all of them. “Fitness is such a big part of my life and I truly love what I do, so I don't think there is any exercise that I wouldn't try,” she says. “I think as women, we don't realise how strong we really are and sometimes trying something new is a great way to build confidence, even if you don’t nail it the first time round.”

5. She Does Workouts She Hates

Itsines tells Vogue that she makes sure to keep her workouts varied. She admits that she doesn’t like everything she does, but is willing to do them anyway. “Like anybody, there are some exercises that I don’t love,” she says. “But I understand how they benefit my body and workout, so I’ll push through instead of avoiding them.”

Kayla Nicole is walking down the catwalk in her swimsuit. In a recent social media post the ex-girlfriend of NFL star Travis Kelcie (aka Taylor Swift’s rumored boyfriend) flaunts her amazingly fit figure in a bathing suit on the runway of a fashion show. “Thank you @activelyblack for having lil ol me walk in your #NYFW show. It’s an honor to be apart of this proudly black community that’s really making its mark in the fitness/apparel space. I truly admire your ethos, inclusivity, and growth over the years. BTW - I haven’t been on a runway in AGES. Years. Decades. 😂 So it felt really good to celebrate this version of my body. We’ve been through the ringer together and she hasn’t failed me yet,” she captioned the Instagram post. How does the model maintain her fit figure? Celebwell rounded up some of her top lifestyle habits.

1. She Does Detoxes

Kayla believes in doing a detox every now and then. In 2021 she revealed that she was participating in a 15-day detox, later claiming her abs were the result of the program. “Hello detox abs, nice to meet you,” she captioned the photo. “Proud of myself for having a goal and sticking to it.”

2. She Believes “Strong Is Sexy”

Kayla is part of the body positivity movement and believes that strong is sexier than skinny. When she launched her fitness brand in 2020, it followed that belief. Her Instagram bio used to read: “I believe strong is sexy, so I made a brand for it,” with a link to her professional fitness page @strongissexy.

3. She Golfs

Kayla is also an avid golfer. A comprehensive review published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that golf's health benefits are extensive, including mind, body, and even lifespan. Benefits include improved longevity, decreased risk of developing heart disease or suffering a stroke, good mental health, and improved strength and balance.

4. She Does Yoga

Kayla loves yoga. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

5. She Works Out Hard

Kayla spends a lot of time in the gym and her workouts are no joke. She recently shared one of her circuit. “My trainer @thebank_fitcamp and I have been making some daily deposits y’all. 🤭 And the proof is in the gains. Knock out this quad/glute/ab circuit 3-4 times, 10-15 reps each exercise. And let me know if you want to cuss somebody out at the end too! P.S. We’re dropping a new training program next month - so more fire work outs like this soon come,” she captioned the post.

In a new social media post the fitness founder flaunts her amazing figure in a flat belly baring exercise set while exercising. “Full-body workouts are really the cheat code, babe! Yoga

During an Alo Moves retreat in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Kayla showed off her yoga pose. “t’s always such a treat getting to work out with their incredible instructors in real life - rather than from the training app like I usually do at home. Super grateful for trips like these that leave you feeling grounded, centered and refreshed,” she captioned the post.

Running and Jogging

Running, or rather “jogging,” is part of Kayla’s routine. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

Golf

Kayla loves golf. “Please feel free to save this under ‘athletic girls I follow.’ Thank you so much. 🤭🏌🏽♀️My kinda Wednesday, truly,” she captioned a post. Golf offers lots of benefits per the British Journal of Sports Medicine. Kayla does Pilates. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Strength Trains

Kayla strength trains, which she does in her recent post. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Sara Sampaio, the Portuguese model, is already a Victoria's Secret Angel and the face of Michael Kors' fragrance Gorgeous, and now she has a new achievement: 8 million followers on Instagram. She celebrated with a swimsuit video of her drawing the number in the sand with her finger. “8 Million of you!!! Thank you for coming on this journey with me! ❤️,” she captioned it. 1. This is Her Exercise Routine

Her exercise routine “...during quarantine was zero, but I usually work out at the DogPound. I’ve built a gym in my house, with a Peloton and everything and free weights but it’s so hard to get the willpower to work out when I’m by myself. A personal trainer just helps me get…off the couch,” she told Elle.

2. She Likes Small Movements That Produce Big Results

“I’ve been doing a lot of SLT," a workout that promises to "strengthen (your core), lengthen (your limits) and tone (your body)," according to the founders, hence the initials. "It’s like a really intense Pilates with a machine. I’ve noticed with my body that small movements have done more for my body than the boot camps. My body moves better when it’s very focused on small movements that elongate your body and your muscles,” she told the Cut.

3. This is Her Take on Eating

“I’m a big believer in not doing crazy diets and not to stop eating what makes you happy or what you like. It’s all about balance. If you’ve had a long day and you really want a burger, just have that burger or pizza and maybe for lunch the next day you have fish with vegetables or salad with chicken,” she told the Cut.

4. Here’s How She Deals With Stress

“I’m still trying to figure this out. I suffer from a lot of anxiety and depression, I’m on medication which really helps but there’s still some anxiety. For me, what works the best is learning when I need my own space and my own time and if I just need to spend the whole day watching TV, that’s what I’m going to do. Putting those kinds of needs in front of constantly having to do something because if you’re not, you’re not working hard enough. Baths really help and sometimes it really is just sitting in front of the TV eating a bag of popcorn or just sleeping,” she told Elle.

5. She Has Learned to Love Her Body

She has learned to love her body. “I really learned to take my body for what it is; love it if I put on weight, love it if I lose weight - we’re all human beings, we fluctuate but I used to be really hard on myself. It’s one of those things when you’re in your formative years, you really take it personally,” she told Elle, “but now I’m like, I’ve put on weight this quarantine and my” chest “grew and I’m like this is great!”

1. Exercise Is Therapeutic for Her

Lauren, who famously escaped the Westboro Bible Baptist Church, which she grew up in, maintains that exercise is healing for her. “It was very therapeutic,” she told Fox News. “There were times in my life where I experienced a lot of anxiety and depression. For me, it was an amazing outlet. … I got my confidence from fitness and it’s really empowering. … As a nurse, I saw people at the bedside needing heart transplants, open-heart surgery. I really wanted to get on the preventative side of health care. And I just love empowering others.”

2. She Transformed Her Body in 2014

Lauren’s initial transformation happened in 2014 over a 14 week period. “I signed up for my first WBFF (World Beauty Fitness & Fashion) show and trained my ass off - literally. Remember, competition prep is not the same as normal training. I was able to cut through all my excess fat, which revealed the muscle definition I had underneath. I went from 135+ lbs to about 122 lbs,” she says on her website. “Since then, I've worked to build more muscle mass in all the ‘right’ places, becoming stronger, healthier, and happier in the process. The booty and legs you see now are not genetic blessings or surgical projects, they’re the product of hard work. I see girls on social media time and time again calling themselves fitness models, fit chicks, etc… when in reality, most of them were blessed at birth when they won the genetic lottery.”

3. She Follows an 80/20 Eating Plan

The,80/20,Rule,On,Brown,EnvelopeShutterstock

Lauren eats healthy most of the time. “I don't diet - I live an 80/20 lifestyle. Healthy eating 80% of the time and indulge in more fun foods the other 20%. I eat 4-5 meals a day anywhere from 1600-2400 cal depending on my training levels & body goals. Starvation & crash diets are not a solution,” she wrote on Facebook.

4. Her Workouts Are Intense

Lauren’s workouts are intense. She does a lot of strength and weight training exercises, similar to body building.

5. She Hikes

When she isn’t in the gym, you can find Lauren on long walks and hikes with her family. She regularly shares photos on social media of their expeditions. “Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between,” says the National Parks Service.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
