Read on to see 8 ways Kristen Bell stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Her Diet Is Meat Free

Kristen has been a vegetarian since she was a kid and dabbled in veganism for five years. However, in late 2017 she added some animal products, like humanely raised dairy and eggs, back into her diet. "I think being vegan is a wonderful way to live and it has great effects on the body," she told Today. "I also think it has really good effects on the environment." What does she eat? She revealed to Shape that she starts with an egg white, spinach and feta scramble with hot sauce for breakfast, followed by a salad with fruit and veggies for lunch, usually with produce from her garden, unch is usually a salad with any fruit and veggies she can find, including those she grows right in her garden, she told Shape. She sources protein creatively, for example by eating chickpea pasta.

2. She Meditates

Bell is all about getting her zen on. "Meditation makes me feel more rested than a full night's sleep," she told Live Happy magazine. "I do transcendental meditation a couple times a week and have a mantra that I repeat in a still, calm position. I really enjoy powering down for 20 minutes because it’s like shutting off light switches in my brain. I should make more time for it, but meditating even a couple times a week makes a big difference in my stress and happiness levels."

3. She Does Cardio and Strength Training

"Most days, I run or lift weights for at least 30 minutes," Bell has revealed about her workout routine. "Or I'll take a CrossFit class on indoorphins.com." She also likes pilates and SoulCycle.

4. She Does Microworkouts

Bell is also a fan of microworkouts. "I find if I can make tiny bargains with myself, I can incrementally move forward. Like I will say, 'Today all you have to do is jog for seven minutes.' 'Today all you have to do is jog for 10 minutes.' And I rarely go past 15 or 20, if ever," she told Women's Health. "If you give yourself realistic, attainable goals, you can totally achieve them—and that sense of triumph will make your workout feel even better." She also makes sure to add movement no matter what she is doing: "Just getting moving in any way, whether it's taking a walk with them or running around on their bikes in the driveway with them. So then my body just doesn't feel stagnant," she told Self.

5. She Also Sweats Her Stress Out

Bell is a big proponent of working out for mental health. “Exercise should be the first stop for anyone who experiences depression or anxiety because it encourages serotonin and endorphins,” she explained to Women’s Health. “I feel so much more centred, patient, capable. It sets the next 48 hours for me.”

6. She Doesn’t Drink a Lot of Alcohol

Bell, whose husband, Dax Shepard, is sober, rarely drinks. “I maybe have one drink a year solely because I think I might be allergic to alcohol,” Kristen told Women’s Health. “When I do have a drink, I experience the flu the next day. This isn’t normal. No one should have this much of a hangover over a glass of wine.”

7. She Avoids Gluten

In 2019, Bell “woke up” with celiac, she told Women's Health. “I don’t know what ... is going on.” She went on to explain that she found out she had the genetic marker for celiac disease. “Who knows what that means yet but I am experimenting with being completely gluten-free, which is very annoying to do, but I think it is going to help my eczema.”

8. She Indulges

“I’m not super restrictive,” Bell told Women’s Health about her diet. “If they make au gratin potatoes, I’m going to have some, but I am mindful of the portion I take. I find that through conscious eating, I’m able to have all the rewards and also maintain a healthy, steady diet.”

Kate Beckinsale is an actress, best known for her role in the popular Underworld film series. She just shared a stunning new set of photos on Instagram. In it, Beckinsale enjoyed time at the beach. She wore a brown bikini, sunhat, and a white cover-up. Beckinsale’s amazing figure was on display. She captioned the post, “Say hello to falsetto, in three, two, one, swag.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kate Beckinsale stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Stands Up For Herself

David Yurman Paris Flagship Grand OpeningKristy Sparow/Getty Images

Beckinsale isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. When she felt that her comments in an interview were misconstrued, she hit back. Beckinsale explained herself in this Instagram post. “I was asked multiple times in a recent interview if knew my IQ. I didn’t answer the question the first few times, but I did tell the truth that my mum had had me tested when I was young, and that it was high. I didn’t remember the number, and after being pressed several times to call my mother and ask her, I did. Here’s the dilemma: Tell the truth? Refuse to answer the question? Lie? Pretend it was lower? I told the truth and some journalists have been triggered by this. Are we really jumping on women for answering a question truthfully about their intelligence or education? Are we really still requiring women to dumb themselves down in order not to offend?”

2. She Protects Her Skin From The Sun

National Film Awards 2022 - Winners RoomJoe Maher/Getty Images

Beckinsale has amazing skin. She revealed some of her secrets to People. Beckinsale says that protecting her skin from the sun is one of her main tips. "I think obviously some of it is a genetic thing, although you can mess that up. I didn't see sun for the first several decades of my life, and that's probably been a big help. A great deal of it was geography [growing up in England], but the otwas on the very rare occasions when we would go on a family vacation somewhere hot, I was paranoid that I would get freckles in a mustache formation on my face. So I was wearing Factor 70 [SPF]. I just didn't want a mustache, that's really why I used sunscreen."

3. She Makes Time For Herself

2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - ArrivalsArturo Holmes/FilmMagic

Beckinsale has a busy schedule, but she always makes time to relax. "I literally cannot transition from day to night unless I have submerged myself in water," she says to People. "Which is really annoying because I could get a hotel room and it'll have cockroaches and go, 'Okay, fine,' But if [the room] doesn't have a bathtub, I'll be like, 'Sorry, can I move?' I really need to have that every day, no matter what. Even when it's Oscar night and you're getting home at seven in the morning once you've been to 15 parties. I still have to go through the whole bath thing."

4. She Pushes Herself To Workout

Beckinsale opened up about her fitness secrets to Shape Magazine. She admits that she doesn’t always want to workout. However, she pushes herself to get through it. "I start out absolutely dreading it, do an incredibly punishing workout, bitch about it the whole time, and end up feeling 100 percent better when I leave," she says. "Working out is basically nature's antidepressant."

5. She Works With A Trainer

kate-beckinsale-beachKate Beckinsale / Instagram

Beckinsale works out with personal trainer, Gunnar Peterson, to help her stay in shape. She talked about their sessions to Shape Magazine. "I work out hard with Gunnar five or six times a week," she says. "We have loads in common, like our kids. During our sessions we have long talks about teenagers, and then suddenly one day I find that my ass is in a lot better shape than I thought it was!"

Alice Attal is enjoying a beautiful trip to Noto, Italy. Charlotte Gainsbourg’s model daughter shared pictures of herself posing in a stunning luxurious pool, wearing a tiny black bikini against a background of stone walls and lush greenery. “Bella Ciao 🦞,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Attal stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Eats Shellfish

unknown_343253426_767725811688795_8960126432934282578_nAlice Attal/Instagram

As shown on her social media, Attal loves shellfish such as lobster. “It’s not as rich in omega-3 as fatty fishes like salmon and mackerel, but lobster is a lean, low-calorie source of protein with a number of vitamins and minerals, including zinc and calcium,” according to the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. “Healthy ways to serve lobster include steaming it with a spicy vinaigrette or grilling it with lemon and herbs.”

2. She Plays the Guitar

Attal plays the guitar, which experts say is a very effective way of protecting brain health and helping prevent age-related issues. Of course, this counts for any kind of musical instrument. “It engages every major part of the central nervous system,” says John Dani, PhD, chair of Neuroscience at Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine. “Recent studies suggest that music may be a uniquely good form of exercising your brain. Fun can also be good for you.”

3. Low-Key Beauty

Attal has preferred a low-key look for years, even in her early youth. “I don’t like to put too much makeup on because it makes you look fake,” she said. “I don’t like mascara because anytime you take it off, some of your eyelashes fall out, whereas the eyelash curler has a better and prettier effect on my eyes. I sometimes put on dark or skin-color eye shadow.”

4. Comfort Over Fashion Fads

Attal prefers comfort over fashion, but says she makes it work both ways. “My mom [Charlotte Gainsbourg] keeps telling me to dress simply, even though I don’t always do it,” she says. “It helps me not to exaggerate.”

5. She’s a Reader

Attal loves both reading and writing. “Research shows that elderly patients who read books or play mentally challenging games are two and a half times less likely to develop Alzheimer’s,” according to the Centre For Adult Education. “Reading is also associated with lower risk of developing dementia.”

1. She Finds Her Balance

In a video she made with her daughter Teddy, in which they discussed workouts, Kelly said: “I've been studying, practicing yoga for a long, long time. And the great thing about yoga, even just the little moves that I incorporate in my workout every day, they really help with balance. And we're always talking about balance in our life and that's really what wellness is all about, is that creating that balance, not just with food, not just the emotional balance, but your physical balance. Like if you feel good and you're treating your body well, then you will have this balance that we're talking about.”

2. She Walks

Celebrity Sightings In Miami - June 5 2022MEGA/GC Images via Getty Images

“So I've been doing a lot of walking,” Kelly said. “My oldest daughter and I have been walking all over Palm Beach and,” as a realtor, “I've been seeing the most beautiful houses. And it's been really interesting too, when you're walking, you're really in the trenches and it's incredible how each different community has such a different landscape. So it's been fascinating to see the West Palm Beach area by foot. That's been really, really great.”

3. She Jogs

Celebrity Sightings In Miami - June 5 2022MEGA/GC Images via Getty Images

“I jog like 25, 30 minutes a day. And the reason I started doing that was when I was a kid, when I was a swimmer, I needed to balance off my swimming.” How does that balancing work? “Because your body's using different muscles. And so when I would get into the water, I was faster and yeah, I used to mow the lawn before, like if I had a big meet, I would go for a run, I'd mow the lawn….Great core workout.” She adds: “What's great is that I really started running more when I was a model living in all these different countries all over the world. And it was just a really easy way for me to understand where I was, where I was going during the day. And just to get, again, like a different view of each city's landscape. And so I learned so much about all these cities and I was never intimidated by them because I would run them in the morning… I always say, you know, just put your sneakers on it. Doesn't cost a thing and you know what you get out of it.”

4. She is Thankful

Celebrity Sightings In Miami - June 5 2022MEGA/GC Images via Images

“It's good to wake up that way in the morning if you stretch. That's one reason why I like to exercise in the morning. So I just get that. I mean, it makes me feel really, really good. St the end of my workout, I always do a headstand. And I used to do, when I was doing my headstand, I used to say what I was thankful for and what I was, and then I, and then I switched and then I was like, what I'm grateful for? And then I realized, I'm so incredibly lucky. I have most beautiful family. We're healthy. We’re well. I am so fortunate to be able to raise them on my own. And so now I just say like, who I'm thankful for. So the people in my life, when I pick three people a day.”

5. Good Begets Good, She Says

Celebrity Sightings In Miami - June 5 2022MEGA/GC Images via Images

Who is she thankful for? It “depends on what person taught me a lesson or brought something new into my life or whatever it is. It's just like, I think it's just a nice gesture to put that out there. That I am thankful for the different people in my life. And I have a lot of people in my life that I'm so thankful for. So that's just kind of what I do. And so that's why you guys were like, oh my God, Kelly's always in such a good mood. I'm in a good mood because good gets good. I mean, I'm trying to be the best person I am. And I'm trying to work out as much as I can.”

Grace Charis is more than just a golf influencer—she’s a powerhouse on and off the course. Known for blending her love of the sport with a lifestyle that keeps her fit and fabulous, Charis recently shared a video on Instagram, inviting followers to “Come play this par 3 with me!” Decked out in a sleek white visor, matching skirt, and light pink top, she showcased not just her swing but her toned physique. So, how does she stay in such great shape? From perfecting her golf game to hitting the gym, here are the five fitness habits that keep Grace Charis on top of her game.

She Golfs

Golf is the main way Charis keeps herself in shape. Better Health states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Golf provides a stimulating mental challenge combined with a healthy walk in pleasant surroundings and can be played by people of all abilities and ages. Golf can be played on your own or in a team. It may be a casual pastime or a competitive activity. Golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.”

She Swims

Charis likes to swim to keep herself in shape. She shared these photos and videos on Instagram of herself snorkeling in Japan. The Cleveland Clinic says that swimming has a lot of health benefits, including building your muscles. “The built-in resistance that water provides helps build muscles and makes you stronger. And because water is more resistant than air, swimming does this faster than land workouts like running and biking.”

She Lifts Weights

Charis shared some of her favorite workouts in this TikTok. In it, she is seen doing a lot of workouts with weights. According to ACE Fitness, using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Does Glutes Bridges

Charis is also seen doing glute bridges in her TikTok. NASM states that this exercise has a lot of benefits. “Glute bridges are a useful exercise for building core stability, building glute strength, and improving overall exercise form and function. When performed as a stabilization exercise, glute bridges activate the glutes to function as they are supposed to in other movements like squats, deadlifts, walking, and running. Adding weight progresses glute bridges into a strength exercise, which can build strength in the glute muscles. By increasing glute activation and strengthening the glutes, not only will your form get better in other exercises, but you might also gain the added benefit of reduced low back pain in your everyday life.”

She Does Lunges

Charis is also seen doing lunges with weights in her TikTok. Lunges are very beneficial. The Mayo Clinic reports, “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

The Cleveland Clinic says that squats are very beneficial. “Squats target and strengthen your thighs, hips and butt. Why does that matter? A strong lower body is important for athletes, yes, but not just for athletes. Your lower body fuels your ability to walk, run, jump … everything, re

In the previous Instagram story video, Tedeschi is seen using a weight to workout. She also shares a lot of videos in the highlight of herself using weights. ACE Fitness states that doing this has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Tedeschi likes to do Pilates to keep herself in shape. She shares a lot of videos in her Instagram story highlight of herself using a reformer. Better Health reports, “The health benefits of Pilates include: improved flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, particularly of your abdominal muscles, lower back, hips and buttocks (the ‘core muscles’ of your body), balanced muscular strength on both sides of your body, enhanced muscular control of your back and limbs, improved stabilisation of your spine.”

Tedeschi likes to do burpees to keep herself in shape. She shared this video in her Instagram story highlight of herself doing them. The Cleveland Clinic says that burpees have a lot of benefits. “From an aerobic standpoint, burpees put your ticker to the test. The exercise offers the breath-stealing effect of running in a very condensed timeframe.”

She Does Deadlifts

Tedeschi is seen doing deadlifts with a weight in this Instagram story. Deadlifts are very beneficial. ACE Fitness says, “The most important benefit of the RDL is that it teaches the proper movement and biomechanics of standing hip flexion and extension. This is the foundational movement for squatting, whether the movement is performed with a weight in the gym or while bending over to pick an object up from the floor.”

Rachel Platten is a very successful singer. She is known for songs like “Fight Song” and “Stand By You.” Recently, Platten announced on Instagram that she will be going on tour this year. She captioned a post, “I cannot wait to see your faces and hug you and cry together and feel our feelings and connect and saaaang!! Tickets go on sale this Monday. But if you’re signed up for my email list then you’ll get an email giving you early access TODAY. See you soon my friends.”

She Opened Up About Her Struggles

After having her first child, Platten opened up about her struggles on Instagram. She tells TODAY that she received a lot of support from others after doing this. "I get flooded with comments from other women and men saying that it's OK, and I'm not alone, I'm not doing a bad job," she said. “It's making me feel not isolated. I could have gone down a road of this being a much darker experience had I not learned early on to be vulnerable and vocalize what I'm going through. That's been a really big life raft for me.”

She’s Comfortable With Her Weight

On her Instagram, Platten revealed that she is not putting pressure on herself to lose pregnancy weight, as she is comfortable with herself. “I am not less worthy of love just because I can’t seem to lose those last 5 or 10 pounds of ‘baby weight.’ I’ve tried it ALL and my body is begging for my acceptance. I am stronger than ever, I am so healthy, I can dance and lift weight and carry my girls and move and live a full beautiful life and am honestly sick of trying to keep shrinking myself back to pre-baby weight. F— it.”

She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Platten shared some of her skincare secrets with Health Insight. “I apply face masks regularly — twice a week or more — and often go to sleep with a thin layer of a hydrating mask instead of a moisturizer. I also have a five-step routine (cleansing, toning, using a serum, moisturizing, and using sunscreen) that I do every morning and night no matter what. It’s a form of meditation for me and reminds me that even when I’m crazy busy there’s always time to breathe and love on myself a little.”

She’s Consistent With Wellness

Platten makes sure to stay consistent with her wellness routine. She shared her secrets with Health Insight. “In addition to my daily routine, I get regular facials (or give myself mini facials when I don’t have time), drink a crazy amount of water, eat healthy foods, and wear hats almost every time I’m in the sun. As cheesy as it might sound, I really do love taking care of my skin and I put a lot of effort into maintaining it.”

She Gives Back

Platten is a big believer in giving back to others. “I think we can remember how powerful we are by giving — giving compliments, our time to charities, and random acts of kindness,” she told Health Insight. “We can feel sad and powerless when we only focus on what we don’t have or don’t want, but we can easily shift this by switching that focus to what we have to offer! In my opinion, nothing is more beautiful or attractive than a woman who knows her worth and power.”
