Be Disciplined

Kelly is extremely disciplined with exercise. "I work out seven days a week. And I try to workout an hour and a half a day, no matter what — whether I'm working or not," she told Yahoo's In the Know. "If I'm working, maybe I'll start it a little bit later or a little bit earlier, depending on what day of the week it is. But I am very religious about my fitness."

2

Mix Up Your Workouts

Kelly uses exercise to energize herself "I think that energy begets energy," she told ITK. "There are people that say, 'You must hate working out!' It's going to be so hard to push your way through [with that attitude], and I love working out. But it's like developing a love for anything: You have to really practice it to love it. And, so, I found that years ago I really figured out that the more energy I put into the gym or left on the dance floor, the more energy came back to me." In one of her most recent posts she shared her dance workout moves from one of her favorite workouts, AKT. "Dancing through 2022," she captioned it. In addition to dancing four times a week she does SoulCycle twice and also runs, she told People

Avoid Alcohol

Kell quit drinking in 2017 with her husband and maintains that it contributes to her "healthy lifestyle." "We did both quit drinking almost three years ago. Not that we were sitting around drinking day and night, but I think that there is something about like clean living—maybe that's what did it. Maybe that's the difference," she told Parade

4

Maintain a High-Alkaline, Anti-Inflammatory Diet

Kelly follows a high-alkaline diet. She told People that the low-acid meal plan is "responsible for [her] not being in pain" as it is anti-inflammatory. "I actually eat much more on this cleanse than I do in my actual life, but it's what you eat and how you eat it."

5

Find a Workout Buddy

Kelly has the perfect workout buddy: Her spouse, Consuelos. "Couples therapy," she captioned this Instagram photo of herself mountain climbing with her husband. "Social connections like these not only give us pleasure, they also influence our long-term health in ways every bit as powerful as adequate sleep, a good diet, and not smoking. Dozens of studies have shown that people who have social support from family, friends, and their community are happier, have fewer health problems, and live longer," says Harvard Health.

6

Drink Milk

Kelly loves milk. "The nest might be empty, but my morning glass is full of MILK. A splash of coffee, a dry body brush and a detailed skincare routine help too. Kickstarting my day my way," she captioned this post. "There's no reason to pay top-shelf prices for pre and post-workout drinks when you can simply enjoy milk and obtain similar performance-enhancing benefits. According to Jordan Mazur, MS, RD, Director of Performance Nutrition for the San Francisco 49ers, 'real milk and dairy has a powerful nutrient package with 13 essential nutrients like high-quality protein, calcium, iron, zinc and vitamin D, is a friend to both flexitarian and vegetarian eating patterns, and contributes nutrients that athletes struggle to consume but are important for supporting performance and recovery.'" says our sister site Eat This, Not That!

7

Eat a Plant Focused Diet

Kelly keeps animal products to a minimum. "I like to drink coffee. I occasionally will have fish. The alkaline diet is primarily a vegan diet, but I like cream in my coffee. I like to have a glass of wine. So I don't adhere to it strictly, but when I do a cleanse, it will be seven days, and then I go back to my normal life. But my normal life, like I said, is not that different than the alkaline cleanse," she told People.
