Avoid Alcohol

When Lucie wants to lose weight, alcohol is one of the first things she ditches from her diet. During Love Island Unseen Bits she revealed that she hadn't "had a drink since New Year's Eve," translating to six months. Why is this a good idea? Per the Mayo Clinic alcohol has "empty calories," meaning they add calories with no nutritional benefit. "Heavy or high-risk drinking is defined as more than three drinks on any day or more than seven drinks a week for women and for men older than age 65, and more than four drinks on any day or more than 14 drinks a week for men age 65 and younger," they say.

Donlan enlists the help of a professional when she needs to get in great shape. "I've been training with @kapowhealthyliving over a year now," she wrote in a 2017 post. "The first picture is when I first started, and the last one is where I am now. In just over a year I have lost around about 2 stone, and I have now reached the perfect weight for me…for #mondaymotivation this is achievable through healthy eating and regular exercise!"

Find Outdoor Activities You Love

Lucie maintains an active lifestyle and stays fit with the help of two of her favorite activities, surfing and skateboarding, both which are great for blasting calories, improving balance, and working the core and leg muscles. "I'm lucky because I surf, but yeah I'm juggling that with going to the gym," she once admitted during an interview.

Do Yoga

Lucie also loves yoga. She even hosts a "surf themed yoga workout" on her Instagram account. Per the Mayo Clinic, yoga is a great workout for toning the body and building muscle and mental health. "Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical poses, controlled breathing, and meditation or relaxation. Yoga may help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and lower your heart rate," they say.
