She's On a Mostly Plant-Based Diet
Kardashian has been open about the different foods and diets she has tried in the past. Her current diet plan is a mostly plant-based diet. She revealed on Twitter in February 2020, "I eat mostly plant based. No meat anymore." In another tweet, Karadashian said her favorite plant-based meals are, "Oatmeal and vegan sausage for breakfast, vegan tacos are my fave for lunch! Salads are good, too!" She revealed on her sister Kourtney's lifestyle website Poosh, that she made this switch after being diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis.
She Eats Veggies
Being on a plant-based diet means Kardashian is eating a lot of veggies. And she has been open about her love of veggies in the past. Kardashian says that she tries to incorporate veggies into all her meals. She wrote on her app in 2018, "My trainer Mel [Alcantara] always says that before and after you train, you should eat simple carbs, like sweet potatoes. You should also have veggies with your meals, since you need them to help effectively break down and absorb your protein, fat and carbs."
She Does Strength Training & Bodybuilding Workouts
When it comes to working out, Kardashian is a big fan of strength and weight training exercises. She says that strength training makes up a lot of her fitness routines, and she's even doing some bodybuilding-esque workouts. "I work out about an hour-and-a-half every single day, heavy weights," she told E! News. "I've been working out really hard-core with a bodybuilder for one year."
She Works With A Personal Trainer
Kardashian, like most celebrities, likes to work with a personal trainer to help her stay in shape. She works with trainer Melissa Alcantara. Kardashian says that sessions with Alcantara have helped her not only exercise, but with her diet. She said on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, "Melissa is a trainer I found. She's super inspiring to me and I really want to meet up with her and she if she could train me. She could help direct my food and really get me on an amazing path … If I was 10 percent like her it would be life-changing. Like my whole arms and back. It's mostly food. I gotta have this lifestyle. I gotta try."
She Switches Up Her Workouts, But Keeps Some Fundamentals
Alcantara broke down the fitness regime she designed for Kardashian to E! News. She revealed that she likes to mix it up with the reality star. However, she also likes to have some fundamental exercises in each session. "We kind of hit each muscle group one time a week except for legs we do twice. So we'll do something like back and triceps, or chest and biceps and then we'll have a day dedicated to abs. It changes a little bit from time to time but the fundamental exercises, the things that you just need always just don't change like squats, dead lifts, bench press and shoulder presses."
She Isn't Concerned With Losing Weight
Alcantara tells E! News that she wants Kardashian to focus on how she feels and her muscles, rather than losing weight or what she looks like. "She feels stronger, she feels tighter. She's always points out these new muscles. Those are the things I want her to focus on and I think that it's more now about how I look versus what the scale says. Who cares what the scale says. As long as I feel like I look good and I feel good. We don't even talk about weight really."
She Sprints Everyday
Kardashian has become a runner, specifically a sprinter. She revealed on her Instagram story that she has started going for runs every day. "Been sprinting every day," she wrote. "I've been seeing changes!" According to the Mayo Clinic, running can help decrease the stiffness of your aortic vessel, which helps pump blood through your body.
