Lisa Haydon is making a splash on social media this week, showing off her figure in a swimsuit she’s owned for a decade-and-a-half. The Indian actress shared a photo and video of herself in the metallic swimwear. “Bought this swimsuit when I was 19…. Slurrrp,” she captioned the image. How does the 35-year-old keep herself in such fabulous physical form? Read on to see 7 ways Lisa Haydon stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Her Mom Introduced Her to Exercise

Lisa, who was teased for being too skinny in her younger years, started working out in her teens with the help of her mom. “All credit to my mother who, despite having to look after eight children, always made time for exercise. She’d work out to Jane Fonda and later Kathy Smith and Cindy Crawford in between managing us. I soon joined her, as I loved aerobics and its accompanying music and the gorgeous swimsuits these women wore, showing off their super-fit legs that I desperately wanted. Then at 17, when I hit adolescence, I took to running for both the adrenaline rush and to blow off steam. I started with 10 rounds, then 20, and before I knew it I was running in professional marathons,” she told Vogue India.

2. She Doesn’t Diet

Lisa revealed to Vogue that she dabbled with dieting once, but it didn’t work. “During my years in mid-west America, I had gained a lot of weight. I was eating a lot of country food like fried chicken biscuit. For someone who has always been skinny, and even bullied because of it, I wasn’t used to all the weight and was looking for a quick fix. My sister convinced me to try Atkins…I lasted for all of three days!” she said. Instead, she eats a healthy, balanced diet. “Today I ate fruits and eggs for breakfast and now I’ll have a chicken salad for lunch. I don’t think of it as a 'diet'; that’s just how it is. Having said that, very often I’ll replace my dinner with dessert—pancakes are a favorite—and I love cheese!”

3. She Does Yoga

Entertainment India 2010Prodip Guha/Getty Images

Lisa loves yoga. “I discovered yoga in Sydney during my ‘chubby’ phase at this school on the beach that taught ashtanga-hatha flow. I gradually moved towards ashtanga, going beyond the primary level, which is a feat in itself, and even did an internship as I thought I wanted to become a yoga teacher. But I was way too wild then to lead such a disciplined life. Today, yoga for me is an ancient Indian practice I find very useful, especially the breathing techniques. It’ll always be a part of my fitness regimen,” she told Vogue.

4. She Drinks Green Juice

The Asian Awards 2019Dave Benett/Getty Images

Lisa all about green juice. “It’s the only way I manage to consume greens, and I think the vitamins you get from this food group are extremely important. While I do end up taking a lot of supplements (fish oil, folic acid, zinc, iron, D3, B12—all twice a day), I strongly believe the best way to get nutrition is from actual, fresh food,” she told Vogue.

5. Working Out Is Her Lifestyle

Nirav Modi Gala Dinner At La Biennale Paris In ParisStephane Cardinale - Corbis/Corbis via Getty Images

Lisa doesn’t view exercise as a chore, but instead a lifestyle, which involves waking up early to get her sweat on. “This is the only way I can be consistent—by 9am I’m ready to go about my day as needed. So I do Pilates at Namrata and Samir Purohit’s Pilates & Altitude Training Studio thrice a week, run at the race course the other two days, do yoga at home once a week and give myself a break one day. I don’t work out for a shoot or a movie. For me, it’s a lifestyle. That one hour a day really pumps me up. I exercise because it makes me feel good… looking good as a result is an added bonus,” she told Vogue.

6. She Worked Out Through Her Pregnancy

Lisa didn’t stop working out during her pregnancy. “The first trimester I did nothing. I think with the first baby one is always more cautious. Plus I was working and filming until I was 5 months pregnant, so I had no energy to work out after the shoot. In my second trimester, I did Ballet Beautiful workout — you can find them on YouTube. They are mostly all floor exercises. I can’t do much for core toning, so keeping my bum and arms toned has been the focus. Around 6 months in, I started to mix up the Ballet Beautiful workouts with high resistance cross training for 20 mins, as well as SLT machine Pilates. Now in the final trimester, I’m probably working out four times a week as opposed to six — that’s all the energy I have,” she told Elle.

7. She Cheats

Two,Pieces,Of,Toast,With,Peanut,Butter,And,Honey,SpreadShutterstock

Lisa is all about cheat meals. When asked by Elle, she revealed that Chocolate is her go-to. “Something’s never change. Peanut butter has also been a big feature recently. I like to have chocolate granola for breakfast with whole milk and a big spoon of peanut butter in it. Or gluten-free bread with peanut butter and honey,” she added.

1. She Jet Skis

Yailin, who spends a lot of time at the beach, loves to jet ski. The sport surprisingly helps you stay in shape. According to Health Fitness Revolution, the average 150-pound rider will burn a surprising 238 calories during a half-hour ride. The sport is also great for cardiovascular endurance.

2. She Has a Diet and Workout Buddy

After Anuel AA lost a ton of weight, Yailin explained in an Instagram Live interview that the two were dieting and exercising together. Anuel wanted “to be skinny” because he thinks he “looks younger that way,” she said. “We're going to the gym too," she added.

3. She Went Under the Knife

Yailin’s body isn’t 100 percent natural. She recently underwent liposuction with Dr. Nathaly Bello, a member of the Dominican Society of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, who gave fans a glimpse of her surgery on social media. She explained that she worked on the abdomen area and removed fat to define the figure. "Because cosmetic surgery can bring lasting and dramatic changes to your outside appearance, it is important to understand how these changes might affect you on the inside. Before making an appointment to see a cosmetic surgeon, consider your motives for wanting to change how you look," says the Mayo Clinic.

4. She Swims

Living by the ocean, she can often find Yailin swimming, a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Spending just two and a half hours per week swimming laps can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.

5. She Is Embracing Her Pregnancy

In a recent post, Yailin shared gratitude about her pregnancy. “I always told God to give me a family but from the man I loved truly Thank you my God for giving me what I always asked I feel Super happy the happiest woman in the world 👨 👩 👧 I do not know how to thank you for this happiness I am without Tend now same I have no words here you daddy and I made you with a lot of love we are waiting for your arrival my fatty I love you,” she captioned it.

1. She Doesn’t Overthink Food

“I think I got in such a rut of being like, ‘I need to be really healthy and eat really good’ and now I’m just like, ‘If I eat a burger, I eat a burger’, I’m okay with it,” she explained on Lorraine. “When trying to lose weight, you might limit calories too much, eat the same foods repeatedly and banish treats. This may just serve to increase your food cravings, especially in response to emotions. Eat satisfying amounts of healthier foods, enjoy an occasional treat and get plenty of variety to help curb cravings,” says the Mayo Clinic.

2. She’s Tried Yoga

The MEN Pride Of Manchester Awards 2022 - ArrivalsKarwai Tang/WireImage

“Me and my lil sushi roll are practicing some serious self love this weekend! And we’re kicking that off with a bit of yoga in the kitchen,” she captioned a photo of her and her dog. “Yoga is as good as basic stretching for easing pain and improving mobility in people with lower back pain. The American College of Physicians recommends yoga as a first-line treatment for chronic low back pain,” says Johns Hopkins. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

3. Dogs are Great for Mental Health

“Pets can reduce work-related stress. Two out of three employees say work stresses them out and 40% say their job gets in the way of their health. Studies show that pets in the workplace help reduce stress and improve employee satisfaction,” says the American Heart Association. “Pets can help increase productivity, wherever you work. When a dog joins a virtual meeting, group members rank their teammates higher on trust, team cohesion and camaraderie.”

4. She Loves the Beach

Fallon is frequently caught in a swimsuit, and by the water. “Just lufal enjoying some hometown seaside joy 🦭,” she captioned one shot of her under blue skies by the water. “There are three main factors that can inhibit a person’s sleep: stress, not being physically tired, and imbalances in hormones. The beach can help to relieve stress, regulate hormones, and give you the daily dose of exercise you need to feel tired,” says the University of New Hampshire. “Spending as little time as 10 minutes in the sun, you can absorb an entire day’s worth of vitamin D! The extra vitamin D you absorb throughout your day at the beach will be stored in your body to be used later.”

5. She Gets Her Heart Pumping in All Weather

“Pls swipe to see a few crazy kids having the time of their livvvessssss! ⛄️ 🛷 ☠️ x,” she once captioned a photo of her and her pals sledding. "In the colder weather months, I think staying active can be as simple as in the warmer months, but you sometimes need to do a little more preparation for it," said the Cleveland Clinic. "Even though it might be snowing, it could also be very sunny outside. And there's a big sun glare coming off of the white snow. So you can actually get sunburn and wind burned in the winter and doing activities outside. So not only do you need to worry about frostbite, but also that as well."

1. She Speaks Up For Herself

Despite being a model, Mir has been subjected to a lot of criticism on social media. Mir has had to deal with comments on her body. However, she isn’t afraid to call these people out, and did so in the caption of her recent Instagram post. “Under my last reel, a lot of you paid a lot of attention especially to a body part: my butt. For everyone in the comments asking where he is, here he is. And for those who asked what's wrong with him, what kind of question is this? 🤣 We’re talking body positivity, body acceptance, feeling good in your own body, being allowed to be yourself, more Instagram reality, and more. At the same time, my body will be in hundreds of comments (also from women, female empowerment? ) evaluated, unjustly criticized and unfortunately also insulted. ‘Something wrong with your ass!’, I'd rather look at myself in the mirror, that wouldn't be nice - how can something be right about an ass or not? Who defines this? Can I read this up somewhere?”

2. She’s All About Self-Love

Mir is all about self-love and body acceptance. She also talked about this in the caption of her recent Instagram post. “Thankfully yes beauty is in the eye of beholder and I felt very comfortable in my skin especially this evening the video was taken and yes my butt is small but I'm absolutely pleased with myself and feel poodle good 😁 Shouldn't it be our goal?” Mir also encouraged others to have this same attitude. “For those who don’t feel comfortable in their own skin, do something about it. But please don’t criticize others for things that make them feel good about yourself.”

3. She Swims

Rayna Vallandingham is flashing her washboard abs – in a two-piece exercise set from Alo. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her impressive midsection during a workout at the gym. “dojang diaries,” she captioned the series of snaps. “Magnific! Very very beautiful,” commented one of her followers. “♥️More like diaries of a hottie♥️” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Be Consistent

Consistency – at the gym and the martial arts studio – is the key to success. "It is a way of life," Rayna says. "It's not only teaching your body movements and being in synchronicity with your body, but also just like the mental aspect of it."

Fight Your Way to a Hot Body

Rayna is a big fan of martial arts. She has been doing taekwondo since she was 2, earning her first black belt at 6. "In the very beginning, my parents put me in the sport because I was just really shy, and I think they could tell that I needed something," says Vallandingham, who lives and trains in Los Angeles. "Immediately, I just loved it. I felt at home, and every single day, instead of watching Dora, I wanted to go to the dojo,” she told Well + Good. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function, psychological health, weight loss, and physical fitness.

Work on Strength and Flexibility

Rayna recommends prioritizing strength, flexibility, and power. "Of the three, I think strength and flexibility are the top two," Vallandingham says. "We used to have people stand on my legs and force my knees to come down in butterfly stretch," she says. "I have permanent damage to my body—I have tendonitis [because of this]."

Lift Weights

If you want a strong, lean body like Vallandingham, you must lift for it. The star strength trains, focusing on supersets, doing two moves back-to-back that target the same muscle groups to double down on their gains. One of her favorite exercises is a goblet squat. She stands with her feet shoulder-width apart, folded forward until she can slide her palms underneath her soles (you could also hold your ankles or calves), then bends her knees, lowering her butt toward the floor while lifting her chest, coming into a deep squat. She'll bend and extend her legs several times in this position. Then, it's on to the main event, holding a weight in her hands while bending down into a deep squat. "I love utilizing a Bosu ball—they're pretty much in every single gym," she adds.

Stretch

Rayna never skips stretching. She starts by by lying on the floor with her legs up the wall and then allowing them to open out into a side split. "I let gravity do its work because that's my body telling me, okay, this is where we're at," she says. "My hips are opening on their own, and I'm not having to force anything." “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Charli Hawkins is training in the snow – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the Olympian shows off her fantastic figure – including her flat abs – in an exercise set while enjoying the winter weather. “TRAINING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND! ❄️🥶❤️✨Gearing up in this altitude for the LONDON MARATHON this April! I’m so excited to see what my mind and body can make happen! To my marathon runners: it’s your time to shine, PLEASE tell me ALL of your tips, all of your advice, and for all of you who understand what I’m about to attempt, please send your words of encouragement 😂 Also feel free to try to talk me out of this as well thanks👍 We are on the training countdown. Turning a sprinter, jumper, and thrower into a long distance runner 🫣🙌 What do you think my time will be?” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Minfulness and Meditation

Charli practices mindfulness. Before going for a run, she says words of intention. “I am willing. I am grateful. I surrender,” she revealed during an interview with San Diego Magazine. Meditation:

“When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Stretching

She also makes sure to stretch. “If you ever can think of some dynamic stretches: F.A.S.T. ✨🙌 My left hip and right QLs have been SO tight lately so I’m on a journey of getting them right! What’s bugging you at the moment???” she captioned a post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Here Is The Right Way To Run

During her interview with San Diego, Charli explained how you should be running. “Remember, the sole of the foot is showing right in front of us,” she said, doing a type of high-knee movement. “To do this, you’re over exaggerating your running form while standing still. Raise your knee up, point your toes to the clouds (forming an A), and then pedal the sole of your foot forward before striking your knee down. It’s more complicated than it sounds after 30-plus years of moving a certain way,” the writer explained.

Positive Attitude

In a recent post Charli revealed things she learned about positivity. “Patience is easier when it isn’t required,” she said. “The people around you are BLESSINGS (which I feel like I already understood but sometimes it’s nice to have it emphasized).” Also, “We are up, we are down, but trusting the process sometimes means knowing that it’s all good even when it’s not the best” and “Making a plan is the best option for everything. It’s ok if the plan doesn’t go perfect, but just willy-nilly-ing it is not the best option when you want to get things done.”

Never Giving Up

Charli refuses to give up. “Understand what you want first, and then go for it. Then keep going for it all the time, and, eventually, you’ll get it,” she said during her interview.
