1. CrossFit and Pilates
Sait enjoys working out, and keeps it interesting by trying new things. “Fitness for me is feeling good inside out,” she says. “Over the years, I’ve tried everything from boot camps, to fancy gymnasiums, CrossFit, and Pilates. I love Urmi (my coach) for giving me a mixed bag of workouts through the week. I keep trying new workouts! There is so much variety that you realize that you’ve never really done enough. There is so much to learn in stretching. It surprises my body and me, all the time.”
2. Yoga All Day
Sait loves yoga sessions, and frequently shares videos of herself practicing like a pro. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts,” say the experts at Johns Hopkins Medicine. “Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”
3. No Dieting
Sait is not a fan of diets, but makes sensible choices about nutrition and portion size. “I don’t follow any particular diet. I just listen to my body,” she says. “If I feel partially full, I stop eating. But, I am not really fussy about the food that is on the table. I eat almost everything. My breakfast is the heaviest meal of the day. I am not calorie conscious but colas are a strict no-no. And, if I have to go for a party or a social gathering, I try to eat at home before I step out.”
4. Sunblock Every Day
Sait protects her beautiful skin from the sun by using sunblock. “I drink a lot of water and use a sunblock without fail,” she says. “It acts like a shield for your skin. I apply a moisturizer to my body and face regularly. I make it a point to visit my dermatologist once a month.”
5. Collagen Supplements
Sait takes collagen supplements to help support hair health. “I go for a hair spa at least once a fortnight as my hair gets rough and dry because of products and heat,” she says. “I also take collagen supplements, once a day. On my bad hair days, I tie my hair up in a bun.”
