She Works With A Trainer
Pons recently lost a lot of weight, and her fans want to know her secrets. She revealed in this Instagram post that she had been working with a trainer for a couple of months. Pons says that her trainer helped her workout, but also helped her eat better, and that the methods are paying off. "RESULTS, more than 2 months of hardcore workouts and diet with @dianamaux! Feeling great, love you Diana!"
She's Open About Her Mental Health
Pons is open about her struggles with her mental health, including OCD and Tourettes. She says in E!'s One To Watch series that she wants to educate and encourage people ot get help for their mental health. "I am very, very grateful to have helped a lot of people, grateful to have had the chance to educate people who don't know what OCD and Tourette's are," Pons said. "It's very important to actually also push people to get better, take their medicine, go to get help, go to get a good support system, to help parents understand their kids have whatever they have, help to understand that it is not something that's going to define you. It's not something you should be ashamed about. And I wanted to show that to everybody."
She Believes In Herself
Pons told E! that she is a lot more confident in herself that she was when she was younger."I haven't believed so much in myself like I do now, and I wish I did when I was younger, because I would have had a thicker skin." Pons also encourages others to find confidence in themselves, and not let people tear them down. "Don't let anybody change you or make you feel like you're not worth it. Don't let anybody mentally abuse you, as well. Believe in yourself, love yourself."
She Helps Her Country
Pons is from Venezuela, and she is committed to helping with the country's struggles and problems. She tells E!, "It actually affects me like what's going on in Venezuela. So what I'm going to do is just do things. You know what? My way. Behind the scenes. I think it's more effective and makes me happier. For me, it's a responsibility to bring awareness, to make it better, and putting light into the situation. I think that's what I feel."
She Takes Time For Herself
Pons opened up about her health journey on Good Morning America. She says that exercise has not just helped her lose weight, but also helps her take time for herself. "Ever since I've done exercises I feel more I have more energy, I'm more happy, I have distracted myself, I'm doing something for me—which is the exercises are for me, nobody else and I just feel healthier. If it is not exercises, it can be a hobby, anything that you want, cooking, watching old movies."
