She Snorkels

Kayla spends a lot of time exploring the ocean with her snorkel on. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

She Surfs

Kayla spends a lot of time on her surfboard. According to the Australian government's Better Health, surfing provides many health benefits including cardiovascular fitness from paddling, shoulder and back strength, which also strengthen from the paddling, and leg and core strength. "Once you're standing up on the board, strong legs and a strong core will keep you up," they says.

She Does Outdoor Workouts

Kayla exercises on a regular basis, and loves doing her workouts outdoors. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans

She Hikes

Kayla loves hiking. "Hawaii has my heart," she captioned this photo from one of her hikes. "Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between," says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.

She Drinks Coffee

You can often Kayla getting her daily jolt from a cup of java, which can be evidenced in her latest social media post. Science continues to prove that drinking coffee is great for your health. In fact, a new 2022 study published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology found that drinking two to three cups a day of most types of coffee – especially a mild to moderate intake of ground, instant, and decaffeinated coffee – may protect you from cardiovascular disease and an early death.
