She says that she decided to use a meal plan to help keep her on track. “I’ve put myself on a meal plan to focus on that. I have the meals delivered to me, so it takes out the prep work. "Dancing can give you more than traditional cardio," Fabio Comana, an exercise physiologist and education team member for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, told HuffPost. "If exercise is not an enjoyable experience, we're not going to do it. People think, 'I'm not exercising, I'm dancing'. But at the end of the day, you're moving and you're burning calories. Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
