Read on to see 7 ways Kelly Gale stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Mixes Up Her Workout Routine

Kelly maintains variety when it comes to exercise. “Usually on my days off, and sometimes before going to set – I end up heading to pilates, boxing or jump rope and when that gets boring, I go rock climbing with friends or find some other activity we can tackle,” she told V Magazine. How often does she break a sweat? She adds to Grazia that she works out “for a few hours” a day and does “a lot” of walking.

2. She Eats Clean and Organic

When it comes to eating Kelly’s diet “generally consists of fresh, organic produce (all veggies, nuts, seafood, occasional eggs and lots of raw vegan dark chocolate) and superfoods everyday such as chlorella and spirulina,” she explained V Magazine. “If I ever need an immune booster I have tons of ginger, tumeric and baobab,” she said. Per Kelly, it “takes a while to get used to healthier foods if you’re used to eating crap, or if you have been brought up eating a certain kind of way.” She maintains that healthy eating tastes good. “To me, almost everything clean and healthy taste good and you can always play around and make it taste even better.”

3. She Doesn’t Count Calories or Weigh Herself

Kelly doesn’t keep track of a few numbers. “When it comes to both diet and exercise, I do have a few rules to keep my mind sane,” she told V. “One of which is not counting calories or weighing myself, it’s too easy to go crazy when you focus on numbers and if you are sticking to healthy foods and doing your utmost with exercising, there really is no reason to count numbers anyways.”

4. She Eats to Nourish

Revolve's Second Annual #REVOLVEawardsGabe Ginsberg/Getty Images

Kelly refuses to use the words “cheat meal” and views food as fuel. “It makes the meal seem ‘bad’ somehow, or like something you shouldn’t be having. I only eat foods that nourish my body, other foods I don’t even crave – but I do eat nourishing versions of the unhealthy stuff,” she told V. “Nice cream, which is ice cream made from bananas, chocolate that’s sweetened with coconut nectar, nut butters, popcorn etc. I just don’t believe that to be cheating, my body and soul needs it so there is no cheating. I guess the only cheat for me is an occasional night out drinking, which happens a few times a year.”

5. She Drinks Green Juice

Kelly drinks her nutrients. “I have a green juice in the morning – a big one – with kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, two lemons and lots of ginger,” she told Grazia.

6. She Is Selective with Sugar

Kelly avoids white sugar. “I also have a hard rule against eating any cane sugar,” she told V. “My mom is a doctor and cancer researcher, and has spoken to me too many times about the harm sugar has on one’s health for me to not completely cut it out.”

7. She Does Yoga

Kelly is all about her yoga practice and also meditates for her mental health. “I do wish more schools taught children at a younger age about the importance of physical activity for mental health. Talking more about it and setting up meditation classes at schools would make a tremendous amount of difference. I imagine such practices as a part of the regular curriculum would also greatly affect things like their school work and even making the overall environment a more friendly place with less bullying. Mental health issues are very real and can often times start at a young age,” she told V.

Warner Bros. Premiere Of "The Suicide Squad" - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Gale tells Vogue that she likes to make a certain drink to boost her immune system. “My go-to drink in the winter to fight colds and flus is about 3.4 ounces of water mixed with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, lots of cayenne pepper and cinnamon, one lemon, and 1 teaspoon of raw honey. I make it the night before, and drink it first thing every morning on an empty stomach. On top of strengthening your immune system, this concoction also wakes you up, giving you lots of energy, and boosts your metabolism. It’s my power drink!”

3. She Keeps Her Skin Moisturized

Gale has amazing skin. She tells Vogue that one of her secrets is keeping it moisturized. “My skin gets really dry in the cold, so to keep it soft and hydrated, I spread avocado oil all over my body every day after I shower. I find it works even better than coconut oil! For my lips, which also get very dry, I use Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour cream.”

4. She Works Out Her Core

Swedish model, Kelly Gale, is recognized through her work with big names in the industry like Sports Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret. Showing off her poolside fashion, she said “slow mornings by the pool☀️🌴,” on a series of photos on Instagram. Here’s how Kelly stays in such great shape.

She Eats Healthy

She focuses on making healthy choices. “I eat very healthy all year round,” Kelly said to Vogue referring to her diet leading up to the 2017 Victoria's Secret show. “Cooking healthy, nutritious and delicious meals is one of my biggest passions so eating “healthy” for me isn’t 'eating healthy', it's just eating.” She continues on, saying “I’ve never actually known anything other than nutritious foods. I’ve grown up with a mother who is a doctor, dentist and cancer researcher who also happens to be an amazing cook. While I was growing up she always made me and my brothers healthy meals similar to what I eat today.”

She Cracks Down

Healthy breakfastShe Eats HealthyKelly Gale/Instagram

When she needs to, she becomes strict with her diet. “Four weeks before the show I like to kick it in high gear, which for me means cutting out sodium. I try to stay away from all kinds of sugars except for the sugars I get from the berries in my breakfast and coconut sugar from the occasional raw vegan chocolate bar that I eat,” she said to Vogue.

She Stays Hydrated

She stays hydrated, beginning her day with a concoction before she exercises. The “morning tonic is cold water mixed with 2 tablespoons [of] apple cider vinegar, juice of 1 lemon, cayenne and cinnamon. Then I’ll go for my workout,” she said to Vogue. “After that I’ll have my daily green juice as well with some fresh berries for breakfast.”

She Focuses On Protein

Eggs on toast. She Focuses On ProteinKelly Gale/Instagram

She prioritizes getting plenty of protein into her diet. “My lunch and dinner meals before the show include lots of vegetables and lean protein such as shrimps, scallops, egg whites, turkey breast and white fish,” she said to Vogue. “Dinner might be raw vegan Pad Thai. I make a great oil free cauliflower stir fry as well.” According to Piedmont, there are quite a few reasons why you should prioritize factoring enough protein into your diet, including digestion. “About half the dietary protein you consume each day is used to make enzymes, which aid in digesting food and making new cells and body chemicals.”

She Prioritizes Mental and Physical Health

Both mental and physical health is important to her. “Resistance bands, gliders, ankle weights and jump rope. Using the jump rope for cardio intervals during a session of pilates is my favourite,” she said to Vogue. She also takes the time needed to improve her mental well being. “I meditate every morning, every evening and basically any time of the day when I feel like I need it. If I’m out walking I might do a 30 minute walking meditation.”

1. She’s Recovering From A Concussion

shutterstock 2120769497

In 2019, Foley got a concussion. She opened up about her recovery on the Concussion Foundation website. “The back of my head is still extremely sensitive to touch. Even when I'm trying to go to sleep, it hurts to put my head on the pillow, so I have to readjust a lot to find a way for my head to be comfortable. Also, every time I've been in the car, I have not let my head even touch the headrest, just in case we hit a bump or hit the brakes a little too hard. I just cannot risk my head even being slightly hit. I'm scarred from headrests, literally.”

2. She Pushed Herself

Foley is pushing herself out of her comfort zone. She talked about this in this 2022 wrapped post on her Instagram. “I stepped out of my comfort zone and got out of the house more… For a while I wouldn’t leave my house for weeks at a time, so this was a big accomplishment for me. This year (like the past few) was very difficult, uncomfortable, painful, stressful, and emotional, but I tried to keep a smile through it all (most of the time) and for that, I am very proud of myself.”

3. She Spends Time In the Water

As you can see from her recent Instagram post, Foley loves to spend time in the water. She captioned the photo, “I’ve seen far too many insides of doctors offices, and way too little sunshine… So I think it's time to get some vitamin D.” Foley also shared this video of herself in a pool, captioning it, “Sweet dreams are made of these… Baths. Still dreaming about this awesome experience at @aireancientbaths_us.”

4. She Kayaks

Swimming isn’t the only thing Foley likes to do at the beach. She also loves to go kayaking. While on a trip to San Diego, Foley posted this highlight video on Instagram. In it, she is seen kayaking at the beach. She captioned it, “I knew it looked awesome from pictures online, but seeing it in person was on a whole nother level.”

5. She Does Yoga

Foley likes to practice yoga as a way to stay in shape. While on a trip to Dallas, she made sure to do a yoga session. She shared these photos from the day on Instagram. Foley captioned the post, “Getting my inner Yogi on over at @thompsonhoteldallas’ outdoor fitness lawn. I could stay up here all day. The gym and fitness lawn are so nice here at the Thompson that it actually makes me want to work out.”

In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
