Pettis just posted her newest look on Instagram, and she looks amazing. In it, Pettis posed in an orange two piece with purple flowers, with books on the floor around her. She captioned the post, “Careful with words, but it’s still hard to read me.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Madison Pettis stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She’s Proud of Herself

Pettis has been acting for a long time, and she’s had to deal with rejection for a long time. However, she hasn’t let this get her down. She told her secret to Composure Magazine,“For an actor, it can be a lot of pressure to always have something going on. This business is a rollercoaster & it’s easy to get discouraged when you’re in between jobs. But you just have to stay positive and be proud of how much you’ve already accomplished so far!”

2. She Uses Anti-Humidity Spray

Pettis has amazing hair, and she makes sure to take care of it. She spilled some of her secrets to GirlsLife.com, including her favorite products. “Using an anti-humidity spray is key,” Pettis says. “Since my hair is naturally so curly, it always wants to resist being completely smoothed out all the way straight. Any amount of moisture makes it curl up, so anti-humidity spray is a lifesaver!”

3. She Switches Up Her Haircare Product

Pettis tells GirlsLife.com that her haircare routine is all about variety. “I like to switch it up each time and try something a little different with the styling. One of my favorite tips is to use 2 or 3 different sizes of irons so you get more natural looking curls or waves. After styling, my favorite part is to gently brush out the curls or use your fingers to fluff them and give them some life. I'm all about the voluminous look!”

4. She Uses A Microfiber Towel

Pettis tells GirlsLife.com that she doesn’t just use any old towel on her hair. “One of the most helpful tricks I've learned for curly hair is to use a microfiber towel to towel-dry rather than just a regular towel! I was so surprised at how much less frizzy my hair was when I made the switch.”

5. She Manages Stress

Being an actress can be difficult, but Pettis tells Teen Vogue that she has learned how to manage it. “If I feel stressed, or feel a lot of pressure, feel like everything's weighing on me heavily, I try to get back into my inner child who always did it for the fun of everything, and just was ready to entertain and do what made her happy without thinking of what's at stake,” she says. “That's when I feel most comfortable and can find that confidence again.”

1. Don’t Compare Yourself to Others

Madison, who has been acting since she was a child, keeps herself grounded by remembering that she is enough. “My mom reminds me not to compare myself to anyone else, which is great advice whether you’re a public figure or not. It’s easy to look around and wish you had what someone else has, or do what someone else is doing. But we are all on our own path! It’s important to appreciate each step in your journey,” she told Composure.

2. Trust Your Instincts

Self-awareness is a crucial part of Madison’s approach to staying on the right track. “Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. Always listen to that little voice inside your head,” she added to Composure.

3. Treat Stress Head On

Madison explained to Teen Vogue that she has a trick for dealing with stress. “I think as a kid, you just have no idea what's at stake, you have no idea the pressure that's on you. You really don't understand what's going on. So everything was just like a blind optimism,” she said. “Now if I feel stressed, or feel a lot of pressure, feel like everything's weighing on me heavily, I try to get back into my inner child who always did it for the fun of everything, and just was ready to entertain and do what made her happy without thinking of what's at stake. That's when I feel most comfortable and can find that confidence again.”

4. Dance

Want a fit figure like Madison? Try dancing. She regularly takes dancing, including one that requires her to wear high heels as she gets down and shows off her hip-hop moves. In an Instagram Q&A she revealed that she “made it a resolution” to take classes, calling it “the best thing ever.” “I have so much fun in class,” she added.

5. Do Pilates

“I do a lot of pilates. Working out while you lay down is lit,” Madison revealed during an Instagram Q&A. She takes classes on both the mat and reformer, adding that during quarantine she would do videos of mat workouts paired with 10 minutes of abs and booty band exercises.

1. She Surfs

Madison has posted photos of her with surfboards, and called herself a “surfer girl.” One study of surfing found: “The results showed increased cardiovascular and muscular fitness related to surfing, improvement in the mental-wellbeing of ‘at risk’ young adults and veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), significant health benefits for individuals with disabilities, and more positive mood from outdoor vs. indoor exercise.”

2. She Hikes

Madison hikes when in Los Angeles. One recent study showed that time in nature can be great for your brain: “Spending prolonged time in nature may alter neural signatures that relate to the tendency to focus on internal thoughts and increase awareness of the external environment, but fluctuations in neuroelectric signals could be indicative of other potential neural processes. In any event, this research shows evidence that prolonged environmental exposures uniquely influence neuroelectric power during rest.”

3. She is Pansexual

Madison is pansexual. “I've been out since I was 18,” she told Glamour. “The show came out. And then I felt like I had to do some type of coming out, even though it was public knowledge to my friends and my 2,000 followers I had before. But then I was like, I should probably tell all these millions of people how I'm feeling.”

4. She Has Borderline Personality Disorder

“I think my personality disorder affects what I eat for breakfast and when I go to sleep, it affects absolutely everything I do. And I think being pan and having a personality disorder, I have definitely figured out where I fall into all of that because my personality disorder—basically I have a very broad personality. I have a lot of identity crises. I just didn't know what part of it was my sexuality and which part of it was me just feeling different that day,” she told Glamour.

5. Live Authentically, She Advises

6th Annual InStyle Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Don't let anybody pressure you to say you are something or you aren't something, don't let anyone tell you you're making a rash decision or why are you making this decision now?Just don't really let anybody interfere with how you're feeling. It is a self-discovery it is a self exploration that you have to do by yourself. Just try not to be scared. That's so much easier said than done, but just try to find a lot of comfort in knowing that you are on your own path to live your own life and you need to make the decisions that are best for you to be happy, to feel like you’re living authentically. There are too many people faking it,” she told Glamour.

1. Ride Horses

Madison is an equestrian and recently celebrated “A good old fashioned North Carolina birthday,” she captioned an Instagram image. “Riding a horse for 45 minutes at a walk, trot and canter can burn up to 200 calories,” said Dr. Dennis Sigler, a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service horse specialist and professor in the department of animal science at Texas A&M University in College Station. “If you do something a bit more strenuous such as cutting or reining, that can come out to nearly seven calories per minute for the entire length of the riding period,” adds the American Heart Association.

2. Take a Hike

Madison is a hiker. “Missing my LA hikes,” she captioned a photo of one of her exercise sessions. “Do one thing a day that makes you proud of yourself. 3.5 miles and 500 stairs will suffice for today,” she captioned another Instagram post. “Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between,” says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.

3. Soak in Hot Water

Madison soaks away her stress in hot tubs and baths. “Baby it’s -5 outside,” she captioned a recent jacuzzi snap. How can baths do your body and mind good? They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

4. Be “Natural” and “Authentic”

Madison recently explained to Natural Diamonds that authenticity is important to her. “The idea of natural means a lot to me. And in an age where everything seems fictitious…I’m in a position now where I am a role model, inspiring young girls who are not seeing a lot of natural at the moment. Not just with the obvious — plastic surgery — but also with authenticity,” she said. “On social media, you are presenting your best self all the time. And in a way I still am. I get on Instagram and I definitely am posting pictures where I look and feel my best, but I feel like it is important to be vocal about imperfections and about not always being in that moment and not always feeling your best self. Part of being natural is all of those very human emotions — I try to present myself in a way that feels human. I can’t lose myself, and lies are very hard to keep up with.”

5. Find “Workout Buddies

Madison is a big fan of the workout buddy system. Who does she train with? Her Outer Banks “pogue” costar Jonathan Davis. “I miss my workout buddies,” she captioned a snap of the two at the gym.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
