1. She Uses A Healthy Meal Delivery Service

Ballerini, like everyone, likes to use meal delivery services to order food. However, she tells Shape Magazine that she doesn’t just use UberEats and DoorDash. She says that she uses a service that her friend owns, which specializes in delivering healthy food. Ballerini credits this with helping her eat healthy. "Growing up, if it wasn't waffles, I wouldn't eat it. But one of my friends started a healthy-food delivery service, and she left me meals two or three times a week, and I felt so much better. That helped me understand how good food keeps you healthy."

2. She Still Indulges Once In A While

Ballerini says that she eats healthy most of the time, but still enjoys her favorite indulgences from time to time. She tells Shape Magazine that she believes in balance and moderation when it comes to diet. “I'm really healthy, 80 percent of the time, but I believe in the power of Chicken McNuggets for real. I'm never going to be that girl who doesn't eat what I want every now and again. A couple times a week I can have a meal, dessert or snack that I just want."

3. She Builds Up Her Endurance

Ballerini has an extremely busy lifestyle, and she is constantly moving around. In order to keep this lifestyle up, Ballerini says that she does a lot of exercises that build her endurance. "I love to move around on stage,” she says to Shape Magazine. “I love to be animated and run around. So being able to sing and breathe at same time, you need endurance. I work out on tour, off tour, and to get ready to tour. I recently took up running and cycling for endurance. I want to break a sweat every day."

4. She’s Disciplined

Ballerini works with trainer, Erin Opera, to keep herself in shape. Opera, who trains several well-known country stars, tells People that Ballerini is extremely disciplined when it comes to exercise. “She might not love working out, but she does it and she does it well,” Opera says. “So much of that comes from eating and drinking, so she has to have the discipline to do that. You can’t do one without the other, you have to do both of them to get the results.”

5. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Ballerini has clear, glowing skin. Naturally, this means that she takes care of it. Ballerini told some of her skin care secrets to WhoWhatWear, and she says that she uses products that help her skin stay healthy. “I'm not as good as I should be about it,” Ballerini admits. “But as I've gotten older, I've really learned how important it is to take care of my skin. So whenever I'm not wearing super-glam makeup, I always have some kind of sunscreen on because I think that's really important. And then at night I always try to use a makeup wipe. That way at least I'm doing something even if I'm not doing the wholeeeee situation.”

6. She Hydrates Her Skin After A Flight

The 54th Annual CMA Awards - ArrivalsJason Kempin/Getty Images

Ballerini has to fly all over the place. This means that her skin can suffer, as flying can dehydrate it. However, she tells WhoWhatWear that she always brings things to hydrate her skin after she gets off the plane. “I actually had a really really crazy travel day, so I brought all of my serums and creams in a bag, and I just made sure I had a thick layer of moisturizer on my face at all times. Flying just dehydrates you SO much. Not only internally, but your skin too.”

Kelsea Ballerini is one of the most successful country stars of all time. She’s known for hit songs like “Peter Pan,” “Love Me Like You Mean It,” and “Miss Me More.” Ahead of her new album’s release, Ballerini took a trip to Italy. She shared some highlights on Instagram this week. In one photo, she is seen sunbathing in a swimsuit. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kelsea Ballerini stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Does Ballet

New,York,,New,York,-,September,09:,Kelsea,Ballerini,AttendsShutterstock

Ballerini opened up about her fitness routine to Women’s Health. She says that she is getting back into ballet. “I'm just trying to see what my body remembers and then relearn the art of it, because it's so beautiful. It's the little micro muscles in your ankles and in your inner thighs, and the (idea) that there's a string pulling you directly up to the ceiling while your toes are pushing down into the ground.”

2. She’s Adjusting How She Views Working Out

Las,Vegas,-,Mar,7:,Kelsea,Ballerini,At,The,2022Shutterstock

In her Women’s Health interview, Ballerini talked about her approach to fitness. She says that while touring with the Jonas Brothers, she began to over-exercise. Ballerini says that she is trying to change this approach, and is not working out unless she feels like it’s best for her. “As someone that's really struggled with body image my whole life, I really have to be checked in to, 'Am I doing this for the right reasons?’ I felt like by the end of that tour, I was starting to detach from the correct reasons for working out.”

3. She Washes Her Face

A,Woman,Is,Washing,Her,Face,With,Cold,Water,,CleaningShutterstock

Ballerini shared some of her skincare secrets with WhoWhatWear, including how she washes her face. “Well, I think the first thing is that in the last few years, I’ve switched from just using makeup wipes to actually washing my face [laughs]. I mean, I’m finally acting like I’m in my late 20s now. It’s about time! But yeah, my morning routine is to wash with Skin Pharm’s Gentle Soothing Cleanser ($40), and then I use hyaluronic acid, and then I use Skin Pharm’s Glow Factor Vitamin C Serum ($150), their Eye Sculpt ($75)—which is an eye cream—and then the SPF. It’s a whole thing!”

4. She Walks

Ballerini tells WhoWhatWear that she likes to walk to stay in shape. “Right now, my workout routine is really just walking outside and getting fresh air and vitamin D from the sun, hanging out with my dog. … That’s what feels like a healthy place for me. When my body tells me it’s time to get back into the gym or do weight training or SoulCycle or all those things I’ve been doing over the last few years, then I’ll start going back in that direction.”

5. She Wears Sunscreen

Ballerini shared her favorite sunscreen in her WhoWhatWear interview. “There’s a place in Nashville called Skin Pharm, and my friend Maegan founded it. They have stores all over now, but the OG is in Nashville, and she has completely changed my skin. I use all of her stuff, and she has a 100% Mineral Tinted SPF ($60) that’s been a huge game changer for my skin.”

Kelsea Ballerini is sharing her gratitude – in her swimsuit. The country singer shows off her strong abs in a bathing suit in one of her latest posts, opening up about her recent tour. “Spent the last few months touring with my hero turned brother @kennychesney,” she wrote. “My heart is so full from a beautiful collection of new memories. Thank you to everyone who made it so dang special,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Oh I love this ! 💕Making Tennessee proud,” commented her friend, Reese Witherspoon. 1. She Battles Anxiety

Kelsea discussed her mental health with Reese Witherspoon in a video discussing her poetry book. “I have anxiety. A lot of people do. We live in a very difficult time,” Ballerini confessed. “It’s something I talk about a lot: mental health and being able to feel safe.”

2. She Goes to Therapy

“I have been in therapy in and out my whole life,” Ballerini revealed to Reese. “It’s interesting, though, because when I was younger it was stuff that I was always made to do. It was all kind of forced upon me. So, I always had this stigma around it like, ‘this feels taboo. This feels like something other people want me to do.’ It wasn’t until the last few years that it was my decision that I was like, ‘I can be a healthier person.’”

3. She Strives to Be Healthy, Not Skinny

The 2023 CMT Music Awards - Backstage and AudienceGetty Images

“I think for me, I’ve had to redefine I don’t want to be skinny, I want to be healthy,” Ballerini added in the interview “I want to be able to nourish myself and take care of myself, and that doesn’t just mean my body. It means my mind, it means my soul, it means my creativity. All of that. Nourishing those things makes me feel healthy. And when I feel healthy I’m a better wife, and daughter, and friend, and writer, and all the things that I actually care about way more than how I look.”

4. She Took a Break From Exercise

In 2022, Kelsea took a “season of rest” from her workout routine. “As someone that's really struggled with body image my whole life, I really have to be checked in to, 'Am I doing this for the right reasons?' And I felt like by the end of that tour, I was starting to detach from the correct reasons for working out," she told Women’s Health. “I'll definitely start introducing cardio and strength training again so I can perform well, but I’ve been in a 'Season of Rest' before tuning up again.”

5. She Takes “Long, Slow Walks”

2023 CMT Music Awards – Red CarpetKevin Mazur/Getty Images

During her Season of Rest, Kelsea focused on doing “a lot of things to kind of reconnect with my inner child.” For example, she took really long, slow walks," and aimed for 10,000 steps per day. “Just to get fresh air and get sunshine and move my body, but not move my body in a way that I'm feeling like I'm needing [to see] some results."

6. She Dances

Kelsea did “all kinds of dance” growing up, but recently returned to classical dance. “I started taking ballet again. I danced for 10 years when I was younger, and quit when I was 14. But I loved it so much. And then my path really shifted to music,” she told Women’s Health. “I'm just trying to see what my body remembers and then and then relearn the art of it, because it's so beautiful. It's the little micro muscles in your ankles and in your inner thighs, and the (idea) that there's a string pulling you directly up to the ceiling while your toes are pushing down into the ground."

Kelsea Ballerini is welcoming the new year – in her swimsuit and workout gear. In a new social media post, showing off her gorgeous body in a variety of bathing suits and exercise clothes, the country singer reflects on 2024 and gets real about her struggles. “i spent majority of this year wildly uncomfortable. part of it intentional, knowing real growth and creativity (maybe even freedom) comes from pushing myself out of my comfort zone. i took the most time off the road that i have in 10 years, and had to rewire my brain to not operate from a place of scarcity from that. then sat in the space to try new things, then actually made the jump and did them. shaking in my boots then learning im more capable than i give myself credit for. and checking a few things off the bucket list along the way,” she writes, sharing a few thing she was “uncomfortable” about and how she found a “deeper gratitude for friendships and therapy. and good skincare. and sleep.” She continues: “uncomfortable in challenging myself to chill with the death grip on fear and settle into a new pace and level of steady love. not dashing during dust storms and enjoying the view even more when it settles. taking a magnifying glass to past patterns, and valuing, even protecting its place in my life. uncomfortable in the juggle of wanting more and wanting less, being the girl on stage and a dog mom, some days feeling new still and others spent precautionary plotting when the glitter won’t be as glittery. so i guess my goal for the year ahead is to try to find some comfort? in the loud and quiet, public and private moments. to still push and seek and want, but find comfort in being uncomfortable. don’t get me wrong, i love a little chaos. i just wonder how it pairs with a little more peace.” How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Protein and Salt

Kelsea also learned she wasn’t getting enough salt and protein in her diet. “I didn’t realize that you had to have salt to absorb water,” she said, revealing that she drinks electrolytes and water in the morning. She also eats more protein. “Chomps, cottage cheese, a good steak—that’s my trifecta right now,” she says. For breakfast she usually has a couple of scrambled eggs with chimichurri on top, a side of cottage cheese, and blueberries. For lunch, she makes her version of a turkey sandwich. “I do layers of turkey and cheese, with sprouts and tomato,” she says. “On one side, I put a little avocado. On the other, aioli.” Dinner might be salmon with zucchini or a skirt steak with asparagus.

A Gentler Approach to Fitness

Kelsea has shifted her approach to fitness. She recently explained to Women’s Health that she used to work out with a high-profile trainer, who “trained a lot of the really hot country girls,” doing four or five strength-training sessions a week. But after five years, she needed something different. “It almost felt like I was punishing myself to become what I thought I was supposed to be, visually, in my industry,” she said.

SoulCycle

Bellevue,,Washington,/,Usa,-,December,4,2019:,"soulcycle",SignsShutterstock

She took a little break and then added gentle exercise into her life. One of the workout she did was SoulCycle, which she still attends from time to time. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Lagree Method

However, it was the Lagree Method—a high-intensity, low-impact workout that incorporates a Megaformer – that she fell in love with and does three to four times a a week. “I do it as much as I can,” she said. “I love how it makes me feel doing it—I feel strong. Having a good relationship with how I’m moving my body has changed everything for me.” She adds that it also gave her a booty. “I’m proud of that ass!”

Walking

She also walks her dogs, including a nine-year-old labradoodle named Dibs, “the love of my life,” she says. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Country superstar Kelsea Ballerini is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day the traditional way: by wearing green! A green bathing suit that is. The singer posted a stunning new photo on Instagram of herself wearing a strapless one-piece green bathing suit. She captioned the photo, “Happy St. Paddy’s Day.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kelsea Ballerini stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Works With A Trainer

Ballerini, like many people, works with a personal trainer to help her stay in shape. Ballerini tells The Cut that she still does sessions with her trainer while she’s touring and on the road. “I have a trainer when I’m home in Nashville. Her name is Erin Oprea and she also trains Carrie Underwood and a bunch of other people. We do a lot of strength training and then when I’m on the road, we do circuits — sometimes with my band — or we’ll go to a class that’s close by, like if there’s a Soul Cycle we’ll go offsite to do that, which is really fun.”

2. She Has A Workout Playlist

Ballerini tells The Cut that she loves to listen to music in order to get herself through a workout or gym session. She says that her go-to workout songs are anything fast with motivational lyrics. “I usually listen to rap or EDM or anything that makes me want to actually push myself. I love anything Drake; I like Kendrick [Lamar] a lot. As for EDM, I like Zedd and Chainsmokers; anything with a beat drop.”

3. She Believes in Moderation

Glass,And,Bottle,Of,Red,Wine,On,Wooden,Table.,SpaceShutterstock

Ballerini says that she’s all about moderation when it comes to her diet. She tells The Cut that she lives by the popular “80/20 Rule” when it comes to food. “I try to eat really healthy 80 percent of the time, and then the other 20 percent of the time I’m eating cookies, pizza, and wine. I’m a red wine person.”

4. She Knows What Works For Her

Ballerini tells The Cut that she doesn’t listen to other people’s workout and wellness tips. She says that she knows what works best for her and sticks with it. “You have to find what works for you and not compare your health or your workouts or your eating patterns to anyone else’s, because everyone is different and everyone’s bodies are different. Learn what works for you, and be happy with that.”

5. She’s All About Endurance

The Hollywood Reporter's Women In Entertainment Gala - ArrivalsFrazer Harrison/Getty Images

Ballerini tells Shape that she does a lot of endurance based workouts, like running. She says that she does these types of exercises because they are the most helpful to her in her daily life. "I love to move around on stage. I love to be animated and run around. So being able to sing and breathe at same time, you need endurance. I work out on tour, off tour, and to get ready to tour. I recently took up running and cycling for endurance. I want to break a sweat every day."

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston is 55 and turning 56 in February! Since soaring to fame in 1994, the Friends star has hardly aged in the three decades that have passed – and she has never been secretive about her devotion to health and wellness. Her hard work over the years has paid off through her strong and lean body and ageless looks. Here is everything you need to know about Jennifer Aniston’s approach to longevity.

She Maintains a High Protein Diet

"My nutrition is very much the same. It's usually a lot of high protein, vegetables, salads, soups,” she tells People. “I do 80/20. I give myself days where I can have whatever I want. I don’t deprive myself,” she added to TODAY. Why should you consider amping up your protein intake? According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW) but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

She Cheats on Occasion

Jennifer allows herself to indulge in “everything I would possibly want on a weekend,” she told People. Her cheat meal “depends,” she says. “I mean, dare I sound repetitive, but Mexican food is a real favorite of mine. It's not even that much of a cheat, to be honest. Or a cheeseburger or pizza or pasta — all that stuff.”

She Tries to Get Enough Sleep

“My bigger challenge is sleep. I think that’s all part of our nutritional hygiene — the amount of water we get as well as the amount of sleep we get. It’s the combination of all of those things that make your workouts the most effective," she told TODAY.

“I’ve become gentler with myself,” she says of her approach to fitness, which has “definitely evolved” over the years. “I find that I can be gentler on my body and still get the benefits of a great workout,” she told Prevention. She specifically loves P.Volve workouts, a functional fitness that helps you “function throughout the day” and “work out your essential muscle groups to keep your body strong,” she says. “So you can live a long, healthy, strong life.”

She Hydrates

Aniston prioritizes hydration, drinking a whopping 100 ounces of water per day. "But occasionally I just have to have a Diet Coke—there's nothing like it!" According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Does Pilates, Spinning, Elliptical, and Running Workouts

“I had an injury last fall and I was only able to do Pilates, which I absolutely love. But I was missing that kind of sweat when you just go for it,” she recently told InStyle. “I'm going back to my 15-15-15, which is a 15-minute spin, elliptical, run. And then just old school: I can chase myself around a gym. I need some kind of movement, even if it's just 10 minutes a day on a trampoline.”
