Don't Drink Alcohol
When Lucie wants to slim down, she puts down the bottle. During Love Island Unseen Bits, she revealed that hadn't "had a drink since New Years Eve," which translated to a six month break. Why? Alcohol has "empty calories," meaning they add calories with no nutritional benefit. "Heavy or high-risk drinking is defined as more than three drinks on any day or more than seven drinks a week for women and for men older than age 65, and more than four drinks on any day or more than 14 drinks a week for men age 65 and younger," explains the Mayo Clinic.
Work Out with a Trainer
When Donlan wanted to lose all the weight she gained during Love Island, she enlisted the help of a professional. "I've been training with @kapowhealthyliving over a year now," she wrote in a 2017 post. "The first picture is when I first started, and the last one is where I am now. In just over a year I have lost around about 2 stone, and I have now reached the perfect weight for me…for #mondaymotivation this is achievable through healthy eating and regular exercise!"
Do CrossFit
Luci is also a fan of CrossFit workouts, revealing that she does "lots of" the HIIT style workout with her trainer at home. The branded method involves constantly varied functional movements done at high intensity.
Surf and Skateboard
One of the main sweat methods that Lucie relies on is surfing. "I'm lucky because I surf, but yeah I'm juggling that with going to the gym," she once admitted during an interview. She also loves to skateboard. Both sports are great for improving balance and working your core and leg muscles.
Do Yoga
Lucie is also a yogi. She even hosts a "surf themed yoga workout" on her Instagram account. Not only is yoga great for toning the body and building muscle, there are also lots of mental health benefits as well. "Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical poses, controlled breathing, and meditation or relaxation. Yoga may help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and lower your heart rate," says the Mayo Clinic.
