My parents have invested in some quality friendships over the years. To this day I call their close friends my aunts and uncles. They have been my foster parents in the foreign countries that I have called home over the years. They have loved me like a daughter because of how much they love my parents. And my parents have instilled in me the conviction to foster those relationships, make them my own, and never take them for granted.”

3. She Eats Good Sugars

While working on Black Panther, Nyong’o made sure to be healthy. She opened up about what she did in an interview with Essence. She says that she only ate good sugars on the set. Salma Hayek Shares Swimsuit Photo "Hanging Out"

How to have fun like this ageless queen.

Salma Hayek needs nothing else for a perfect summer besides beer and a swimsuit. The 56-year-old actress is having a blast on a scuba diving trip with her friend and instructor Martina Engel, and sharing highlights from the adventure. Hayek posted pictures of the pair happily posing in bikinis and wetsuits, well-earned drinks in hand and snacking on oranges. “Hanging out with my favorite dive master,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Hayek stays ageless and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Knows You Love Her Bikinis

Hayek celebrated hitting 25 million followers on Instagram by posting a very tongue-in-cheek video of herself working out in a swimming pool. “I can’t believe it, 25 million followers! Thank you soo soo much to every single one of you. 🙏 Seeing as you all like my bikini pictures the most 👙, here’s a bikini work out for you all. I hate exercising- but I love to celebrate good moments dancing in the water. I am genuinely moved and grateful for all your love & support 🥰.”

2. She Is Brave

London,,United,Kingdom,-,February,10,,2019:,Salma,Hayek,AttendsShutterstock

Remember the infamous scene-stealing snake dance Hayek did in From Dusk Till Dawn? It turns out she wasn’t exactly prepared for that. “They just kind of threw me on the stage with the snake, put the music on and said, ‘Hey, dance!’” she says, adding that there was no choreography—she was left to her own devices. “I was feeling insecure [and] just wanted to get through it. It was a really small part but to my surprise people really remember that moment.”

3. No Hair Dye, Please

Salma,Hayek,Pinault,Wearing,Dress,By,Alexander,Mcqueen,Attends,PremiereShutterstock

Hayek’s gorgeous dark locks? All natural, all her. The actress no longer has the patience to sit through endless root touch-ups. “It’s my natural color, and it’s my natural white hairs,” she says. “One of the reasons I don’t dye my hair is because I don’t have the patience to sit through it. I don’t want to spend what’s left of my youth pretending I’m younger and then not enjoying life.”

4. She’s Very Funny

Hayek fought typecasting to be allowed to do comedy (no one could forget her star turn in 30 Rock). “I was typecast for a long time,” she says. “My entire life I wanted to do comedy and people wouldn’t give me comedies. I couldn’t land a role until I met Adam Sandler, who put me in a comedy [2010’s Grown Ups], but I was in my forties! They said, ‘You’re sexy, so you’re not allowed to have a sense of humor.’ Not only are you not allowed to be smart, but you were not allowed to be funny in the ’90s.”

5. No Botox or Fillers

Hayek’s secret to beautiful, ageless skin? Golden face masks and chicken soup. “I use an ingredient called Tepezcohuite that’s used in Mexico for burn victims because it completely regenerates the skin, and there’s no one in the States who is using this ingredient except for us,” she says. “Some of the ingredients, when I took them to the American labs, they were like ‘Oh my god! How come nobody is using this?’ This is why I have no Botox, no peels, no fillings.”

Lupita Nyong’o just reprised her role as Nakia in the Black Panther sequel, Wakanda Forever. In a recent Instagram video, Nyong’o revealed how she got in shape for the movie. One thing she did was swim laps and other water exercises. Nyong’o posted a video of herself in the pool doing different exercises. She wore a blue one piece swimsuit. She captioned the video, “Swimming down to Talokan was not as easy as it looked!” Read on to see 5 ways Lupita Nyong'o stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Changes Her Skincare Based On The Day

Nyong’o has amazing skin. She revealed some of her tips to Vogue. Nyong’o says that she doesn’t have one set routine. She adjusts based on her skin’s condition. “Mostly, I listen to my skin. In the morning I’ll check and see: ‘Does my skin feel overly dry? Is it irritated?’ And then I will adjust my routine based on that.”

2. She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" European Premiere – ArrivalsJeff Spicer/Getty Images

When it comes to skincare, Nyong’o doesn’t over-complicate it. “I try – I need – to keep it simple,” she says to Vogue. “I sometimes do a facial massage just to get the blood going. Then I do a soapless wash or a cleansing wash depending on how my skin feels. The cleanser I like is Lancôme’s Miel-en-Mousse foaming cleanser. I like it because it has this warming effect. I have no idea how it happens, but it kind of warms as it lathers and as you rub it into your skin. Then I will use a Génifique mask or serum, depending on how thirsty my skin is. I’ll finish it off with calendula ointment…it’s something that is therapeutic for my skin, and a moisturizer like Lancôme’s Absolue Precious Cells or Rénergie Day, if I want an added layer of moisture.

3. She’s All About Self-Care

Portrait,Of,An,Attractive,Young,Woman,Playing,With,Cucumber,Slices,Shutterstock

Nyong’o has a busy schedule, however, she always makes time for herself. She revealed her favorite self-care routines to Vogue. “I do love full body treatments—massages and baths, like a Moroccan hammam bath. I like soaking in bathing salts as well. For massage, I love a head and face massage to help with circulation. And I do enjoy an at-home moisturizing face mask. I really like the Génifique Hydrogel Melting Face Mask; it’s very, very good. I use it on planes a lot because that’s where you get really dry. It really helps to replenish moisture.”

4. She Has A Good Attitude

Nyong’o opened up about the best advice she’s received to Vogue. “My friend Liesl Tommy told me this wisdom from her grandmother: ‘Begin as you intend to proceed.’,” she says. “And that has really resonated with me over the last year in terms of checking in with myself at the beginning of the day, or when considering a new project or a new relationship of any kind, professional or personal. It’s a reminder to set an intention and consider what attitude I would like to have at the end of whatever activity it is, and ensure that I start with that attitude.”

5. She Uses A Balance Ball

Nyong’o revealed some of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is use a ball to work out on. In this Instagram video, she is seen balancing on it. She captioned the video, “Workout challenge: start your week off with a 1-minute #GhanaBounce & Balance!”

Jessica Cediel, the Colombian TV presenter and model, just posted a brand new video to Instagram, and she's her usual wink-wink self. Cediel posed in front of a mirror in a pink bathing suit, in the classic selfie position. She captioned the video, “I know it's not time to call but I saw you online.” How does she stay so fit? 1. She Uses Hand Weights

In this Instagram video, Cediel revealed some of her favorite workouts to her followers. In the video, she is seen doing lateral lifts, and dancing with the weights in her hands. She humorously captioned the video, “Who else gets confused exercising? Train, sing, dance, smile, repeat.” Here’s a quick handweight exercise from personal trainer Mark Langowski:

1 leg deadlift into biceps curl and shoulder press.

Men; use 12-20lb db’s, Women Use 5-10lb db’s.

“Grasp a dumbbell in each hand, palms facing inward. Standing on one leg, tilt at the waist, keeping your back from rounding, and lower your chest toward the floor until your back is parallel to the ground. Exhale as you slowly come up and, at the top of movement, curl the weights up to your shoulders, then press them overhead. Do 8 repetitions for each leg.”

2. She Swims

2019 Latin American Music Awards - ArrivalsJoe Scarnici/FilmMagic

Cediel likes to go swimming. In fact, she recently received the exciting opportunity to go swimming with dolphins in Cabo San Lucas. She posted this photo and this video on Instagram of herself interacting with the dolphins in the water. “Water is significantly denser than air — by almost 800 times. That means you can build muscle strength as you move through water. One study found that a long-term water exercise program was actually more effective than working out on land to build muscle strength,” says the Mayo Clinic.

3. She Catches Some Rays

Twn minutes of sun can be good for you each day because it provides vitamin D. “Vitamin D is a nutrient your body needs for building and maintaining healthy bones,” says the Mayo Clinic. “That's because your body can only absorb calcium, the primary component of bone, when vitamin D is present. Vitamin D also regulates many other cellular functions in your body. Its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and neuroprotective properties support immune health, muscle function and brain cell activity.”

4. Love Yourself, She Urges

“Each of us has different purposes. Love yourself, respect yourself, value yourself and treat yourself as a priority. Don’t compare yourself. FOCUS ON YOU. Sow today so that tomorrow you will reap the fruits of your effort. Change your mentality, start the transformation from the inside and you will see how you reflect it outside,” she once captioned a post.

5. She Loves Her Father

“Today I am super emotional and I think that now I am finally going to talk about this thing that many of you have asked me about, my dad,” she said on air in 2021. He has Parkinson’s. “My dad has a lot of fans around here, I love him, he’s the best dad in the world….I think that many people who have a family member with special health conditions will understand me, I wanted to comment on this, until today I feel like sharing it and telling them that they definitely love their relatives, love their parents, children, cousins, someone who has a special health condition.”

Jasmin Savoy Brown plays the younger Taissa on Yellowjackets, and in real life, she seems just as amazingly driven. Besides already racking up illustrious roles in the hit series and The Leftovers and the hit movie Scream, the 27-year-old has a new podcast, the Netflix-produced The Homo Schedule, with fellow Yellowjacket Liv Hewson. It’s good you’ll be hearing more from her: the woman is smart. (That’s not to say she’s all work and no play; Brown just shared a photo on Instagram from fellow Scream star Sonia Ammar, having fun on the beach.) How does Jasmin Savoy Brown keep it real while staying so busy? Read on to see 7 ways and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Can Relate to Tai

Jasmin-Savoy-1Jasmin Savoy/Instagram

“Oh, I’m definitely most like Tai. I’m way too serious. I talk about the Enneagram a lot and I’m a 4w3 while she’s a 3w2. So we both share this three and four energy. Similar to Tai, I’m also an Aries [sun] and a Scorpio rising, but I have a Cancer moon. So I’m just all this grrrr but when I’m alone with someone I love I’m a little” more soft, “you know what I mean? Just like her,” she told Nerdist.

2. She Made Sure Her Character’s Blackness Was Intact

“Tai has definitely learned that her identity is not what she thought it was. To get specific, a lot of her identity had to do with her hair,” she told Nerdist. “And that was really important to me [as a Black woman]. That’s why she wrapped [her hair] every night. She kept her wash day routine the best she could. Even when she’s sneaking for a little make out in the water, she keeps her hair wrapped. And then when she goes on that excursion to try to save everyone, she cuts it off. To her, it was practicality but I think subconsciously there was more going on there of shedding the identity attached to society.”

3. She Bonded With Her Cast

Vulture Festival 2021 - Day 1Rich Fury/Getty Images

"It's been quite an experience ... nice and bizarre," Brown told the Today Show. "We shot the pilot in 2019 in literally a different world. Then we shot over COVID and were in a bubble because the borders were closed up in Canada. So we didn’t even have visitors. Normally you have friends and you bring them to set and it already feels living and breathing but it really felt like it was our little secret because no one could come to set."

4. She Likes Engaging with Fans

Los Angeles Diversity Film Festival Presents Premiere Of "All The World Is Sleeping"Amy Sussman/Getty Images

“Everyone’s like, 'I’m sure your phone’s getting blown up right now so I don’t want to bother you,'” Brown explained. “No, actually ... not that many people text me because they don’t want to bother me. I really want them to text me because I like knowing! So that’s why I started engaging a little more online, because I love reading the fan theories. People will come up with things that I've never even thought of, or they’ll point things out that I would’ve never noticed. So many little details people pointed out that I completely missed,” she told Today.

5. She Made Sure Tai Was “Lived in Person”

Vulture Festival 2021 - Day 1Rich Fury/Getty Images

“I’ve seen a lot of queer content where the character feels half-baked, and it’s such a rip-off and it makes me feel sad and used, as if we’re props,” Brown recently told NBC OUT. “I just wanted to really make sure we went fully in the opposite direction, had a completely lived-in person who isn’t defined by her queerness, but her queerness is celebrated even in the nuances.” She added: “It’s subtle changes that really make a difference and me as an audience member feel seen when I’m watching something. It’s the showing versus saying. It’s the doing versus alluding to."

For Hewitt, fitness is all about variety. “I try to switch it up a bit,” she told OK! Magazine. “I’ve found that if every week I do something different it tricks my muscles into not getting used to doing any one thing. I’ve been doing pilates, I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve done just plain old walking. I wear 10 pound weights on my ankles while I’m working just so that as I’m moving during the day I’m constantly building muscle. It’s not great for your back but I’m doing it anyway. I do a booty workout thing that I just did for Shape, which was really fun. And I do Zumba. I have DVDs and I dance around like a crazy person in my house.”

Over the past few years, Sydney Sweeney has become one of America’s sweethearts with celebrated roles in everything from hit HBO shows Euphoria and White Lotus to big-screen movies Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Anyone But You. In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
