1. Make Fitness a Priority

Lucy gets her sweat on. “I think the more things you try and the more active you become, the more confident and comfortable you become with yourself,” she told People. “I’m much happier, my mood is better when I’m consistently working out. I’m just one of those weirdos who likes working out. I really enjoy it.”

2. Strength Train

"I do a lot of strength training because I like to feel strong,” Lucy told Shape. “I'm 5-foot-2, but I like to feel like a badass and to know that I could kick someone's ass. So I do pull-ups and do squats with the big-boy weights. I even flipped one of those big tires once.”

3. Do Pilates

Lucy also loves Pilates. “My butt has never been higher, and my abs have never been stronger. Our bodies are so amazing and resilient, and we don't give them enough credit. I spent much of my teen years and early 20s not loving my body and not being good to it. I'm trying to make up for that because we get only one body. We have to take care of our temple,” she told Shape.

4. Work Out with Others

Lucy works out with a trainer, but also loves group fitness. “[My trainer’s] the one who’s forcing me to try pull-ups, so every couple of days we’ll try to do more,” she told People. “But I also like group fitness. I think that’s a way you can see your friends and break a sweat but still have a good time. I do things like Soul Cycle and Training Mate. I love to hike.”

5. Eat Fish

Lucy is a big fish eater. “I mainly follow a pescatarian diet,” Lucy dished to People. “I don’t even like to say diet, just a pescatarian lifestyle. I don’t do dairy and I try to cut back on processed stuff. I typically like to prepare all my food so I know what I’m getting.”

6. Cheat

Lucy is all about the occasional cheat meal. “I love going out to eat. I’m not going to say no to French fries or pasta if it’s there. I just try to eat in moderation,” she dished to People.

7. Eat Breakfast

"I think about breakfast all the time," Lucy confessed to Harper’s Bazaar. "I like all the meals, but I think breakfast is definitely my favorite. But my breakfast can vary from a peanut butter, Perfect food bar to chocolate chip pancakes, with bacon and eggs. Just kind of depends on the day."

8. Eat Intuitively

LucyHaleLucy Hale/Instagram

Lucy practices “intuitive eating,” she told Shape. “If I'm craving chicken, I'll have chicken. If my body is saying, 'Don't reach for the doughnut,' I don't reach for the doughnut. If my body is saying, 'You deserve a doughnut,' then I'll do it. But I'll never give up coffee. I'll never give up my lattes or bread. There was a phase in my life when I didn't eat bread. What the hell was I thinking?"

Lucy Hale is an actress and singer. She’s best known for her role as Aria Montgomery on the ABC Family/Freeform drama series, Pretty Little Liars. Her other roles include Katy Keane and A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song. Hale recently hit the gym with some friends. She shared a photo of the group on her Instagram story. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Lucy Hale stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Eats Healthy

Hale shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with People. She makes sure to eat healthy. “I mainly follow a pescatarian diet,” Hale says. “I don’t even like to say diet, just a pescatarian lifestyle. I don’t do dairy and I try to cut back on processed stuff. I typically like to prepare all my food so I know what I’m getting.”

2. She Knows What Works For Her Skin

Hale shared her skincare secrets in an interview with Glamour. She says that she made sure to do research on what works best for her skin. “I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to use the products that people with dry skin would use,” she says. “I wanted to use everything, so I’d just use all the products, not knowing I was going to have a reaction. Now I know I have combination skin, which is oily in some parts and dry in some parts, and that’s what leads to the breakouts.”

3. She Has A Simple Skincare Routine

For Hale, simplicity is best when it comes to her skincare routine. “I used to have a 20-step skin-care routine, and I loved that,” she told Glamour. “But now, simple and consistent is the way to go. I have a very, very, very simple routine. It’s just about letting my skin breathe when I can. I used to think because I would break out that I shouldn’t add more moisture, but when your skin’s dry, it’s going to try to take care of you and produce more oil, and that’s what leads to breakouts.”

4. She Uses Hyaluronic Acid

Liquid,Pipette,Serum,Pink,Gel,On,Light,Berry,Colored,MirrorShutterstock

Hale shared some of her favorite skincare products with Glamour. “I love hyaluronic acid, always, always, always, but I didn’t realize it needs to be used on damp skin. Otherwise it doesn’t seep into the skin. Now I put it on right after the shower. With other products, I’ll avoid certain places. I put certain things here, certain things there. But with hyaluronic acid, I know that it’s good for my whole face.”

5. She Drinks A Wellness Powder

HaleLucy Hale/Instagram

Hale shared with Glamour that she likes to drink wellness powder. “I have a wellness powder that I have in the morning before anything else touches my stomach, before coffee or breakfast. It’s from ActivatedYou. My friend Maggie Q. actually started the line with a doctor. It’s a green powder with all the pro- and prebiotics that you need for the day. I also was not educated about gut health until recently. I don’t know why it never crossed my mind that what you’re putting in your stomach has a direct effect with your body, but it does. I’ve really noticed a difference in my skin. I used to get really clogged around here, like on my jawline, and since I started that in my morning routine, it’s really helped.”

Exercise For Mental Health

Lucy exercises mostly for her mental health. “I think the more things you try and the more active you become, the more confident and comfortable you become with yourself,” she told People. “I’m much happier, my mood is better when I’m consistently working out. I’m just one of those weirdos who likes working out. I really enjoy it.”

So I do pull-ups and do squats with the big-boy weights. I even flipped one of those big tires once.” Why should you lift weights? The Mayo Clinic explains that strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you develop strong bones, manage your weight, enhance your quality of life, manage chronic conditions, and sharpen your thinking skills.

Pilates

Lucy does Pilates. “My butt has never been higher, and my abs have never been stronger. Our bodies are so amazing and resilient, and we don't give them enough credit. Almost Vegetarian Diet

Lucy stays away from most animal products. “I mainly follow a pescatarian diet,” she told People. “I don’t even like to say diet, just a pescatarian lifestyle. I don’t do dairy and I try to cut back on processed stuff. I typically like to prepare all my food so I know what I’m getting.”

1. She Protects Her Face’s Natural Oils

American Valor: A Salute To Our HeroesPaul Morigi/Getty Images

Culpo revealed some of her wellness secrets to Net-A-Porter. She says that when it comes to skincare, she likes to keep her natural oils protected. “I don’t always wash my face in the morning as I like letting my natural oils do their thing, and I think face wash can make the skin quite dry. Instead, I always apply a super-hydrating moisturizer and drink a ton of water as soon as I wake up.”

2. She Keeps Her Morning Skincare Simple & Her Night Routine Varied

Culpo revealed some of her skincare secrets to Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning routine simple and her night routine more complex. “In the morning, I just apply an SPF. I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum ($90). In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

3. She Stopped Using Certain Products

Culpo revealed to Byrdie that she has cut some skin products out of her routine. “I am always making changes depending on where my skin is at. For example, I’ve recently stopped using retinol. Unfortunately, I love the sun so much and find it hard to completely protect my face from it. I’ve decided to forego some of those more intense facial products for more mild options, especially in the sunny summer months.”

4. She Stays Hydrated

Culpo makes sure to stay hydrated. She tells Nat-A-Porter that she makes sure to do this when she travels. “I double up my water intake by drinking lots and hydrate my skin topically. Flying is so dehydrating for the skin, so I always do a hydrating mask after landing. I also use SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and Caudalie Beauty Elixir during the flight to bring a little glow to the skin.”

5. She Eats Produce

Culpo tells Net-A-Porter that she makes sure to stay healthy. “I think it’s very important to get my greens in every day. I pick up fruit and vegetables from the farmers’ market on the weekends to juice throughout the week – it makes you feel so good, and using fresh ingredients makes all the difference. I also take supplements that boost my gut health and complexion.”

The actor, producer, and fitness enthusiast has built a reputation for his intense workouts and disciplined diet. In a recent TikTok, he gave fans a sneak peek at what’s fueling his muscle gains, from protein-packed meals to superfoods that keep him energized. He Eats Eggs

In his TikTok, Wahlberg is seen enjoying eggs with sausage. According to University Hospitals, eggs have a lot of health benefits. “At 70 calories each, eggs are a stellar protein source and a nutritional powerhouse. When eaten as part of a balanced diet, eggs provide multiple health benefits and are unlikely to pose a risk for heart disease.”

He Eats Salmon

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying salmon. The Mayo Clinic states that salmon has a lot of benefits. “Seafood in general, and salmon in particular, is a good choice for protein in the diet. If you can use salmon in place of a higher fat meat, that's even better. Salmon is probably best known for its omega-3 fatty acids. Called EPA and DHA, these fats may support heart health, brain function and healthy joints.”

He Likes Lemon Juice

Wahlberg is seen enjoying lemon juice in his TikTok. St. Vincent’s Medical Center states that lemon is very beneficial. “Weight-loss studies have also noted the effects of lemon. Drinking lemon water, which keeps you hydrated, increases your metabolism. One glass burns at least six calories. It can also help you feel full, making it easier to resist an urge to snack.”

He Likes Olive Oil

Another thing that Wahlberg is seen eating in his TikTok is olive oil. According to The Cleveland Clinic, olive oil has a lot of health benefits. “EVOO contains more than 20 types of polyphenols, a category of plant-based chemical compounds that help protect your heart and reduce inflammation throughout your body. Polyphenols are a type of antioxidant.”

He Gets Enough Protein

Protein is a big part of Wahlberg’s diet. He is not only seen eating high-protein foods like eggs and salmon in his TikTok, but he is also seen eating protein bars and powders. Piedmont states that protein is extremely important. “Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage and skin. In fact, your hair and nails are composed mostly of protein. Your body uses it to build and repair tissue.”

He Eats Blueberries

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying blueberries in his TikTok. The Cleveland Clinic states that blueberries have a lot of benefits. “Because blueberries are high in fiber and lower in sugar when compared to other fruits, they don’t cause your blood sugar to spike. For people with certain health conditions, scientists suspect this positive effect could aid with blood sugar management.”

Rita Ora isn’t just a chart-topping singer and TV star—she’s also serious about staying fit. Whether she’s lighting up the stage with hits like Black Widow or guessing contestants on The Masked Singer, Ora makes sure to carve out time for the gym. In a recent Instagram post captioned "Come to the gym with me," she gave fans an inside look at her workout routine, and it’s packed with powerhouse moves. From treadmill runs to Pilates, here’s exactly how she keeps her body in top shape.

She Strength Trains

Ora is seen using dumbbells and a weighted shoulder press machine in her Instagram video. Both of these are considered strength training exercises. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Runs On The Treadmill

Rita snaps a selfie on the treadmill

The first thing Ora does at the gym is run on the treadmill. Healthy Talbot states that this has a lot of benefits. “Jogging or running on a treadmill helps to lose weight as well as burn fat quickly and effectively. Yet it’s easier on your knees and joints than outdoor running. This is the most popular advantage of working out on a treadmill workouts. Besides, these workouts burn calories at a faster rate than other aerobic exercises. To burn calories even faster, you just need to run longer and faster on the machine.”

She Does Tricep Exercises

Rita Ora working her triceps

Ora is seen doing tricep curls in her Instagram video. Gymless says that all tricep workouts have a lot of benefits. “Our triceps muscles enable us to extend the elbows, and it is a powerful extender of the forearm. Triceps are often used for pushing, which is utilized in our everyday activities such as opening a door, inserting a plug into a socket, or moving furniture across the room.“

She Does Leg Presses

Ora is also seen using the leg press machine in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic says that this exercise is very beneficial. “The leg press is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work a variety of muscles in the lower body. Specifically, the leg press targets the quadriceps muscles in the front of the thighs, the gluteal muscles in the buttocks, the hamstring muscles in the back of the thighs, and the calves, all in an integrated fashion. Since the leg press works several muscles at once, it's an especially efficient way to strengthen your lower body.”

She Does Pilates

Rita Ora on a Pilates reformer

Rita Ora/Instagram

The last workout that Ora is seen doing in her Instagram video is a session on the Pilates reformer. Pilates has a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”

For Hewitt, fitness is all about variety. “I try to switch it up a bit,” she told OK! Magazine. “I’ve found that if every week I do something different it tricks my muscles into not getting used to doing any one thing. I’ve been doing pilates, I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve done just plain old walking. I wear 10 pound weights on my ankles while I’m working just so that as I’m moving during the day I’m constantly building muscle. It’s not great for your back but I’m doing it anyway. I do a booty workout thing that I just did for Shape, which was really fun. And I do Zumba. I have DVDs and I dance around like a crazy person in my house.”
