1. She Started Her Own Fitness Website
Laura started her own health, fitness, and lifestyle website, So-LA with her trainer Louise Carlsson since so many of her fans wanted to know all about her diet and workout secrets. On it, she reveals a lot of tips and tricks and also offers paid access to the exact training plan responsible for her fabulous figure.
2. Resistance Training Is Her Go-To Workout
“Since training with Louise, I’ve become a big fan of resistance training as part of my quest to become more toned,” Laura explains on her website. “Resistance training is an excellent way to round out your workouts if you already do cardio. It helps you build strength, improve tone, and even preserve muscle as you lose weight. It will also help you feel good about yourself and your physique,” she continued. “No matter the resistance exercises you choose, ensure that you stay consistent but vary the routine. Failing to vary the workouts and resistance means that you are not getting the full benefits. Try different things to vary your workouts and you will definitely be pleased with the results.”

4. Hiring a Personal Trainer Was a Game Changer for Her
In one of her blogs, Laura revealed that prior to training with Louise, she would “rather drink wine and sit and watch tv. Sorry to begin so bluntly but it WAS true. I'm a changed woman what can I say,” she explained. “I now genuinely love and need to get my sweat on. Not just because of the endorphins afterwards but because I have a goal. I want to change my body and increase muscle. Obviously, it helps as my PT is super sweet, educated and fit to look at haha (she's a girl) but it’s just finding that motivation.” If you can afford it, she suggests you should hire a personal trainer. “SHE is my motivation and I’ve just never had that before. So from that I would suggest if you're a woman and can afford a PT then however weird it may sound look for a fit female PT that you’ll trust more as you admire her body type. The same goes for a man, try a male personal trainer who’s physique looks like your end game.”
5. She Suggests Surrounding Yourself with “Like-Minded People”
If you want to get into shape, Laura suggests surrounding yourself by people with the same objectives. “It's also true that surrounding yourself with like-minded people helps to achieve your goals. Don’t be afraid to make new friends at the gym, as in the most positive way, sometimes our comfort zones with our friends can hold us back. I don’t know about you but I’m so easily influenced. Pizza night or gym? I'd do whatever my friend said, food for thought. Excuse the pun!” she said.
6. She Reminds That Self-Love Is An Inside Job
“I think it’s so important to remember without getting too sentimental that life is a gift and we're lucky to be here,” Laura writes in a recent post. “Most of us are healthy with a million opportunities to grow and be who we want to be if we choose to take a few chances along the way. It saddens me that as a society we put so much emphasis on looks. Vanity is dangerous territory in my opinion as I believe if you rely on your appearance and it suddenly changes you will break as a person. To succeed in life we need to be strong and strength comes from character. Beauty will always shine through and what is within you, will always win in every situation. Work on your inner self first, make it your priority to learn, be more patient, understanding and tough before stressing or comparing your exterior. Everything will fall into place. Remember the most important relationship you have is with yourself and it's not about that mirror and what’s staring back at you, it’s about the conversation you’re having in your mind because that's what gets you through your day and controls your emotions. We are all beautiful and we are meant to be different.”
