She Hits the Gym

Mahima is a big fan of exercising. You can find her at the gym almost every day using lots of equipment, including weights and machines to get her sweat one. "Workout," she captioned one of the workout videos. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans

She Rides Horses

Mahima also love riding horses. "Don't know but why that bounce looks so funny," she captioned this Instagram video of herself riding a horse. According to the American Heart Association, riding horses is great for your health. Not only does it boost cardiovascular health, but builds core strength, burns calories, and lowers blood pressure. It is also great for your mental health as it helps relax you.

She Dances

Another one of Mahima's go-to workouts? Dancing. She shares lots of dance videos on her Instagram page. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

She Meditates

Mahima also understands the importance of meditation. "When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress," says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

She Drinks Red Wine

If Mahima is going to enjoy an alcoholic beverage, she will stick to red wine. Here she is sipping on a glass. "Red wine, in moderation, has long been thought of as heart healthy," says the Mayo Clinic. "The alcohol and certain substances in red wine called antioxidants may help prevent coronary artery disease, the condition that leads to heart attacks."
