Below Deck star Magda Ziomek is dreaming of getting away on a magical vacation. The model posted a picture of herself looking blissful in a zebra-print bikini in Bali, Indonesia, with the caption “escaping my mind to the faraway places 🦓.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Ziomek stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves To Dive

Ziomek is an accomplished scuba diver, an activity she enjoys on vacation. "Blue space therapy is a woefully underused method of lifestyle prescription for our physical and mental health. Still, the research proves that taking a dip can boost our wellbeing ten-fold," says Dr Ruth Micallef, award-winning counselor and mental health expert. "Wild swimming has a host of research-proven benefits, including improved self-esteem, social confidence, and resilience—to name just a few."

2. She Skateboards

Skateboarding at the beach is one of Ziomek’s favorite hobbies. “Skaters are excellent critical thinkers and problem-solvers who view success from a more communal perspective. They bring that insight into other areas of their lives, which is valuable to any university or organization,” says skateboarding expert Neftalie Williams.

3. She Skis

Ziomek loves to spend hours out on the slopes. “Alpine skiing is a mix of endurance and resistance training,” says Dr. Josef Niebauer, a professor of sports medicine and cardiology and director of the Institute for Molecular Sports and Rehabilitation Medicine at Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg, Austria. “It has positive effects on the heart and circulation, as well as peripheral muscles—predominantly the legs.”

4. She Lifts Weights

Ziomek frequently incorporates weight training into her workout regimen. “Strength training is the only way you’re going to truly be able to sculpt the physique of your personal dreams,” says Chicago-based strength coach Sue Clark. “Above and beyond the physical changes, though, a whole new persona emerges as people start to feel really confident in their own bodies.”

5. She’s A Yogi

Ziomek likes to slow down and enjoy regular yoga sessions to balance out her high-energy activities. Studies show yoga is an incredibly effective stress-buster, which can have a profound impact on health. "There's a huge body of literature that says psychosocial stressors such as work and marital stress, as well as anxiety and depression, are associated with increased risk for cardiovascular disease," said Dr. Puja Mehta, an assistant professor of medicine in the division of cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. "With chronic stress, the sympathetic nervous system is in overdrive.”

Polish-Mexican star Ludwika Paleta is dreaming of summer days as she heads into the holiday season. The 43-year-old actress posted photos of herself wearing a black bathing suit with a white shirt over it, captioning the shots “Missing the beach... the ice, the friends, the mezcal, the laughter and the chocolate ❤️” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Paleta stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves Snorkeling

Los Metro Awards - Red CarpetJaime Nogales/Getty Images

Paleta is a big fan of ocean activities like snorkeling and swimming. “Research has shown that being near, in, on or under water can provide a long list of benefits for our mind and body, including lowering stress and anxiety, increasing an overall sense of well-being and happiness, a lower heart and breathing rate, and safe, better workouts, says marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols. “Aquatic therapists are increasingly looking to the water to help treat and manage PTSD, addiction, anxiety disorders, autism and more.”

2. She Takes Baths

Viii Edition Of The Platinum Awards For Ibero-american Cinema And AudiovisualsJavier Ramirez/Getty Images

As a busy mother of two, Paleta loves nothing better than relaxing in a bath. “Taking baths has great physical and mental health benefits,” says family medicine provider Amy Zack, MD. “Baths help many people sleep well,” notes Dr. Zack. “They also create a good environment for meditation, thought and escape from everyday stressors.”

3. She Likes To Kayak

GQ15 Mexico Men of The Year Awards - Blue CarpetAdrián Monroy/Getty Images

Paleta enjoys kayaking in the ocean, something experts say has many health benefits. “The term ‘blue mind’ describes the mildly meditative state we fall into when near, in, on or under water,” says Nichols. “It’s the antidote to what we refer to as ‘red mind,’ which is the anxious, over-connected and over-stimulated state that defines the new normal of modern life. Research has proven that spending time near the water is essential to achieving an elevated and sustained happiness.”

4. She Takes Collagen Supplements

Premio Iberoamericano De Cine Fenix 2016 - Red CarpetVictor Chavez/WireImage

Paleta takes collagen supplements as part of her wellness regimen. “Many people don’t realize that adding collagen to your diet can also help in reducing the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks,” says Amy Myers, MD. “When skin loses its elasticity and becomes thin, cellulite becomes more obvious. Collagen benefits your skin by increasing moisture retention, boosting elasticity, and helping to smooth out that dimpled appearance.”

5. Granola With Fresh Fruit For Breakfast

Paleta enjoys a bowl of granola with fresh fruit for breakfast. “Research suggests eating a wide variety of plant foods – ideally 30 different foods a week – is key to promoting a diverse range of beneficial gut bacteria,” says registered nutritionist Nicola Shubrook. “Granola is made up of a number of ingredients including oats, nuts, seeds and dried fruit. These ingredients are rich in dietary fibre and plant compounds called polyphenols which studies indicate have beneficial effects on the diversity of our gut microbes.”

Polish star Hanna Żudziewicz is showing off her spectacular dancing skills in a video posted on her Instagram. Wearing a black bathing suit top and gray shorts, Żudziewicz and partner Jacek Jeschke do a little dance on the beach before both of them end up falling over on the sand. “When you wanted to show off in front of your Dominican friends! 😎💃🏻😅,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Żudziewicz stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Fresh Salad

Żudziewicz enjoys fresh salads, especially with feta cheese. “Feta cheese contains beneficial microbes including yeasts and bacteria, such as Lactobacillus plantarum, which may help support gut health,” says registered nutritionist Nicola Shubrook. “In fact, probiotic yeasts from feta have been seen to tolerate low pH levels which puts them at greater chance of surviving the harsh environment of the stomach and getting to the part of the gut where they can be of most value.”

2. Coffee For Energy

Żudziewicz enjoys the energy boost coffee provides. “Coffee may help some people maintain alertness and energy levels thanks to its caffeine content,” Shubrook says. “When coffee is consumed, it is absorbed into the bloodstream and travels to the brain where it ‘fires up’ certain neurons which may improve memory, mood, energy and cognitive function, if consumed in moderation. Other reports suggest drinking coffee before exercise may reduce rates of exertion and potentially improve athletic performance.”

3. Calamari For Lunch

Fried,Squids,Or,Octopus,(calamari),With,Sauce,-,Unhealthy,FoodsShutterstock

Żudziewicz loves delicious calamari for a healthy lunch. “A basket of calamari is, no doubt, one of the most delicious ways to start a meal,” says nutritionist Robin Miller. “Nutritionally speaking, calamari (Italian for squid) is crammed with copper (one 3.5-ounce serving has 90% of your RDA). Why should you care? Copper is essential for all this: proper growth of the skeletal, nervous and cardiovascular systems; reducing inflammation and arthritis symptoms; pigmentation of hair, skin and eyes; building connective tissue; stimulating the brain; absorbing iron; stalling aging; producing energy in the body; inhibiting bacteria such as E-Coli; reducing cholesterol and boosting immunity.”

4. Dancing Queen

Żudziewicz dances for a living, which is a fantastic workout in itself. “Dancing is mainly linked to physical health benefits, but when you dance you are moving different parts of your body in a coordinated way, and this activates several parts of the brain,” says the British Heart Foundation. “One small study even found that dancing is associated with a lower risk of dementia. The research, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, followed 469 people aged 75 and over, who didn’t have dementia at the start of the study. The researchers measured the association between leisure and physical activities and the likelihood of developing dementia over time. They found that dancing was the only physical activity associated with a lower risk of dementia.”

5. She Loves To Swim

Żudziewicz enjoys swimming. “Swimming is the fourth most popular sports activity in the United States and a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity,” says the CDC. “Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. This can also lead to improved health for people with diabetes and heart disease. Swimmers have about half the risk of death compared with inactive people. People report enjoying water-based exercise more than exercising on land. They can also exercise longer in water than on land without increased effort or joint or muscle pain.”

Hiking offers psychological benefits, often contributing to a feeling of relaxation and enhanced well-being."

2. She Swims

"Inactivity and not ageing is often responsible for people’s lack of energy. Just 30 minutes of swimming three times per week can boost your energy levels through increased metabolic rate," says Swimming.org. "If sweating puts you off other forms of exercise, fear not! As a swimmer, you’ll never feel sweaty no matter how hard you work because the water around you is constantly cooling you down."

Varga is pretty quiet about her diet. However, she does love eating poke bowls. She posted this photo on Instagram of herself enjoying a bowl with salmon, radishes, onions, and other veggies. Varga captioned the photo, “I can finally dedicate myself to my favorite hobby.” "More and more evidence suggests that the health benefits of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and other plant foods are attributed to the synergy or interactions of bioactive compounds and other nutrients in whole foods. Therefore, consumers should obtain their nutrients, antioxidants, bioactive compounds, and phytochemicals from a balanced diet with a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and other plant foods for optimal nutrition, health, and well-being, not from dietary supplements," says one study.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

She’s Consistent

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! News that she made sure to be consistent with her wellness in order to prepare. “Really trying to dial in [on] what I eat, how I workout, the workouts that I do. Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

She Keeps Her Skin Healthy While Traveling

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. They are a go-to snack for me. I would say Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and some almonds would be perfect! Also, electrolytes to stay hydrated or some sort of collagen beauty powder or something."

Abigail Ratchford’s amazing body has helped her become one of the most famous models on the internet. The 32-year-old, who boasts over 9.1 million followers on Instagram alone, attributes her measurement-defying body to a few simple habits. Here is everything she does to stay fit at 32.

She Follows 4 Diet Rules

Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

She UsesMyFitnessPal

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Balanced Diet

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Strength Training

Ratchford also lifts weights. “Initially, I made the mistake that a lot of girls do and I was only doing cardio. I just really didn’t see too much change in my body. I’ve been listening to my girlfriends who are in great shape and they say you have to do weight training, you have to go in and do squats. That’s my new thing—I’ve been doing some resistance training, circuit training,” she told Men’s Fitness. The Mayo Clinic explains that strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

Develop strong bones

Manage your weight

Enhance your quality of life

Manage chronic conditions

Sharpen your thinking skills
