Kim Cattrall is an icon, best known as the siren Samantha Jones on Sex and The City. Now, into her 60’s, Cattrall is still looking amazing. Prepping for a part on Peacock’s reboot of Queer as Folk, Cattrall posed in a brown one-piece swimsuit on Instagram. She captioned the post, “Nothing to see here. Keep movin’!” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kim Cattrall stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Grew Up Healthy

Cattrall revealed some of her wellness tips to People. She says that the time she grew up in, is one of the reasons she’s in such great shape now. “This generation of women that I’m in, we have been brought up with Jane Fonda workout tapes and fresh air is good for you and exercise every day and drink eight cups of water,” she says. “It’s paid off at this time of my life.’

2. She Works Out For Herself

Cattrall tells People that when it comes to wellness, she does it for herself, not to look attractive to a man. “I don’t do it for a guy. I do it for me. It’s about taking care of yourself.” "No matter your age, weight or athletic ability, aerobic activity is good for you. Aerobic activity has many health benefits. As your body adapts to regular aerobic exercise, you'll get stronger and fitter," says the Mayo Clinic. "Combined with a healthy diet, aerobic exercise helps you lose weight and keep it off."

3. She Does Workouts That Are Easy On Her Body

Midsummer Party For The Old VicDave Benett/Getty Images

Cattrall revealed her favorite workouts to Woman & Home Magazine. She says that she chooses exercises that don’t strain her body, since she’s dealt with injuries before. “I've had injuries in the past, so I also do ‘physio yoga' - a combination of physio and yoga so I'm constantly trying to rehabilitate my body. The older I get, the less jarring I want my exercise to be and I find that a long walk is equally as helpful and satisfying as a three-mile jog.

4. She Believes In Balance

2019 Fox UpfrontGetty Images

For Cattrall, wellness is all about balance. She revealed her approach to dieting and wellness to Woman & Home, saying, I joke that I've been on a diet since 1974, which is basically true. I like to eat, and my body type is not naturally this thin - especially at this age. So I do watch what I eat and drink, but I'm not obsessive - it's just a way of life. So I don't have dessert after every meal - I just can't do it. I have a big appetite and I like to eat, and staying on top of that is about knowing myself and saying, ‘I can eat that today, but tomorrow I'm not going to.’ And I'm always aware from gaining and losing weight for parts, that the time in the gym trying to lose extra weight is really hard work! I always have that in my mind.”

5. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Variety's 2022 Power Of Women: New York Event Presented By Lifetime - ArrivalsJamie McCarthy/Getty Images

When it comes to skincare, Cattrall tells Woman & Home that she takes a quality over quantity approach. She says that she does things that help her skin, but doesn’t have an intense routine. “I've got a very good dermatologist because I have very sensitive skin. I like to exfoliate and I wear make-up that has sun protection, but other than that it's a very lax regime. I wear a very minimal amount of make up in daily life because I like my skin to breathe.”

Kim Kardashian certainly knows how to steam up social media. The reality star shared a smoking hot swimsuit selfie on Thursday, taken from the Bahamas where she is currently vacationing with close pal Pete Davidson. “Sweet sweet fantasy baby,” she captioned the snap, referencing lyrics from the Mariah Carey song "Fantasy." In just over an hour the photo amassed over one million likes on Instagram. How does the 41-year-old keep her body in the break-the-internet form? Read on to see 7 ways Kim Kardashian stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Lifts Weights

Kim has worked out with tons of trainers, but really transformed her body when she started training with bodybuilder Melissa Alcantara, who busts her famous butt in the gym. "I’ve been working out really hardcore with a bodybuilder for one year. September is our one-year anniversary,” Kim revealed to E! News in 2018, via People. Ever since, the duo have been lifting “heavy weights,” per Kim with Alcantara adding to Women’s Health that 85% of their training is done with weights.

2. She Works Out Every Day That Ends in “Y”

If you want Kim’s body, you will have to work hard for it—every day. “I work out about an hour-and-a-half every single day,” she confessed to E! News. "The Department of Health and Human Services recommends that healthy adults include aerobic activity and strength training in their fitness plans, specifically:

  • At least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week, or an equivalent combination of moderate and vigorous aerobic activity
  • Strength training exercises of all the major muscle groups at least twice a week," says the Mayo Clinic.

3. She Has a “No Excuses” Policy

Kim doesn’t make excuses to miss her workouts. Her trainer explained to People in 2020 that Kim shows up no matter what. "Just like anybody else, there are days where Kim's not really feeling it, but she will do it," she said. "Then there are a lot of days when she's killing it! She never questions the stuff that I make her do, she's just like, 'Okay,' and I love that."

4. She Sprints

Missy Keating, the actress, singer and Ronan Keating's daughter, just shared a bathing suit photo of her loving lives. She wore a light green one piece with stripes and plants, and a yellow and brown striped towel with flowers on it. She captioned it, “Tell me you love life, without telling me you love life.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Missy Keating stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Doesn’t Let Criticism Bother Her

Keating has had a lot of criticism on social media. However, she tells Gossie that she doesn’t let it bother her. “I’ve had a very good experience with social media over the years, but you’ll get the odd mean message every now and then. I’ve grown up with thick skin, and growing up in the spotlight has probably given me that thick skin. You’ve just got to remind yourself who these kind of people are that are commenting.”

2. She’s True To Herself

Keating tells Gossie that she is true to herself, especially when it comes to her career. “I just take everything in my stride. Everything I do, I do it my way. When I was growing up, my mom and dad always told me: ‘Whatever you do, do it to the fullest. Do it the way you want to do it. Give it your all, and have no regrets.’ And that is something that has stayed with me for life. If I’m on a shoot or on a job, I remind myself that I’m here to show who I am and to make my mark on the world. I don’t know how I have the confidence to do that, but I somehow do. I’m just trying to do things my way. I want to make my own name. I enjoy everything I do and I’m so thankful for the work and opportunities I get.”

3. She Dances

Keating was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. She opened up about her experience on the show to Gossie. “It was amazing, I had the best time! It was one of the most exciting, enjoyable things I’ve ever done. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I love dancing, I’ve loved it since I was a kid, and I got to learn styles that I never even knew existed. It was so cool, interesting and fun. I also loved the glitz and the glam!”

4. She Works Hard

Keating tells VIP Magazine that she works hard, and that this helped her on Dancing with the Stars. “I’m a very competitive person, just with myself. I get really annoyed in rehearsals if I can’t get it right. And I will just work and work and work until I can get it perfect. I want to listen and take it in and do that and be the best version of myself I can be. It’s going to be fun and I know it’ll be a great way to start the year.”

5. "Time to Tackle the Taboo"

Keating makes sure to support causes that are important to her. She recently took part in Pretty Little Thing’s collaboration with Girl vs Cancer. She modeled a piece from the collection in this Instagram post. Keating captioned the post, “Time to tackle the taboo. Despite thousands of women going through surgical treatment for breast cancer each year, women are still left with unflattering options when it comes to post surgery underwear.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Images of a woman saying no to plastic surgery.

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

Fitness,,Sport,,Training,,Gym,And,Lifestyle,Concept,-,Group,OfShutterstock

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker.
