It’s not easy when you’re a mom and you’re exhausted at the end of the day or you’re in school, and I’m all of the above. I do my beauty treatments usually late at night. According to Kim she cut all carbs and sugar out of her diet and drank a lot of water. “Two weeks before [the Met Gala], I was 10 pounds down and I was so proud of myself,” she said. “Then I got down 15 [pounds] and it fit. But I had a nutritionist, I had a trainer. I have never drunk more water in my life. Kardashian, chief taste consultant for Beyond Meat, follows a plant-based diet. However, to lose the weight for the Met Gala she incorporated meat back into her diet. Then “psoriasis broke out over my body and I got psoriatic arthritis so I couldn’t really move my hands,” she told Allure. “It was really painful, and I had to go to a rheumatologist who put me on a steroid. I was freaking out. I cut out the meat again, and it’s calmed down.”

5. She Works Out…A Lot

Kim is famous for her intense workout regiment. Her trainer, Melissa Alcantara dished on the details to Women’s Health. “Her schedule is crazy, and mine is also crazy, so we work out really early in the morning at 6 a.m,” she said, adding that "85 per cent of our training is weight training, and the other 15 is made up of cardio" and that Kim works out six days per week for 60-90 minutes each time. What exercises does she do? Ball slams, burpees, sprints, and ladder drills to get her heart rate up. "She’s super responsible, she never cancels – she’s the best client and athlete you can have," Alcantara shared. "It’s just her drive. She's like, ‘I have to work out, this is part of my life.' It’s all about the mindset." To get into shape for the Met, Kim added another element. “I would wear a sauna suit twice a day [and also] run on the treadmill,” she told US Vogue.

She Does Squats

Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”
