Her Diet Is Healthy
Kenya's overall approach to diet? "More veggies less sugar," she revealed in an Instagram post explaining how she lost a ton of weight. "I eat whatever I want in small portions. Instead of having three big meals, I'll eat six smaller meals throughout the day with lean protein and vegetables," she told Fit Bottomed Girls. "I'm a big believer in eating well-rounded meals and not depriving yourself. So if I want a cookie or a piece of cake, I'll have it—but I might not eat the whole thing. If you eat a balanced diet, you don't have to have days where you feel like you have to "cheat" on this or that diet."
She Prioritizes Fitness
Kenya prioritizes fitness. "In terms of a typical week, I work out about five to six times—doing everything from hiking, Tae Bo, Zumba, walking, or my Booty Boot Camp DVD, to dancing, Pilates, etc. When I wake up in the morning, I'll stretch; I'll meditate. I'll do a circuit workout, some squats like in the DVD," she told Fit Bottomed Girls. "Also, it's important to incorporate other lower-body exercises into your daily routine. Stair-climbing is great, hiking is great, skiing is great. Anything that's focused on toning your lower body will also help you get a good booty."
She Plays Tennis
Kenya also plays tennis. "I enjoyed playing with you! JK You are truly a GOAT, a woman of class, substance and integrity. You are an inspiration to millions of people but to all the little girls who look like you❤️. You inspired me to pick up my racquets again. Continue to SHINE!" she captioned an edited video depicted her playing tennis with Serena Williams.
In her Instagram post revealing how she lost weight, she maintained that hydration was key. "Drank more water," she said. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids
She Believes Healthy Living Is a Lifestyle
"Healthy living is a lifestyle. You must dedicate yourself to health and fitness by exercising every day," Kenya told OTS Magazine about her overall approach to health. "Eating a low-fat diet but allowing yourself to eat the things you love in moderation. Move your body every day by walking, hiking, basketball, boxing, dancing, or anything you love to keep on course."
