British actress Maisie Smith is kicking off the summer season at a swanky resort in Dubai, UAE. Smith, 21, posted pictures of herself posing in a white bathing suit, white skirt and pink shirt, against a background of blue skies and palm trees. “Cloud nine,” she captioned the snaps. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Smith stays in shape.
1. Yoga Sessions
Smith enjoys yoga sessions whenever she has time. "I have always loved keeping active, especially with yoga," she says. "Last year I met Cecilia Harris (celebrity PT) on holiday in Spain and we got chatting about ways I could get stronger and fitter. It all started with a couple of training sessions that I posted on Instagram which got hundreds of comments. It was then I realized that so many teens struggle with not only how to keep fit but also the confidence to join in group classes sometimes!"
2. Lifting Weights
Smith loves building muscle using weight and resistance training. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories," says the Mayo Clinic. “Strength training can reduce the signs and symptoms of many chronic conditions, such as arthritis, back pain, obesity, heart disease, depression and diabetes.”
3. Training For Celebrity SAS

Smith trained extra hard before appearing on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. "I've seen the show before and I really wanted to put my mental strength to the test,” she says. "I've always pushed myself but this was beyond limits I didn't even know I had. It was the best experience of my life."
4. Dancer’s Physique
Smith found herself actually eating more thanks to her intense training schedule for Strictly Come Dancing. "It's weird. Everyone always says, 'Going on this show, you're just going to shed the weight,'" she says. "But I haven't noticed that about myself because I eat triple the amount of food I was eating before. I think I'm the only celeb to actually put on weight."
5. Home Cooking
Smith loves making fajitas with fresh vegetables. “I’ve been eating fajitas every day because they’re the only things I can cook,” she says. “But I have absolutely mastered them. No one will ever have fajitas that are better than mine.”
