1. She Exercises

Lucy is driven to exercise for the mental health benefits. “I think the more things you try and the more active you become, the more confident and comfortable you become with yourself,” she explained to People about her motivation to sweat. “I’m much happier, my mood is better when I’m consistently working out. I’m just one of those weirdos who likes working out. I really enjoy it.”

2. She Does Various Workouts

LUCY-HALELucy Hale/Instagram

Lucy maintains variety with exercise, by doing one-on-one sessions with a trainer and also taking classes. “[My trainer’s] the one who’s forcing me to try pull-ups, so every couple of days we’ll try to do more,” she told People. “But I also like group fitness. I think that’s a way you can see your friends and break a sweat but still have a good time. I do things like Soul Cycle and Training Mate. I love to hike.”

3. She Maintains a “Pescatarian Lifestyle”

“I mainly follow a pescatarian diet,” Lucy explained to People about how she eats. “I don’t even like to say diet, just a pescatarian lifestyle. I don’t do dairy and I try to cut back on processed stuff. I typically like to prepare all my food so I know what I’m getting.”

4. She Indulges on Occasion

Lucy eats healthy the majority of the time, but at restaurants allows herself to cheat. “I love going out to eat. I’m not going to say no to French fries or pasta if it’s there. I just try to eat in moderation,” she dished to People.

5. She Is a Breakfast Person

"I think about breakfast all the time," Lucy revealed to Harper’s Bazaar. "I like all the meals, but I think breakfast is definitely my favorite. But my breakfast can vary from a peanut butter, Perfect food bar to chocolate chip pancakes, with bacon and eggs. Just kind of depends on the day."

6. She Loves Strength Training

"I do a lot of strength training because I like to feel strong,” she revealed to Shape. I'm 5-foot-2, but I like to feel like a badass and to know that I could kick someone's ass. So I do pull-ups and do squats with the big-boy weights. I even flipped one of those big tires once. And I just discovered Pilates. My butt has never been higher, and my abs have never been stronger. Our bodies are so amazing and resilient, and we don't give them enough credit. I spent much of my teen years and early 20s not loving my body and not being good to it. I'm trying to make up for that because we get only one body. We have to take care of our temple."

7. She Is All About “Intuitive Eating”

Lucy has an interesting approach to diet. “I call it intuitive eating,” she told Shape about how she eats. “If I'm craving chicken, I'll have chicken. If my body is saying, 'Don't reach for the doughnut,' I don't reach for the doughnut. If my body is saying, 'You deserve a doughnut,' then I'll do it. But I'll never give up coffee. I'll never give up my lattes or bread. There was a phase in my life when I didn't eat bread. What the hell was I thinking?"

Lucy Hale first started out as a singer, and competed on the show American Juniors. Hale then started acting, and became best-known for her role on the teen drama Pretty Little Liars. She recently took a trip to Bali, and shared some highlights on Instagram. In one photo, Hale waded in a river in a white swimsuit. She captioned the post, “Wow. Incredibly thankful to spend time in Bali in an effort to keep learning, healing, and growing. I am so grateful to @kuammalu & all the wonderful people I met who shared their time and energy with me.” Read on to see 5 ways Lucy Hale stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Scaled Back Her Skincare Routine

Hale makes sure to take care of her skin. She revealed some of her secrets to WhoWhatWear. Hale says that she has had to scale back on a few things. “I love trying new things, and I’m a sucker for everything. But I’ve realized as I’ve gotten older that my skin just can’t handle too much, and I’ve had to really cut back. I mean, I used to be the girl who had a 15-step skincare routine every single night. My whole approach to skincare now is really about consistency and less about the number of products I’m using.”

2. She Cleanses Twice

Hale tells WhoWhatWear that she makes sure to cleanse her skin. In fact, she does this twice a day. “I’m all about double-cleansing. It’s shocking how much stuff is left behind on your face when you just cleanse once [laughs], so I use a gel cleanser first, and that kind of grips everything and pulls everything out from the skin, and then I’ll do a milky, more moisturizing cleanser after that so I’m not overdrying or stripping my skin.”

3. She Loves Face Masks

Hale tells WhoWhatWear that she likes to use face masks. “If I have time, and if I have a whole evening, I’ll multi-mask. I’ll do a purifying mask. I’ll maybe do some microcurrent with my little NuFace device, which is amazing.” Hale also revealed some of her favorite masks in her interview. “I love the ones from 111Skin—they’re bio-cellulose—which is a little more grippy—instead of paper, so they stay on your skin better, and it feels like the ingredients just soak in more. They make a couple of different ones that I really like.”

4. She Loves SoulCycle

Hale tells Byrdie that she likes exercises that help reduce stress. She cites SoulCycle in particular. "It's amazing. Emotionally, there are a couple of teachers that have made me cry. I think it's really important to take care of your mind."

5. She Loves Retinol

Some of Hale’s favorite skincare products are ones that have retinol in them. “Retinol has been the biggest game-changing product for me,” she says to Marie Claire. “But you’ve got to be consistent with it, even when your skin flakes at first…“I’m really breakout-prone, and retinol keeps my skin really clear, because it helps speed up cell turnover to prevent build-up in your pores.”

Hale opened up about her wellness routine in an interview with Shape. In it, she talked about how she developed her confidence. "For much of my life, I thought I had to be cute and sit there. That's so boring. I've developed more confidence because I realize I'm more than the way I look. One day, I was like, ‘Wait, I'm a good person. I work really hard. I've been given gifts. I'm smart. I can have good conversations.’"

2. She’s Reduced Her Skincare

Hale has amazing skin, and it is important for her to take care of it. She tells Shape that she has simplified her routine. “For my skin care, I've had to simplify it. The older I get, the more sensitive my skin is — which was so devastating to me because I'm a beauty products hoarder. I love a 20-step skin-care routine, but I can't do it anymore because my skin goes absolutely bananas. Now my morning routine is a gentle cleanser and a toner, and then I mix my vitamin C drops into my moisturizer. And then sunscreen."

3. She Strength Trains

Hale shared some of her favorite workouts in her Shape interview. "I do a lot of strength training,” she says, “Because I like to feel strong. 4. She Intuitively Eats

Hale opened up about her diet to Shape. She says that she calls her approach to eating intuitive eating. “I like eating,” Hale says. “I find that sticking to a strict diet messes with my head and makes me obsess. I call it intuitive eating. If I'm craving chicken, I'll have chicken. 5. She Works Out Every Day

Hale makes sure to workout every day, even if it’s only for a bit. "I'm one of the weirdos in the world that genuinely likes working out, not from a physical perspective, more from a mental aspect,” she tells Beauty Crew. “It's a daily part of what I do. I work with a trainer and that will be an hour-long session, or I'll do 45-minute spin classes or Pilates classes. It's not a crazy amount, just a little bit every day."

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas
