She Does Different Types Of Running Exercises
McKee took fans through her daily routine in this YouTube video. In it, she revealed what she does to workout. McKee likes to go running each day. She also schedules a different style of running depending on the day in her journal. "On Monday, I do one mile timed," she says. "On Tuesdays and Thursdays I do sprints or stadiums. On Wednesdays I run a 5k. And on Friday I run as long as I can."
She Determines Her Workouts Based On Her Insulin
McKee has diabetes, and she makes sure to take care of herself. In her YouTube video, she reveals how her daily insulin results determine aspects of her routine. One of these things is the amount of exercise she gets. "I don't always get to do morning cardio if my morning fasting blood sugar is over 250," McKee explains. "It is not good to do any kind of workout. It actually makes it go higher."
She Stays Hydrated
McKee makes sure to stay hydrated each day. In her YouTube video, she says that she always remembers to drink water. "I drink a full gallon," she says. "Or I'll do eight water bottles. It's so important that you get your water in. It flushes out all the bad toxins in your body, it's good for your skin, it's good for your health, it's good for weight loss. It's good for all kinds of things."
She Eats Healthy
McKee revealed her wellness secrets to OK! Magazine. She says that she makes sure to eat healthy, and revealed some of her favorite meals. "I meal prep Sundays for the whole week and I stick to my diet 7 days a week, which consists of a lot of grains and a lot of broccoli and beans! And a lot of lean meats, egg whites, chicken, white fish, oatmeal with blueberries and plant based protein."
McKee tells OK! Magazine that she makes sure to be consistent with her fitness. She says that she makes sure to stay motivated. "Once you start and get motivated, you learn to love it. It's hard starting. We are human, there are days when you have your off days, but it's about finding that balance and know when to get back on the grind."
