Kelsea Ballerini is trying on swimsuits and practicing self-love! The country star started the week off with an inspirational message to fans, while also giving them a glimpse at her fantastic figure. “No matter the destination, love the swim (and skin) you’re in,” she captioned the most recent Instagram Reel of herself having major fun in the sun. How does the 28-year-old singer maintain her fit physique? Read on to see 8 of Kelsea Ballerini’s top do’s and don’ts for staying in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Do Have a Routine

Consistency is key for Kelsea. "To be honest, routine always sounded boring, but now it's something that helps me feel like I'm in control of my life. I'm baby stepping my way into it,” she explained to Shape. “Little things, like when you get out of bed, make the bed. Get outside for 30 minutes a day. Sit on the porch. Take the dog for a walk. I'm building that into my life, and it's not boring at all. It's really helping me feel that ownership of my life that I need.”

2. Don’t Neglect Yourself

2022 CMT Music Awards - Red CarpetJason Kempin / 2022 CMT Music Awards/Getty Images

For Kelsea, self-care is a major priority. “I used to think 'me time' was so narcissistic, but now I realize it's necessary,” she explained. “I have a SoulCycle bike, and I love to do that. I am a hot-bath fanatic. I have all my essential oils, and I do that pretty much every night. I can show up in a more present way when I'm taking time for myself too."

3. Do the 80/20 Diet

64th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/Getty Images

Kelsea is all about a healthy lifestyle, aiming for healthy eating the majority of the time. “I've always been an 80/20 person as far as food and drinking. I try to do what's good for me 80 percent of the time. The other 20 percent of the time, I just enjoy my life,” she explained. “I run through the McDonald's drive-through once a month, and it's fine. Sometimes I'll have a little too much wine, and that's OK too. I've spent so much of my life feeling guilty for things that I eat or having an unhealthy relationship with food or the gym or whatever. So I just try to be nice to myself and do what's good for me. And when I don't, I start again the next day."

4. Do Exercise

Kelsea trains with Nashville based trainer Erin Oprea, and the two focus on strength and weight exercises. “We're on Zoom three days a week and do a lot of strength training intervals, where you alternate two exercises until you've burned that muscle group, then move on. We cram it all into 45 minutes and call it a day,” she told Shape. She also explains that exercise is just as important for mental health as it is for physical. "I guess I always had this thought that trainers just yell at you until you cry. But with Erin, she definitely pushes me, but she also just makes me feel really empowered when we work out," she told Health. "Afterward, I never feel stressed or exhausted; I always feel good, like I just accomplished something. Erin’s really encouraging like that."

5. Don’t Do the Same Workout on Repeat

57th Academy Of Country Music Awards - Champions ClubDavid Becker/ACMA2022/Getty Images

Kelsea emphasizes the importance of mixing up your workouts. “There are so many different kinds of moving. Going to the gym or running on the treadmill, which I personally hate and tried for years, isn’t the only way to exercise,” she explained to Nashville Edit. “I love any kind of cycle class because the music is super loud, the lights are dark, and I can shut my eyes and feel like I am at home with my headphones on. I also love Pilates for building long, lean muscle,” she continued. “Working out, something I used to dread, is now something that I look forward to because it boosts my stamina onstage and makes me feel much more clear-headed and, in my body, too.”

6. Don’t Shame Yourself

57th Academy of Country Music Awards - ArrivalsJeff Kravitz/FilmMagic

Kelsea tries to approach health and wellness with love. “I don’t shame myself if I screw up. I don’t make myself feel bad if I have a cheat meal or even a cheat day. I’ve struggled with body image my entire life and knew if I was going to be an artist, I had to figure my shit out. I don’t diet. I like my legs. I hate my stomach. I try not to stress about it. If I start to feel like crap about myself, I get off Instagram and stop comparing myself to others. I do the best I can,” she told Nashville Edit.

7. Do Stay Active Outdoors

Kelsea maintains an active lifestyle, spending a lot of time outdoors. Weather walking on the beach, hiking in the mountains, or checking out a waterfall, she makes sure to enjoy nature while blasting calories.

Singer Kelsea Ballerini just came back from a trip to Cabo. She shared some highlights in a recent Instagram post. In them, Ballerini and her friends enjoyed time on a boat, at a beach, and at a club. She wore a lot of different swimsuits, including a leopard print one-piece and a green bikini. She captioned the post, “Too many moments to fit into a dump, but here is our official submission to be the real housewives of cabo. My heart is full, my belly hurts from laughing, and if I see a margarita in the near future I may yak. Ready for the year and so deeply grateful for friendship.” Read on to see 5 ways Kelsea Ballerini stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Prioritizes Skincare

Ballerini revealed her skincare routine and products to WhoWhatWear. She says that skincare is a lot more important to her now. “In the last few years, I’ve switched from just using makeup wipes to actually washing my face,” she says. “I mean, I’m finally acting like I’m in my late 20s now. It’s about time! But yeah, my morning routine is to wash with Skin Pharm’s Gentle Soothing Cleanser ($40), and then I use hyaluronic acid, and then I use Skin Pharm’s Glow Factor Vitamin C Serum ($150), their Eye Sculpt ($75)—which is an eye cream—and then the SPF.”

2. She Double Cleanses

Ballerini tells WhoWhatWear that she makes sure to cleanse her face. She says that she even double cleanses at night. “In the evening, I’ll do a double cleanse. I start with an oil cleanser, and then I follow that with the same gentle cleanser I do in the morning, and then I do the hyaluronic acid again, and then I do Murad’s Nutrient-Charged Water Gel ($62) as the last step.”

3. She Has A Better Approach To Fitness

The 56th Annual CMA Awards - ArrivalsJason Davis/WireImage

Ballerini opened up about her approach to wellness and fitness to WhoWhatWear. She says that she has changed her outlook on exercise. “I think my relationship with the word ‘healthy’ is always evolving. I used to work out solely for the way that I would look if I did. But now, I’ve really just transitioned to listening to myself and my body.”

4. She Walks

2022 CMT Artists Of The Year - Red CarpetJason Kempin/Getty Images

One of Ballerini’s favorite workouts is going on walks. She tells WhoWhatWear that she picked this up after touring. “I could just feel that my body really needed a break. And to be completely honest with you, ever since then, I have just been walking, and that’s kind of it. I don’t want working out to become an unhealthy crutch for me. So right now, my workout routine is really just walking outside and getting fresh air and vitamin D from the sun, hanging out with my dog. … That’s what feels like a healthy place for me.”

5. She Believes In Balance

Ballerini tells New Beauty that she is all about balance in her life. She says that the pandemic is what caused her to develop this. “I learned so much about myself this past year. I don’t think I realized how much I thrive in balance. I really love being busy. I love always having forward motion and looking to what’s next, but I think I’ve learned that I can do that better when my roots are deep and watered.”

Kelsea Ballerini is sharing her gratitude – in her swimsuit. The country singer shows off her strong abs in a bathing suit in one of her latest posts, opening up about her recent tour. “Spent the last few months touring with my hero turned brother @kennychesney,” she wrote. “My heart is so full from a beautiful collection of new memories. Thank you to everyone who made it so dang special,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Oh I love this ! 💕Making Tennessee proud,” commented her friend, Reese Witherspoon. 1. She Battles Anxiety

Kelsea discussed her mental health with Reese Witherspoon in a video discussing her poetry book. “I have anxiety. A lot of people do. We live in a very difficult time,” Ballerini confessed. “It’s something I talk about a lot: mental health and being able to feel safe.”

2. She Goes to Therapy

“I have been in therapy in and out my whole life,” Ballerini revealed to Reese. “It’s interesting, though, because when I was younger it was stuff that I was always made to do. It was all kind of forced upon me. So, I always had this stigma around it like, ‘this feels taboo. This feels like something other people want me to do.’ It wasn’t until the last few years that it was my decision that I was like, ‘I can be a healthier person.’”

3. She Strives to Be Healthy, Not Skinny

The 2023 CMT Music Awards - Backstage and AudienceGetty Images

“I think for me, I’ve had to redefine I don’t want to be skinny, I want to be healthy,” Ballerini added in the interview “I want to be able to nourish myself and take care of myself, and that doesn’t just mean my body. It means my mind, it means my soul, it means my creativity. All of that. Nourishing those things makes me feel healthy. And when I feel healthy I’m a better wife, and daughter, and friend, and writer, and all the things that I actually care about way more than how I look.”

4. She Took a Break From Exercise

In 2022, Kelsea took a “season of rest” from her workout routine. “As someone that's really struggled with body image my whole life, I really have to be checked in to, 'Am I doing this for the right reasons?' And I felt like by the end of that tour, I was starting to detach from the correct reasons for working out," she told Women’s Health. “I'll definitely start introducing cardio and strength training again so I can perform well, but I’ve been in a 'Season of Rest' before tuning up again.”

5. She Takes “Long, Slow Walks”

2023 CMT Music Awards – Red CarpetKevin Mazur/Getty Images

During her Season of Rest, Kelsea focused on doing “a lot of things to kind of reconnect with my inner child.” For example, she took really long, slow walks," and aimed for 10,000 steps per day. “Just to get fresh air and get sunshine and move my body, but not move my body in a way that I'm feeling like I'm needing [to see] some results."

6. She Dances

Kelsea did “all kinds of dance” growing up, but recently returned to classical dance. “I started taking ballet again. I danced for 10 years when I was younger, and quit when I was 14. But I loved it so much. And then my path really shifted to music,” she told Women’s Health. “I'm just trying to see what my body remembers and then and then relearn the art of it, because it's so beautiful. It's the little micro muscles in your ankles and in your inner thighs, and the (idea) that there's a string pulling you directly up to the ceiling while your toes are pushing down into the ground."

Country superstar Kelsea Ballerini is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day the traditional way: by wearing green! A green bathing suit that is. The singer posted a stunning new photo on Instagram of herself wearing a strapless one-piece green bathing suit. She captioned the photo, “Happy St. Paddy’s Day.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kelsea Ballerini stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Works With A Trainer

Ballerini, like many people, works with a personal trainer to help her stay in shape. Ballerini tells The Cut that she still does sessions with her trainer while she’s touring and on the road. “I have a trainer when I’m home in Nashville. Her name is Erin Oprea and she also trains Carrie Underwood and a bunch of other people. We do a lot of strength training and then when I’m on the road, we do circuits — sometimes with my band — or we’ll go to a class that’s close by, like if there’s a Soul Cycle we’ll go offsite to do that, which is really fun.”

2. She Has A Workout Playlist

Ballerini tells The Cut that she loves to listen to music in order to get herself through a workout or gym session. She says that her go-to workout songs are anything fast with motivational lyrics. “I usually listen to rap or EDM or anything that makes me want to actually push myself. I love anything Drake; I like Kendrick [Lamar] a lot. As for EDM, I like Zedd and Chainsmokers; anything with a beat drop.”

3. She Believes in Moderation

Glass,And,Bottle,Of,Red,Wine,On,Wooden,Table.,SpaceShutterstock

Ballerini says that she’s all about moderation when it comes to her diet. She tells The Cut that she lives by the popular “80/20 Rule” when it comes to food. “I try to eat really healthy 80 percent of the time, and then the other 20 percent of the time I’m eating cookies, pizza, and wine. I’m a red wine person.”

4. She Knows What Works For Her

57th Academy of Country Music Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Ballerini tells The Cut that she doesn’t listen to other people’s workout and wellness tips. She says that she knows what works best for her and sticks with it. “You have to find what works for you and not compare your health or your workouts or your eating patterns to anyone else’s, because everyone is different and everyone’s bodies are different. Learn what works for you, and be happy with that.”

5. She’s All About Endurance

Ballerini tells Shape that she does a lot of endurance based workouts, like running. She says that she does these types of exercises because they are the most helpful to her in her daily life. "I love to move around on stage. I love to be animated and run around. So being able to sing and breathe at same time, you need endurance. I work out on tour, off tour, and to get ready to tour. I recently took up running and cycling for endurance. I want to break a sweat every day."

1. She Is Body Neutral

LizzoBikiniLizzo/Instagram

Lizzo identifies as “body neutral” not “body positive,” she explained in the December 2021 issue of Essence Magazine. “It’s exhausting,” she said. “And that’s the point. I don’t want to talk about this anymore. We should be neutral about bodies.” She has also used the term "body normative” to describe her approach. “I want to normalize my body. And not just be like, ‘Ooh, look at this cool movement. Being fat is body-positive.’ No, being fat is normal,” she told Vogue in 2020. “I think now, I owe it to the people who started this to not just stop here. We have to make people uncomfortable again, so that we can continue to change. Change is always uncomfortable, right?”

2. She Battled Body Dysmorphia

63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards – ArrivalsShutterstock

Lizzo revealed during a Rolling Stone interview that she battled body image issues as a teen. However, she has come to love herself exactly the way she is. “I’ve come to terms with body dysmorphia and evolved,” she explained.

3. She Tries Not to Respond to the Haters

Gucci Love Parade - ArrivalsRich Fury/Getty Images

After being accused of fueling the “obesity epidemic” via Twitter and she responded, she opted to take a step back from social media. “That was the end of that era for me,” she told Rolling Stone.

4. She Wants to Celebrated for Her Music Not Her Body

Global Citizen Live, New YorkKevin Mazur/Getty Images

Lizzo doesn’t want to be seen as “brave” for her body, but celebrated for her music. “I’m so much more than that. Because I actually present that, I have a whole career. It’s not a trend.”

5. She Wants Everyone to Feel “Blessed” and “Capable”

“I’m blessed, and I want you to know that you’re blessed. I want you to know that you woke up this morning, and that’s a blessing, I want you to know the sun is shining somewhere, that’s a blessing, and even if it’s raining, it’s cleansing you – it’s a blessing. I want you to know that whatever you’re going through, if it doesn’t feel good, that you will feel good again, and you have whatever it takes to feel good again,” she said during an Instagram video she posted after the Twitter situation. “You are capable. You deserve to feel good as hell, and you deserve to find that. And as proud as you are of me, I’m proud of you. I’m really proud of you – because life comes at you fast, and sometimes it can be so hard, but if I can make it, I know you can make it. We can make it together.”

6. She Prioritizes Self Care

63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards – Arrivalsfor The Recording Academy

“Self care is in the little moments — bathing, sweating, washing your hair.. it’s in laughing so hard you can barely catch a breath, your lungs expanding on a morning jog… now more than ever we need to enjoy the quiet within ourselves,” Lizzo said on Instagram.

7. She Wants Everyone to Feel “Good As Hell”

“Let me talk to y’all for a second,” Lizzo told fans at the 2019 MTV VMAs. “It’s so hard trying to love yourself in a world that doesn’t love you back, am I right?” she said. “So I want to take this opportunity right now to just feel good….. Because you deserve to feel good …. So tell me how you’re feeling?”

8. She Loves Her “Dimple” and “Stretch Marks”

“I’m doing this for myself. I love creating shapes with my body, and I love normalizing the dimples in my” backside “or the lumps in my thighs or my back fat or my stretch marks. … I think it’s beautiful,” she told Essence about loving her body.

9. She Chose to Accept Herself

2021 Outside Lands Music And Arts FestivalTim Mosenfelder/Getty Images

“I don’t think that loving yourself is a choice. I think that it’s a decision that has to be made for survival; it was in my case,” she told NBC News. “Loving myself was the result of answering two things: Do you want to live? ‘Cause this is who you’re gonna be for the rest of your life. Or are you gonna just have a life of emptiness, self-hatred and self-loathing? And I chose to live, so I had to accept myself.”

10. She Believes Fitness Has No Clothing Size

51st NAACP Image Awards - ArrivalsSteve Granitz/WireImage

“I want people to realise that fitness doesn’t have a look or an aesthetic or a weight. Fitness is a very personal thing that’s between you and your doctor,” she told Billboard. “To have a big black girl singing about how she’s working on the calisthenics – because mind you, I be in the gym everyday, but people don’t believe that … I think that it’s empowering for young girls, to see that it’s okay to work out and not have a six-pack.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Images of a woman saying no to plastic surgery.

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”
