Madelyn Cline is giving fans a sneak peek of what goes on behind-the-scenes while shooting the hit show Outer Banks – and also showing off her swimsuit style. The 24-year-old star shared a bunch of photos and videos Monday morning featuring the cast of the hit Netflix show. “Good morning. Drews rum punch got swiped and the caterpillar video,” she captioned the drop, which included a photo of herself rocking a bathing suit. How does she keep herself so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Madelyn Cline stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Dealt with Body Image Issues

Madelyn is an eating disorder survivor. "I think I was around 16 when I started working out a lot. I would wake up every morning at 5 a.m. and I would work out for 30 minutes. It was super rigorous cardio every day,” she explained in a 2020 Body Scan video for Women's Health. During her illness she cut calories dramatically, sometimes just eating six almonds for breakfast as to not "counteract the cardio" she was doing. "It turned into not feeding myself protein and not feeding my body what it needed when I was working out so much. "I worked out multiple times during the day. All I knew was I wasn't achieving a particular body image, and so I was angry. I was harming myself and starving myself in the process of trying to achieve that."

2. She Learned How to Love Herself

Madelyn-ClineMadelyn Cline/Instagram

Madelyn revealed that her mother was a “wonderful help” in terms of her recovery. “She would stand there in the mirror with me and we would list out things that I liked about my body," she explained. "After that repetition those things became solidified in my mind. I like my curves, I like my hips, and after a while I started to love my body. I became so much happier."

3. She Maintains an Active Lifestyle

Madelyn is a big fan of staying active outdoors. “I want to climb a mountain or go backpacking somewhere. That'd be really cool,” she told Buzzfeed. However, in general, hiking isn’t one of her favorite things to do. “Like, I hate going on hikes, but I feel like I should climb a mountain at least once in my life. Just to say I did it. Yeah. I saw the view, I saw some clouds. And yeah, it's good, I did it. No more hiking ever again. Just cross it off.”

4. She Skateboards

47th Annual People's Choice Awards - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/Getty Images

Another one of her favorite outdoor activities? Skateboarding. “I tried to learn how to do kickflips,” she revealed in a 24 Hours with Madelyn Cline video for Vogue.

5. She Is an Equestrian

Madelyn’s first job in Los Angeles? At a horse barn “Every morning I would get up at like 6am and I would drive to the barn and I would mop the stalls, feed them, and give them their supplements,” she told Vogue. She added that horses are very meditative for her. “When I’m riding I feel very centered but also very alert because I am trying to figure out what the horse is telling me what is around us, if there is anything that might spook them. Just learning how to communicate with them, and if you stay calm they stay calm. So it's kind of a lesson in learning how to center yourself first. It’s cathartic. There's a reason why people go and do horse therapy. It's because it's wonderful.”

6. She Deals with Her Anxiety

“I think the thing I’ve learned the most about my anxiety and dealing with my emotions and learning how to conquer the things, self sabotage, and imposter syndrome is just learning how to give in and let things happen and if it doesn't go as planned that’s okay,” she told Vogue. “And give yourself the permission to tell your anxiety to shut the f**k up.”

7. She Is a Vegan

I have crazy anxiety. I would go on a set and I’d be nervous every day. [Then I would remember,] what are my options? I needed to take a minute and step back. It was a really wonderful, serendipitous lesson.”

It’s important to me to do everything I can to make sure my skin is as healthy and happy as possible even when I’m feeling run down and not on top of my self-care,” she said. She also revealed that Phyto A+ Brightening Treatment by Skinceuticals is a product she loves. “It soothes my out of balance skin and reduces post-blemish marks, targets surface imperfections by reducing pore clogging surface oil, and brightens - giving me glassy, healthy and glowy skin,” she said.

But that doesn't make them less real.”

3. She Embraced Her Body

Moore revealed in her autobiography that she began to embrace her body after filming G.I. Jane. For the role, Moore gained a lot of muscle, and after filming, she decided to embrace it. “My usual reaction would have been to start starving myself again, to begin an exercise regime designed to reduce the bulk, but I did neither,” she wrote. When I got home to Idaho, I had an epiphany in the shower one day: I just need to be my natural size.”

4. She Stopped Working Out At Home

I never went back into the gym in the house. Never. The room it occupied is now my office.”

1. She Has Learned to Love Herself

“HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY ✨ Today is a day where we can celebrate us. I have so many women in my life who inspire me every day and I wanted to give a little something today that can hopefully inspire one of you. Loving our imperfections can be difficult, but when you learn to embrace them and realise that our imperfections don’t define us, they are just a part of us alongside everything else that creates you as a person. None of us are the same, and that’s a special thing. We are one of a kind 🤍 This picture shows me at my most vulnerable… but I’m learning to love myself, imperfections and all. And so should you,” she wrote once.

2. She Was Once “Unhealthily Skinny”

"I went from a size 10 to a six, and it’s the smallest I’ve ever been as a young adult. Because of my height, this made me look unhealthily skinny, of which I was (not eating barely anything, feeling ill all the time, tired, dizzy) and I remember looking at myself, I’d lost my boobs and my bum and those curves I once had and I missed them,” she wrote on Instagram. "The point of this [is], since coming out of Love Island, I found my love for food again and yes I’m getting back to my usual size."

3. She Likes a Nice Bath

“Drowning my sorrows in the bath because my Met Gala invite got lost 💔…,” she captioned one recent photo. Consider adding Epsom salt. “Pour about 300 grams (1.25 cups) of Epsom salt into a clean bathtub as it fills with hot water. (Avoid using Epsom salt in a tub with jets, a hot tub or a whirlpool bath unless the manufacturer says it’s OK.),” says the Cleveland Clinic.

4. This is Her Skin Icon

ITV Palooza! 2021 - ArrivalsSamir Hussein/WireImage

"At the moment the make-up I use does change fairly often, not necessarily my staples like concealer and foundation, but I do switch up the bronzers, blushers and mascara that I use,” she has said. Her icon? "Meghan Markle, her skin is absolutely flawless – her make-up always looks lovely as her make-up always looks lovely and natural."

5. She Has Had Acne

Pride Of Britain Awards 2021 - Red Carpet ArrivalsMike Marsland/WireImage

“I suffered from acne about a year and a half ago and then I started to work with a skin aesthetician, who helped me to find my skincare routine and helped me to start dealing with the breakouts. Now that my acne has gone, we are on more of a journey to find the right products; doing treatments like microneedling once a month to deal with the scarring. I am so happy with the outcome because the difference from what it was to now is just incredible. I genuinely used to think there was never going to be a time when I could get rid of the acne and I think when you are suffering you think it’s going to be with you forever. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t an overnight process – it took me a year and a half to be acne free, but through a good skincare routine and using the right products it can be combated. My skin aesthetician advised me that the products you use to treat acne don’t start working for 4-6 months, so it took six months before I started to see a difference. The secret to good skin is also about good lifestyle, it’s all about looking after the inside to make your skin glow,” she told Hello.

Alomonds,On,White,BackgroundShutterstock

"When I was younger, I did struggle with eating disorders, specifically when I was a teenager," she shared with Women's Health. "I think I was around 16 when I started working out a lot. I would wake up every morning at 5am and I would work out for 30 minutes. It was super rigorous cardio every day. I started cutting calories. I would eat like six almonds for breakfast because I didn't want to counteract the cardio that I just did."

2. She Eats Breakfast

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,February,16,,2023:,Madelyn,Cline,At,TheShutterstock

“Sometimes I’ll wake up really hungry," Cline shared in a Harper's BAZAAR Food Diaries video. "I’ll do a breakfast sandwich, oatmeal, [or] maybe a smoothie," she confirmed. Even before breakfast, though, she starts off with some old-fashioned hydration. “I usually wake up pretty thirsty, so I’ll probably chug some water," she added.

3. She Spends Time Outdoors

Madelyn spends a lot of time outdoors. “I want to climb a mountain or go backpacking somewhere. That'd be really cool,” she told Buzzfeed. “Like, I hate going on hikes, but I feel like I should climb a mountain at least once in my life. Just to say I did it. Yeah. I saw the view, I saw some clouds. And yeah, it's good, I did it. No more hiking ever again. Just cross it off.”

4. She Is All About Fast Food

Cline indulges in fast food. “On some days, In-N-Out,” she said about her favorite spot. “My order is a double-double [burger] with everything on it, plus chopped chillies, with an animal-style fry (AKA loaded fries), and a Diet Coke.”

5. She Loves Soup

Los,Angeles,-,Feb,2:,Madelyn,Cline,At,The,StellaShutterstock

“For dinner, because usually I wait to eat lunch later, I will probably do something just a little lighter. I love soup: chicken tortilla soup, I love a good green soup, lemon orzo soup is really yummy. I like Matzah ball soup, [and] potato and leek soup. The possibilities are endless here.”

6. She Burns Calories at Work

Madelyn maintains that shooting Outer Banks is a great workout. "I get very sweaty. It’s a fun show, we have a good time shooting it. It is very physically demanding and emotionally taxing," Cline told Interview.

Ana Zelu is a professional model and social media influencer. She is known for her content in nature. Zelu recently shared a post on Instagram of herself on a surfboard in the ocean. She captioned it, “Yesterday was such a fun shoot, I just had to share these with you 🤍 🛥️But picture number #4?? That photobomb totally got me 😂 Which picture is your favorite ?🌊”

She Swims

As you can see from her post, Zelu likes to swim. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is often touted as a great workout for all ages, offering benefits not only for the body, but also for the mind. As a form of exercise, swimming keeps your heart rate up and builds muscle strength. It also can be a great form of stress relief.”

She Doesn't Compare Herself to Others

Zelu shares a lot of her thoughts on Instagram. In this post, she talked about no longer comparing herself to others. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today’s contemplation led me to a profound understanding of the detrimental impact comparison has on our lives. It’s like a silent intruder, subtly creeping into our thoughts and poisoning our perception of ourselves and others. It’s a universal struggle, one that weighs heavily on the hearts of many. I’ve come to realize that comparison is the ultimate thief of joy. It robs us of our ability to appreciate our own journey and achievements, as we constantly measure ourselves against an idealized version of others. I’ve resolved to break free from its grasp. We should choose to celebrate our own unique path, recognizing that each step forward is a triumph in itself. Rather than fixating on external benchmarks set by others, I’m focusing on personal growth and development. Whether it’s through learning new skills, cultivating gratitude, or simply practicing self-compassion, every effort counts.”

She Hikes

Zelu is seen on a hike in the previous Instagram post. Harvard Health states that hiking is very beneficial. “Like brisk walking, hiking is a good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, particularly if your route includes some hills, which will force your heart to work harder. Taking a hike on the slightly uneven surface of a trail also provides a natural way to engage the core muscles in your torso and to hone your balance skills.”

She’s Resilient

Resilience is another important thing to Zelu. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Dear Diary 💭📝, I witnessed something truly remarkable that touched my heart deeply. It’s amazing how people can go through the toughest storms in life and yet remain gentle, patient, and kind. I saw someone who faced challenges that would break most people, yet they chose to respond with grace and humility. Their ability to stay calm and compassionate in the face of adversity is nothing short of admirable. It made me realize the beauty of resilience – the strength to keep going even when life throws its hardest punches. These individuals not only endure the storms but also emerge from them with a spirit that shines brighter than before. Their example reminds me of the power of kindness and the importance of staying true to oneself, even in the darkest of times. It’s a reminder that even in the midst of chaos, there is beauty to be found 💕🫶”

She’s Accepted Herself

Zelu talked about the importance of acceptance in this Instagram post’s caption. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but amidst it all, I feel like I’ve taken a step closer to the right direction. Letting go of the past is like shedding a heavy coat I’ve been carrying for far too long. It’s not easy to release the memories, the pain, the regrets, but today, I made a choice to loosen the grip they had on me. It’s like taking a deep breath after being underwater for too long—refreshing and liberating. Forgiving myself has been a journey filled with tears and moments of self-doubt. But today, I finally understood that I deserve the same forgiveness and understanding I give to others. It’s like giving myself a warm hug, wrapping myself in kindness and acceptance.”
