Ride Horses

Madison loves to ride horses. She recently celebrated her birthday by going for a ride with friends. "A good old fashioned North Carolina birthday," she captioned the image. "Riding a horse for 45 minutes at a walk, trot and canter can burn up to 200 calories," Dr. Dennis Sigler, a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service horse specialist and professor in the department of animal science at Texas A&M University in College Station, explains. "If you do something a bit more strenuous such as cutting or reining, that can come out to nearly seven calories per minute for the entire length of the riding period," adds the American Heart Association.

Exercise Outdoors

Madison is a big fan of outdoor workouts. "Missing my LA hikes," she captioned a photo of one of her sweat sessions. "Do one thing a day that makes you proud of yourself. 3.5 miles and 500 stairs will suffice for today," she captioned another Instagram post.
