Madelyn Cline is soaking up the sun this summer. The Outer Banks star steamed up social media this week, sharing a bunch of photos of her summer so far. In the first one, she shows off her famous figure in a swimsuit, while lounging in a pool. "Water girl," says a fan. How does she keep herself so fit? Read on to see 7 of Madelyn Cline’s top tips for staying in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Deal with Your Health Issues Head-On

Madelyn struggled with an eating disorder in her teens, cutting calories dramatically and sometimes just eating six almonds for breakfast as to not "counteract the cardio" she was doing, she told Women's Health. "I think I was around 16 when I started working out a lot. I would wake up every morning at 5 a.m. and I would work out for 30 minutes. It was super rigorous cardio every day.” she explained. "It turned into not feeding myself protein and not feeding my body what it needed when I was working out so much. I worked out multiple times during the day. All I knew was I wasn't achieving a particular body image, and so I was angry. I was harming myself and starving myself in the process of trying to achieve that."

2. Build Self-Love

Madelyn’s mother was a “wonderful help” in terms of her recovery. “She would stand there in the mirror with me and we would list out things that I liked about my body," she told Women’s Health. "After that repetition those things became solidified in my mind. I like my curves, I like my hips, and after a while I started to love my body. I became so much happier."

3. Take a Hike

Outdoor activities are a big part of Madelyn’s life. “I want to climb a mountain or go backpacking somewhere. That'd be really cool,” she told Buzzfeed. However, in general, hiking isn’t one of her favorite things to do. “Like, I hate going on hikes, but I feel like I should climb a mountain at least once in my life. Just to say I did it. Yeah. I saw the view, I saw some clouds. And yeah, it's good, I did it. No more hiking ever again. Just cross it off.”

4. Find Healthy Hobbies

Madelyn’s has a few healthy hobbies, including skateboarding. “I tried to learn how to do kickflips,” she revealed in a 24 Hours with Madelyn Cline video for Vogue. She also rides horses. One of her first jobs in LA was at a horse barn. “Every morning I would get up at like 6am and I would drive to the barn and I would mop the stalls, feed them, and give them their supplements,” she told Vogue. She added that horses are very meditative for her. “When I’m riding I feel very centered but also very alert because I am trying to figure out what the horse is telling me what is around us, if there is anything that might spook them. Just learning how to communicate with them, and if you stay calm they stay calm. So it's kind of a lesson in learning how to center yourself first. It’s cathartic. There's a reason why people go and do horse therapy. It's because it's wonderful.”

5. Prioritize Your Mental Health

“I think the thing I’ve learned the most about my anxiety and dealing with my emotions and learning how to conquer the things, self sabotage, and imposter syndrome is just learning how to give in and let things happen and if it doesn't go as planned that’s okay,” she told Vogue. “And give yourself the permission to tell your anxiety to shut the f**k up.”

6. Eat Vegan

Madelyn’s ex-boyfriend and co-star Chase Stokes told ET Canada that Madelyn is a vegan. “It just felt like a fun little challenge,” he said, revealing that when they were dating he started eating more vegan dishes with her.

1. She Uses Cleanser

Cline has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She revealed some of her favorite beauty products and secrets to Vogue. 2. She Found Acceptance In Herself

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - November 23, 2022Gotham/GC Images

Cline is open about her previous struggles with an eating disorder. She tells Women’s Health that she found acceptance in herself by repeating things over and over. "My mom was a wonderful help in that. She would stand there in the mirror with me and we would list out things that I liked about my body," she explained. "After that repetition those things became solidified in my mind. I like my curves, I like my hips, and after a while I started to love my body. I became so much happier."

3. She Takes Breaks From Social Media

Cline tells Glamour that she needs to take breaks from her social media pages from time to time. “It's important for me to remember that with my socials I’m incredibly blessed. But at the same time, sometimes it can get very loud, so I have to turn it off and listen to myself for a second and be present in the moment. It's so nice to not be thinking ‘oh, I'm gonna take this picture to post’. It's so nice to just leave my phone somewhere for a few hours. But it’s also such a wonderful tool and I'm so thankful for it.”

4. She Doesn’t Put Pressure On Herself

Premiere Of "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery" - ArrivalsJon Kopaloff/Getty Images

Cline tells Glamour that she doesn’t put pressure on herself to do things. “I feel like everybody puts pressure on themselves to look or act a certain way sometimes. And at the end of the day – it doesn't matter. Like, you know, we're on a floating rock hurtling through space, and to worry yourself about things like that – it's trivial. All bodies are beautiful, [realising that] is a part of self-love and self-acceptance.”

5. She Learned Chess

Cline tells Glamour that she learned how to play chess, which has helped with her anxiety. “On the Glass Onion set, Leslie [Odom Jr] taught Jess and I how to play,” she says. “He’d ask ‘‘what are my options?’ I think it just means to step outside of my thoughts for a second. We can often act on an anxiety or emotion that's really, really strong. But we could just take a minute, and ask ‘what can I do in the moment? What options do I have to centre myself?’ It can feel like everything is kind of closing in, but it's not true. I think [learning chess] is a wonderful life lesson in general.”

American Pickers star Danielle Colby is sharing one of her favorite hobbies with fans: underwater swimming. Colby posted a photo of herself along with a quote by David Lynch, looking serene in a two piece swimsuit. “Meditation is to dive all the way within, beyond thought, to the source of thought and pure consciousness. It enlarges the container, every time you transcend. When you come out, you come out refreshed, filled with energy and enthusiasm for life,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Colby stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves To Swim

Colby is an accomplished underwater swimmer. "Every time I go for a swim I feel like the earth and my incredible swim colleagues have enabled me to have experienced something pretty amazing," says Dr Jenny Martin, a physician and clinical pharmacologist at the University of Newcastle. "You get a release of hormones that make you feel good, like the molecules that are in morphine drugs, and other feel-good hormones like serotonin, dopamine. After an ocean swim in winter, you sometimes get a temporary natural high when you get out … definitely a euphoric feeling."

2. Paddle Boarding

Colby shares her adventures with paddle boarding on her social media. “I had a breakthrough today with @rinconpaddleboards I have never been able to root myself properly for longer duration. I could get up but it didn’t last long,” she says. “Damiano took the time during our private lesson to break down every detail of what’s happening on the board, in the water and in my body and how to respond for more stability. I have a long way to go and needs to stay lower and work on arm placement but I felt so happy with today’s lesson🎉 I always Learn so much.”

3. She’s a Dancer

Colby is a professional dancer, something she says changed her life from day one. “I discovered Burlesque in Chicago quite some time ago, years and years ago- I was addicted from the first show,” she says. “There’s something very empowering about Burlesque. I started learning right away, I started performing way too soon! There’s some great video footage to prove that. But it’s all been a really fun journey, even watching old videos, it’s cool to see how much more at ease I am with myself and with my audience. But it’s funny, I have maintained the same lumbering stance since I started. There’s nothing delicate about me on stage, I just throw my guts out there and then I walk away and let people sort out what they saw.”

4. Mental Health and Confidence

Colby says giving back to the community is one of the best ways to gain happiness and confidence. “My advice, for what it’s worth… If you’re trying to gain or regain confidence, don’t do it through Burlesque,” she says. “Help in your community, educate yourself, travel, find where your real strength lies.”

5. Embracing Her Unique Looks

Colby is famous for her many tattoos, something she considers a “storyline” for her life. “I don’t think I took collecting tattoos seriously at first,” she says. “I mean my first tattoo was an LBT tribal tramp stamp of a butterfly…Ha! I have definitely acquired some more impressive tattoos since then but I collect them for the story. I’m not afraid of people judging the work I have on my body, it’s a storyline for myself. I love it when my friends work on me, I love to collect the memories, I cannot have an artist work on me that I don’t feel close with. I have to feel a sense of kinship I’ve been very fortunate to find that across-the-board with my tattoo artists.”

Emilia Mernes has become one of the most popular Latin singers in the past few years. She has also acquired a strong following on Instagram. Mernes recently posted a stunning new set of photos. In it, she posed in a green swimsuit top with jeweled straps and a pink skirt, as well as a sheer pink top, swimsuit top, and denim skirt. She captioned the post, “Behind the smoke you can’t see.” How does she stay so fit? 1. She Swims

Mernes spends a lot of time outside. One thing she likes to do is go to the beach and go swimming. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself by the water. In this set of photos she posted, Mernes is seen on a boat and on a paddleboard. She captioned the post, “Made in Argentina.”

2. She’s Active

Mernes opened up about her wellness routine in an interview. She says that she lives a pretty active life. “If I am skinnier it is because I am a thousand. But like everything, I eat well. The people around me know that I eat, it's not that I'm skinny, it's because I'm active, I dance a lot, I rehearse a lot, I'm doing things every day and I don't train, I should. Now I'm going to start swimming, but well the thing is that I never have a day off.”

3. She Speaks Out About Beauty Standards

In the same interview, Mernes opened up about her past insecurities and spoke out about unfair beauty standards. “I didn't wear muscle or short sleeves because I said 'I have fatter arms' and people are going to judge me for that. I mean, imagine how my head was, really bad. And well, I had a really bad time at that moment and then I understood that it is not like that and that nothing is wrong. But you know what happens? It's that people put me in that place of the Argentine woman, that you have to fulfill a stereotype, that you have to wear these clothes, that you have to say or do this. And she broke my head that she felt that she had to comply with things that society imposes on her that are stupid.”

4. She Admires Mega-Powerful Women

Billboard Latin Women In Music - BackstageGetty Images

She grew up admiring Thalia, Rihanna and Beyoncé. “I would watch them on TV and I couldn’t believe it. I’d say: ‘I hope one day I can see myself like them!’ Because whenever I listened to them, they instilled a message of power and confidence in me,” she told Billboard.

5. She Benefits From Sun Exposure

"One of the best (and easiest) ways to get vitamin D is by being outside. Our bodies produce vitamin D when exposed to sunlight—about 15 minutes in the sun a day is adequate if you’re fair skinned. And since Vitamin D helps your body maintain calcium and prevents brittle, thin, or misshapen bones, soaking in sun may be just what the doctor ordered," says Select Health.

1. She Didn’t Give Up

Acting is a difficult career to pursue, and Cline tells Glamour that it was difficult for her to find success at first. However, Cline says that she decided to stick with it and didn’t give up, no matter how hard things got for her. “LA is a harsh city to be in when you're a little girl from the South, and you have absolutely no idea what you're doing and you are thinking, ‘Am I making, have I made a massive mistake? I don't have money to move back home. My parents are not on board with this. What do I do?’ But you have to convince yourself that, you genuinely have to believe that it's, ‘when,’ not, ‘if.’”

2. She’s Recovering From An Eating Disorder

Cline opened up about her struggles with eating disorders in an interview with Women’s Health. "I think I was around 16 when I started working out a lot," she said. "After that repetition those things became solidified in my mind. I like my curves, I like my hips, and after a while I started to love my body. I became so much happier."

4. She Followed Her Gut

Cline decided to drop out of college and move to LA to pursue acting. She tells Glamour that this was a risky decision, but she wanted to follow her gut. "I called my mom and said ... 'I know this is what you guys want me to do, but it's not what I want to do, so I'm going to drop out and I'm going to move out to LA and I don't need help, but I just would wish for your support,'" Cline said. "It was difficult, but we wouldn't be sitting here right now had I not followed my gut.”

5. She Relates To Her Character

6th Annual InStyle Awards - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/WireImage

Cline plays the character of Sarah on the drama series Outer Banks. She tells Glamour that she really relates to the character, and that playing her has helped with her real life. “There are a lot of lessons I feel Sarah learns in the first season about finding her voice when she feels something isn't right, going against the grain and standing up for what she believes in, versus what she's told to believe in. That's something that I definitely can relate to. When I moved out to L.A., I learned a lot about myself and I learned to find my voice, and so I rediscovered that in Sarah.”

1. She Dances

Los Angeles Fashion Week Powered by Art Hearts Fashion 2022 - MISTER TRIPLE X + DR.MARTENSArun Nevader/Getty Images

Gould is an avid dancer. She even likes to take classes. Gould posted this video of herself doing a combination from a class on Instagram. She captioned it, “DANCE! FIRE & DESIRE! Thank you @therealtank for coming and watching class!” "Scientists gave little thought to the neurological effects of dance until relatively recently, when researchers began to investigate the complex mental coordination that dance requires. In a 2008 article in Scientific American magazine, a Columbia University neuroscientist posited that synchronizing music and movement—dance, essentially—constitutes a 'pleasure double play.' Music stimulates the brain’s reward centers, while dance activates its sensory and motor circuits," says Harvard Health.

2. She Goes Outside

Gould spends a lot of time outside. She posts a lot of photos of herself enjoying the great outdoors on Instagram. She shared this photo of herself running on the beach in Malibu. She captioned it, “Footprints in the sand.” Gould also posted this beach photo, captioning it, “Whatever is good for the soul, do that.”

3. She Swims

One outdoor activity Gould likes to do to stay in shape is go swimming. She shares a lot of videos and photos on Instagram of herself in the water. Gould posted these photos of herself in an infinity pool. She captioned it, “This planet is so beautiful.” Gould also posted this video of herself in the ocean. She captioned it, “Summer vibe always.”

4. She Gets Her Vitamin D

A little bit os sun each day is essential to get your vitamin D. “Vitamin D is one of the 13 vitamins discovered in the early 20th century by doctors studying nutritional deficiency diseases. Ever since, scientists have defined vitamins as organic (carbon-containing) chemicals that must be obtained from dietary sources because they are not produced by the body's tissues. Vitamins play a crucial role in our body's metabolism, but only tiny amounts are needed to fill that role,” says Harvard Health.

5. She Has Body Confidence

MollieGould.1Mollie Gould/Instagram

Gould frequently poses online in swimsuit photos, appearing body-confident. “Avoid 'should' and 'must' statements. If you find that your thoughts are full of these words, you might be putting too many demands on yourself. Try to remove these words from your thoughts. It may lead to a healthier view of what to expect from yourself,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Focus on the positive. Think about the parts of your life that work well. Remember the skills you've used to cope with challenges.”

Ana Zelu is a professional model and social media influencer. She is known for her content in nature. Zelu recently shared a post on Instagram of herself on a surfboard in the ocean. She captioned it, “Yesterday was such a fun shoot, I just had to share these with you 🤍 🛥️But picture number #4?? That photobomb totally got me 😂 Which picture is your favorite ?🌊”

She Swims

As you can see from her post, Zelu likes to swim. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is often touted as a great workout for all ages, offering benefits not only for the body, but also for the mind. As a form of exercise, swimming keeps your heart rate up and builds muscle strength. It also can be a great form of stress relief.”

She Doesn't Compare Herself to Others

Zelu shares a lot of her thoughts on Instagram. In this post, she talked about no longer comparing herself to others. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today’s contemplation led me to a profound understanding of the detrimental impact comparison has on our lives. It’s like a silent intruder, subtly creeping into our thoughts and poisoning our perception of ourselves and others. It’s a universal struggle, one that weighs heavily on the hearts of many. I’ve come to realize that comparison is the ultimate thief of joy. It robs us of our ability to appreciate our own journey and achievements, as we constantly measure ourselves against an idealized version of others. I’ve resolved to break free from its grasp. We should choose to celebrate our own unique path, recognizing that each step forward is a triumph in itself. Rather than fixating on external benchmarks set by others, I’m focusing on personal growth and development. Whether it’s through learning new skills, cultivating gratitude, or simply practicing self-compassion, every effort counts.”

She Hikes

Zelu is seen on a hike in the previous Instagram post. Harvard Health states that hiking is very beneficial. “Like brisk walking, hiking is a good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, particularly if your route includes some hills, which will force your heart to work harder. Taking a hike on the slightly uneven surface of a trail also provides a natural way to engage the core muscles in your torso and to hone your balance skills.”

She’s Resilient

Resilience is another important thing to Zelu. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Dear Diary 💭📝, I witnessed something truly remarkable that touched my heart deeply. It’s amazing how people can go through the toughest storms in life and yet remain gentle, patient, and kind. I saw someone who faced challenges that would break most people, yet they chose to respond with grace and humility. Their ability to stay calm and compassionate in the face of adversity is nothing short of admirable. It made me realize the beauty of resilience – the strength to keep going even when life throws its hardest punches. These individuals not only endure the storms but also emerge from them with a spirit that shines brighter than before. Their example reminds me of the power of kindness and the importance of staying true to oneself, even in the darkest of times. It’s a reminder that even in the midst of chaos, there is beauty to be found 💕🫶”

She’s Accepted Herself

Zelu talked about the importance of acceptance in this Instagram post’s caption. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but amidst it all, I feel like I’ve taken a step closer to the right direction. Letting go of the past is like shedding a heavy coat I’ve been carrying for far too long. It’s not easy to release the memories, the pain, the regrets, but today, I made a choice to loosen the grip they had on me. It’s like taking a deep breath after being underwater for too long—refreshing and liberating. Forgiving myself has been a journey filled with tears and moments of self-doubt. But today, I finally understood that I deserve the same forgiveness and understanding I give to others. It’s like giving myself a warm hug, wrapping myself in kindness and acceptance.”

Regular exercise and a healthy diet can bring many benefits, including more energy, happiness, health, and even a longer life. It's something we all know but we always make excuses for. So hopefully you can start moving your body little by little and eat a little better and obviously enjoy something delicious on the weekends 😋.”

Allina Health reports that squats are very beneficial to do. “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong. Include squats in your exercise routine two to three days a week to reap the benefits from this dynamite move.”

Viciconte is also seen doing hip thrusts in her Instagram video. Gymless states that the exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Hip thrusts, as a compound movement, aid in increasing lower body strength and power, enhancing athletic abilities such as running, jumping, and powerlifting. By strengthening the posterior chain muscles, you can enhance your posture and lower the risk of back pain and muscle strain. Strong glutes and hamstrings contribute to hip and knee stability, minimizing injury risks in sports and daily life.”

Viciconte is seen using a stationary bike in the previous Instagram video. Doing this can help strengthen your muscles. Penn State PRO Wellness explained, “Riding a stationary bike can help build strength in your legs and lower body, especially if you use a higher resistance. The pedaling action can help strengthen your calves, hamstrings, and quadriceps. Additionally, it can work the muscles in your core, back, and glutes. If you use a bicycle with handles, you’ll also be able to work your upper body muscles, including your biceps, triceps, and shoulders.”

She Runs

Viciconte shared this Instagram video of herself working out. In it, she is seen doing running exercises. Viciconte captioned it, “When we exercise, our body releases endorphin, a natural substance produced by the brain during and after physical activity. The release of endorphin, also known as the 'joy hormone', helps you relax, reduces stress, anxiety and improves your mood. I always say that it's never too late to start moving, so you know that tomorrow you have no excuse 💪🏻”
